****AVOID ROCKSTAR MOTORS NOW CALLED…

****AVOID ROCKSTAR MOTORS NOW CALLED SUPERSTAR MOTORS DUE TO ALL THE HATE AND COURT CARS GOING THROUGH ****
Hi all, i wanted to make you all aware of a nasty situation that recently happened to me. I was trying to sell my car for a few months but no luck and i was then approached by ‘rock star motors’ or ‘essex motors’ not sure what one they are called as they can’t pay a tax bill so had to change their name. They told me they would sell my car for me, they keep 1k and i keep the rest, they told me they get these cars in all the time and sell within 2/3 weeks. Perfect sounds ideal, i needed a quick sale. Fast forward 2 months later, car still not sold and i desperately need a car back as i have gone to long with no car, i message them and explain the situation on why i need my car back (any communication with these people they take days to answer and do not pick up the phone either and when they do answer it’s their young employees who DANNY HUGH’s is also taking advantage of) As we had no answer we went down their and my car is not their and also no one is in the office (their opening hours are 9am-7pm monday - sunday as per their website and when we went done their it was around 5:30pm) No one’s their and no car , we finally got hold of a man called pete, who told us we can have the car back for a additional cost of £2K!!! Pete told us to stop calling him as he was out with his family but again as per their opening times, the business is still running so they should have provided me a customer service, he said if we don’t stop message about MY car he is going to block me. The whole thing was a scam, we got an invoice back and they were charging us for putting my car on platforms , THAT IT WAS NOT EVEN ON!!! they was charging me for things like a ‘sale sign’ & ’car air freshener’ and ‘washer fluid’ that by the way hadn’t even been topped up. I had to pay the 2k or i couldn’t get my car back, i had no choice. We was told by 2 employees we are not the first person this has happened to this week, their was 3 people they have scammed this week to. That’s £6K in total this man who got of innocent people. But if you are approached by anyone from their company, do NOT go through with anything. The owner is a man called Danny Hugh’s, he enjoys taking people’s money, he knows the loop holes on how to get around people. I am a young female, they saw i was vulnerable, they saw the opportunity and took it.

Do not ignore these reviews. This company are not legit, not trustworthy and not ethical in any way

Do not buy and certainly do not sell your car through this disgusting excuse for a company.

I had a call when somebody from Superstar Cars (then called Rockstar Motors) had seen my auto trader ad selling my golf for £9500. They assured me they had buyers waiting for that exact car and they could sell it for £10,500. Take a fee of £1000 for their trouble (which they assured me and I have written proof would not be more than this) and then return me the £9500 I originally asked for. I couldn't lose, or so I thought. After the car was sold, I had to wait several months and send repeated emails and calls (all of which went ignored). When I threatened them with legal action via citizens advice, I finally got my payment. However, it was £2505 short of the agreed £9500. I asked to see where these hidden costs had been charged and was promised a sale invoice which never arrived despite daily phone calls and emails.

Long story short, I've been left with £6995 for a car that I was offered £9000+ for privately but had to turn down as they had me locked into a contract that as it turns out, was immoral and paper thin.

I will get my £2505 back as I am taking legal action and refuse to let Danny Nevill and superstar cars get away with this blatant theft.

Please don't let this be you.

AVOID!!

AVOID!!

This is basically a rebranding of Rockstar Motors who con people out of thousands of pounds and don’t care about the consequences!

I handed over my car on good faith with the agreement that if they sell my car they keep £1k and if they don’t I get my car back at no cost, then when I wanted it back after months of no interest I get a bill for £5k consisting of a number of hidden charges!!

Months of negotiations and them refusing to give me my car back, I have been left out of pocket, credit score affected and utterly lost trust in everyone.

Avoid Danny Neville at all costs!! Doesn’t care about anyone and just wants to make a quick buck!

Avoid this company!

*SUPERSTAR CARS IS THE NEW NAME FOR ROCKSTAR MOTORS* Same owner, premises, stock etc

I was cold called by Peter in response to my private advert on Autotrader. He told me he would sell my car and take £1000 commission. There is a lot of detail behind this but essentially they ended up taking 3.5k and selling my car for 2k below the initial asking price. So I ended up with nearly 4.5k less than I initially was led to expect.

Read the small print, all of it and also seek out the genuine reviews. Unfortunately there are are many made up ones out there on various platforms.

AVOID at all costs

AVOID at all costs. The owner scammed me, sold my car but I didn't receive a penny. Took 4k (promised £1k fees) after finance was paid but that was only paid when we initiated small claims court. Still waiting on £3k owed. He is renaming his business from Rockstar Motors to this cliché of a name. They source you via Autotrader so beware. Do not touch with a BARGEPOLE
