Wonderful! Although it’s changed its name, once we walked in the door of the hotel we were met with courtesy, friendliness and professionalism by the staff. We were lucky enough to be able to upgrade from a basic room to a bigger one with a balcony once there was one available and at a small fee. Beds were comfortable although a little hard for someone six months post hip replacement but I did sleep really well. There was a fridge in the room, despite what others have said which was very useful. Also had a safe in the room. Breakfast was similar every day, but I was okay with that as I tended to go for the boiled eggs, fruit and yoghurt. In the afternoon there was a barbecue available at an extra cost. Richard the bar man made the best Sangria which I had every day - delicious! Sunbeds were hard to get by the pool but since by husband wasn’t interested in sunbathing I could usually find a lone bed somewhere! The location of the hotel is ideal - quiet location but very close to all amenities. Turn right down the hill for the best restaurants and beautiful sea views. Also a nice Scottish bar with live music most nights. Turn left down the hill for shops, coffee shops and restaurants - ideal for daytime snacks etc. There is a market every Saturday - a bit of a walk but ask for directions. Fruit, olive oil, bread and pastries as well as jewellery and clothing. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed our 10 day holiday and felt rested and rejuvenated on my return home.
