Predatory lending
Predatory lending. Was told if I paid loan off early I would pay little or no interest. Had loan 30 days and only signed a live check send in mail for under 700.00. They charged me 150.00 on interest for one month.
Very bad business. They work just like payday loans. RUN AWAY

Unsolicited live checks - beware
They are sending out unsolicited live checks, trying to get people to take out a loan with them. This is a major red flag, since it would easily allow fraud. I will never work with this company, and I'll be sure to let everyone I know not to work with them, as well.

The consumer finance industry, which includes Sunset Finance as well as many other companies, is heavily regulated by State and Federal law. The Live Checks received in the mail meet all federal and state guidelines, and this type of advertising/solicitation is common within the consumer finance industry. In fact, many consumers look forward to receiving checks during the holidays, and the convenience of receiving it in the mail is also welcomed. Should you wish to not be included on future solicitations, there are instructions included within the mailers that explain how you may opt-out.
