Great service and ongoing advice. Taking the time to explain my various options in simple form made the difference. They came and fitted my panels and Powerwall to an extremely high and neat standard. They even tried to talk me down from buying extra storage which is a refreshing approach. I recently had a PV solar system installed by Sunlit Solar, and I couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. From the very first consultation through to the final handover, the service was exceptional.

The team was highly professional, knowledgeable, and transparent throughout. They explained every step clearly, including system sizing, panel placement, potential savings, and how the system integrates with the grid. There was no pushy sales talk—just honest advice tailored to my property and energy needs.

Installation day went smoothly. The engineers arrived on time, worked efficiently, and left the site spotless. The panels look fantastic—sleek, modern, and perfectly aligned. They also set me up with a monitoring app so I can track energy generation in real time, which has been a real eye-opener!

What really stood out was the customer support. Even after the installation, they’ve been responsive to all my queries and offered helpful tips on optimizing energy use.

I was recommended to them by a friend and I have and will be recommending them to friends, family and customers.
From start to finish the team were extremely professional, the whole installation was very smooth and trouble free.
The service and aftersales has also been excellent and have been very patient even after dealing with absolutely useless DNOs on my behalf.

Found Sunlit solar a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. They were recommended from a friend and I will have no doubt about recommending them to others. The whole process from initial site inspection to various questions being answered was very smooth and the installation couldn't have gone better. I'm very happy to have gone down the local firm route, no hard sell and nothing was too much trouble.

I had a great experience with Sunlit Solar from start to finish. I’m really pleased with the system that’s been installed and Mike was excellent with his advice. The installation teams were great also. Only criticism which isn’t their fault is getting all the certificates and paperwork back but this was due to Sunlit waiting for it to come in from elsewhere. Despite this I’m still giving 5*!

Having decided to install solar panels I felt it was important to speak with at least 3 installers and believed that Sunlit Solar were the best option. From day 1 I received good personal service, helped by the fact they are a local family run business, and having been established for 20 years I felt reassured they were not going to disappear if I needed any support in the future. Their quote was very competitive and offered good value. I didn't get a "hard sell" but clear advice about the best solution for my needs. The installation
was carried out professionally and so far, after 3 months, I am extremely satisfied with the performance of the system. The on going support reassures me that I made the right choice. Highly recommended

I’ve wanted solar for a while and obtained 4 quotes.

3 providers did all this remotely and all included a battery. I don’t have an EV.

Mike Rogers (the MD) called personally and spent 2 hours with me. He showed me the panel they use. And we discussed the merits of a battery for my individual circumstances.

I did my research. There’s lots of useful YouTube content. I looked at the kit all the providers were proposing.

My conclusion was that Sunlit Solar were proposing the highest quality system. I decided to exclude the battery and wait a year to see what my economics will be before deciding. The battery is easily added.

After talking to others I also realised that the other 3 national providers were proposing lower quality kit and would subcontract the installation. I decided I wanted a team I had met, I trusted, and who would be around if I need anything in the future.

The installation was smooth and easy. A team of 3 were here 2 days to install 8 panels on the east facing and 8 on the west facing roof.

My surplus energy is now heating my water and I’ve turned off the oil boiler entirely as it’s summer still.

The economics are as follows.

I’m selling 50% of what we generate via an Octopus feed in tariff at 15p and I’m using 20% of what I was using before at 26p. Add the daily standing charge and I’m paying 80p a day now for the electricity I do use. This compares with a previous monthly bill of £120 (average across the year).

Plus I’m not paying to heat the water. Over the summer we’d get through a half tank of oil so I will save £400 there.

Obviously in the winter it won’t be as good as this. In a year I will have a full view.

The system comes with a great App that lets me see my spot usage, production, consumption etc.

And Sunlit monitor the system as well.

From paying my deposit to having my feed in set up took 6 weeks. In between there’s 2 DNO approvals that Sunlit took care of and the fitting of course.

I cannot find anything negative to say. I’m simply really pleased with every aspect of the process.

I could have got a slightly cheaper system but it would have been lower product quality and I have no idea who would have carried out the work.

You can probably guess if you’re still reading my review that I totally recommend Sunlit.

We highly recommend Sunlit Solar, who recently installed a solar battery for us. They were professional, efficient and informative from the outset and always helpful and knowledgeable in answering our many questions. We are glad we chose them to install the system.

Can’t recommend Sunlit Solar too highly. Throughout the whole process from initial discussion about installation to fitting and setting up, we have had a 5 star service. Professional and friendly throughout, all the work was completed to a high standard, and we could not be happier with what has been done.

Excellent customer experience. It was a tricky job as our house has 2 bat colony's and Natural England insisted on two bat survey's before work started. Sunlit Solar coped with all this, started on time and did a stellar installation efficiently and quickly. Excellent all round with friendly and efficient engineers and office staff. The installation which was completed at the end of September 2023 has produced 10% more electricity to date than they predicted despite us having the heaviest winter rain in this area since records began in the 1830's. The quality of workmanship was very good - I can say this with certainty as I am a retired registered electrician. I only wish that Octopus's capability to install a smart meter matched SS. They (Octopus) had to make 8 visits to get it to work, they left us without heating for weeks and it took a further 6 months to get accurate meter readings. For 5 weeks they would not respond to repeated emails and phone calls. Their customer care rating is 1 star, Sunlit Solar is 5 star.

From start to finnish my experience with SUNLIT SOLAR has been 5 star. The installation team where first rate, polite, and did a first rate install. My system has worked perfectly from day one and i am saving lots of money on my electricity bills.

They were almost 5 stars, I knocked one off because there was something wrong with the roof after they fitted the panels, they came back and fiddled around and it was all fine afterwards, but they didn't do anything about the water marks in the ceiling.

The Powerwall installation was a full 5 star job.

I contacted Sunlit Solar over a problem with the My Solar Edge app relating to a solar/battery installation. They responded promptly and took up the issue, keeping me informed, which was quickly resolved.

Sunlit Solar provided really good advice on the system set up and requirements and answered all of my questions. The DNO approval was handled by them and the installation took place really quickly. This included removal of my old roof windows to make space for two extra solar panels. The installation team were polite and kept me updated. They ensured that I installed the Apps I needed to monitor the system and showed me how to use them.
There were a couple of teething problems due to the old consumer unit after the installation, but the team came back really quickly and these were resolved. I had a question a few months after the job was completed. This was answered immediately, by providing me with details of who to email at Tesla and what to say in the email.
I would definitely recommend the company to anyone getting a solar/battery installation.

They designed a very good installation for my property and then delivered it efficiently. I recommend them highly
