The carers are a breath of fresh air!

The carers are lovely, they are really kind to my mum and will do anything she needs, she describes them as a breath of fresh air! They are efficient and carry out personal care respecting mums dignity.
The only down side is the irregular time slots, which at first she struggled with but is getting used to it now, unfortunately this is the norm for home calls and not the fault of the carers.

Appalling business set up and service…

Appalling business set up and service avoid. Although the some carers are amazing they are so stretched out carers constantly late due to bad organisation. 6 times towards end carers didnt even come. Some carers no experience what so ever. Yes all staff put on nvq so looks good but bad service to begin with. Think they think about the income more than the clients to be fair.

Update.
I wrote this 2 years ago and u acknowledge now? The annoying thing is communication was your biggest let Down, at first you were a good company and I had regular carers but then I personally found you got greedy and took on too many clients for you to handle and then you just employed anyone as u was so stretched.

No communication, no duty of care

I worked for sunnylives and it's the worsed job I ever had. Communication is zero. Care of duty to clients and staff is bad. We need to go to work when we're ill because they can't cover.
They never contact you or the client, no communication at all. There is no training upon starting, your thrown out in the field and to learn as you go.

Poor management skills and no duty of care

I worked for sunnylives for just under 1 year, the management are poor, they have not got management skills in place and duty of care for staff is shocking. I was going through a difficult time in my life and tried to ask for help, but management shrugged me off. They given broken promises and do not care for the clients or staff. There is no training upon starting, your thrown out in the field and to learn as you go. They are very clicky with very few members of staff and its very obvious.

Wonderful carers....

the carers themselves are wonderful and most are a credit to the company. when they turn up they do what is required however recently the punctuality of them coming has got to be a bit of a joke and bad rota's putting extra strain on the carers themselves. like I say good carers but communication is appalling.. as a paraplegic sometimes care needs include moving my legs to prevent pressure sores when 2 hours late this could then become a bit of a problem that could result in me getting pressure sores. they used to be good however think they taken too many clients for them to cover? I have stretches that need to be done on my legs and 3 members of staff got trained 1 left 1 became a senior and 1 I still have. my physio and the one that I have left have both offered to train staff correctly to safe guard themselves as well as me however no one been sent in for training as of yet (they blame covid) however they send way too many staff for my care without training, so they can't be worried about their staff or me cos in one week I have 6 different carers at my 10am care call and 1 has underline back issue.
Big problem they have is things take a while to be put in place. They say they haven't had email although they've replied on the email that has the information.
management don't act on reported issues and although they have a duty of care to their staff as well as me they send staff that have underline health/back problems to manage my care although they and I have asked them not to be sent! they lose good staff cos they don't act or listen to them. also when ring to sort issues manager starts raising voice rather than deal with the issue and admit that they are failing but instead just make excuses and in denial of the problems at hand.

Above and beyond

SunnyLives goes above and beyond for my family. The carers tackle every situation with such care and compassion. The office staff are amazing, every query is handled professionally. It’s very reassuring knowing they are only a phone call away.
Can’t thank them enough

Very good company and amazing staff...

Lovely management and staff who are caring, helpful and supportive. The girls are upbeat, happy and uplifting on their visits. Everyone in the company cares about their clients whole wellbeing. My mum looks forward to their visits and has regular girls, who she can have playful banter and laughs with. Only one slight down full is that being a double up call it doesn't always work well for arriving together. Being a fairly new company at least they are learning and adapting. Overall, we are happy with our service and the amazing staff.
