From Friday 2nd August, it seems SVS may have ceased operating.
The following two brokers offer a reliable "Execution Only" service.
XO by Jarvis - £5.95 per trade, no additional costs
IWEB by Halifax - £5 per trade, no additional costs
Send off a stock transfer form ASAP to try to get to the front of the queue.
Absolute crooks. Discretionary service is run for their own benefit. Large number of small stock trades to generate commission. Stay well clear.
I made the fatal mistake of trusting money to their advisory service. In all after 18 months almost 3/5 of my money had disappeared in various trades they recommended.
Don't do what I did and open an advisory account with this company unless you want to lose money.
The trading and account is easy to use and relatively cheap and i would recommend it. Had it for 4 years. However as mentioned in other reviews beware of upgrade to advisory accounts unless you fully understand the AIMS market and the difference between Principle shares (SVS will own these) and shares they are recommending. Principle shares will be sold to you at a markup and you should check the percentage as it will be quoted in pennies. It is regulated but please check you fully understand how they make money.
Absolute scam do not invest with these people they are useless
Good broker. Fast reliable website platform. Been with them since 2011. Costs are low (£8 flat commission and absolutely no other costs). While recently there have been lower cost "zero cost" brokers, I don't know if they are trustworthy, while I do believe SVS is reputable.
The only niggle is that a few times a year they phone me and try to "upgrade" me to an advisory account which I'm not interested in. Other than that, its a good broker.
I felt the need to write this review as the only other one here at time of writing was 1star, which I think is unfair, or they are fake.

I strongly advice not to invest with these people.
