So the good points are - The apartment was spotless. The layout of the resort is very good. There was air conditioning in the apartment, a min fridge, and a large wall mounted tv (the only English channels were Sky News and CNN, which is fine). The grounds of the resort were spotless. The cleaning service and linen changing was every day. The resort is a 6 minute walk from the main strip but is still just enough away so that the noise doesn't travel.....The bad points - The resort WIFI wasn't great. When we stayed the resort was full of children. The bathroom facilities within the room (they call them apartments, but its really just a room) are not separated from the living area (the hotel designer really needs to lose their job), so in our case when the bathroom was occupied, the person not using the bathroom had to open the apartment window and stick their head out to give a bit of privacy to the bathroom user!....We actually brought some cardboard with us and some tape to stick above the huge gap above the bathroom door to create a bit more privacy. The apartments are small enough (if there actually was a wall separating the bathroom facilities from the living area, the rooms really would be tiny). The Hotel is cashless, you top up a proximity bracelet if you want to pay for things in the hotel (we didn't bother buying anything in the hotel because of this, because if you lose your bracelet there is no refund of the money you put on it). The upstairs apartments don't have a balcony, and as far as I know there is a charge if you want to change to a downstairs apartment which has a small fake grass strip to the front with 2 deck chairs (the accommodation blocks are basically a 1 up 1 down arrangement). Salou is very expensive to eat (around 60 euro for 2 people, and then drinks would obviously be extra), I'm sure if you go further away from Salou the prices would be cheaper, but nonetheless its a rip-off. The shops in Salou are generally awful, full of tourist junk.

Amazing hotel, spotless clean and plenty for the kids to do.water slides and entertainment every night.We opt in to the breakfast and there was a lot of variety to choose from.We will definitely be going back.Alannia is a very family ordinated hotel and very modern.
