Superprof (Nigeria) is full of grossly unprofessional and underqualified people posing as teachers etc because there's no real verification process. Also I noticed that superprof will hide bad reviews of teachers on their site. I found that many of the reviews I read weren't true reviews - a lot of the people on there just get their friends to write something. Also the prices quoted on the site are always different from the ones the teachers tell you when you reach out to them and the "first lesson free" offer is rarely true. They always find a way to explain why they cannot give it. The teachers show up hours late, are rude and generally in it just as an easy way to make extra cash. Terrible experience on this site, really.

I am amazed to see that the majority of the reviews are positive, as my experience was a near disaster! It wasn't a total disaster because I have had a good student recommended by Superprof, one I have been teaching for a while now, and I am particularly thankful for that.

Consequently, I decided to subscribe for the pro pass on 24/7/2023 with the understanding that I could cancel the subscription at anytime by sending a mail to that effect to howfar@superprof, but that simply wasn't the case as my mails went unreplied (the good old criminal silence).
Sensing the risk of recurring debits to my account, I disabled access to my debit card. It was only at the expiration of the pro pass that Superprof reached out to me, informing me of their inability to make a deduction and a seven-day extension period during which I can re-enter credit card details.

With such horrible client service, I am now very much a spectator, and unless drastic changes are made and communicated, I will never pay for their services again.

SuperProf is a fair platform in which tutors can be contacted and employed based on how well they know their job which reflects from their profile.

I am happy working with superprof. The platform is simple to interact with. My clientele went from only Nigeria clients to receiving class requests from other countries. I am amazed at the reach the platform has in other nations. I only pay a 1000 naira and I earn in foreign currency. I love being a French teacher on superprof.

Although the most students who apply don't eventually take the lessons, I think questions should be ask before allowing them request for a teacher rather than requesting and not take the classes.

I've been on a platform before, that requests you pay for credit, before you can apply to teach a student who may not even accept. At some point I believed these sites pretend to be students just to extort you as a tutor.
It's not so with Superprof and it's very reliable, it's just out to help both the tutors and learners.

One great experience is the prompt notification both via SMS and E-mail once a learner request for a tutor and vice versa
