I picked this particular NCL Viva Eastern Mediterranean Cruise myself and asked Sunway to put a package together. Alice Taylor organised the flights, hotel and transfers taking note of my specific preferences. She was a pleasure to deal with and I would have no hesitation using Sunway again. Without her contribution I would have given the trip 3 stars, see following… The NCL Viva is almost new and in spotless condition internally. Most of the crew made huge efforts to make people feel welcome and to cater for their needs. The range of drinks available on the basic drinks package was very good and the food adequate. The itinerary on this cruise was the main attraction and it broadly delivered. Unfortunately there were some negatives, given the cost of the cruise. The embarkation process was a shambles, took hours, with limited accurate information available. The food choice in the main restaurants was limited and dishes were repeated across multiple restaurants. Some dishes were excellent but many were poor. Having said this, the view and service in the Hudson restaurant was so exceptional that we returned most nights. The entertainment choice was limited with none of the “big shows” expected. (It was more like a cut price holiday camp effort.)
