I ordered a Cadillac Deville engine…

I ordered a Cadillac Deville engine from them on July 22, 2022 Invoice # 399116 with an estimated delivery 2 weeks later. What was delivered in early September was a worn out piece of junk. I spent 2 days cleaning it up only to find evidence of head gasket leaks and overheating and sloppy attempted repairs. When I notified them, they falsely claimed I had removed the heads which voided the warranty.

The worst company I have ever dealt…

The worst company I have ever dealt with...Took months to receive the engine. Claimed it was compression tested. Cylinder 4 misfire with burnt exhaust valve. Engine was never overheated in my possession but was sent with melted heat tabs. Engine was barely used and denied warranty after calling almost daily for 3 weeks straight. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!!!

this is a total scam company

this is a total scam company, i bought an engine on sep 5 2022. 2 weeks after i paid for the engine ($ 5095 ) i called and ask where is my engine. their answer was: we are still inspecting the engine. one week later (3rd week) i called again and their answer was that they were still inspecting the engine. the delivery time supposed to be from 7 to 14 days accordind to their web page. so on 4th week i called and they said engine was not ready yet. so i just asked for my refund. and they just returned me ($3821) they took 25% of my total because i cancel the engine. an engine that probably never existed because i never received that is a good way to make easy money for them. but im working with my bank now to receibe all my money back.

SWEngines represented that they had my…

SWEngines represented that they had my replacement in inventory, which they did not. Consequently, it took several weeks to get the engine delivered.
Their warranty is a sham. They advertise 5/50, which seems very generous. The fine print however states that the warranty must be activated within 10 days of DELIVERY - VERY UNREASONABLE.

This place will screw you over

This place will screw you over. I paid $3000 for an engine. It will not run. They will not honor their advertised warranty. The advertised warranty was the reason I bought from them. I have called and called them with nothing but excuses and hanging up.
I know that all can’t be perfect with used stuff but HONOR YOUR WARRANTY.
All information they required was sent in and nothing ever done and when you call them and finally get someone, then it’s like a stuck record. They didn’t get this or now we need that.
Biggest joke of a company. JUST DONT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE.
Yes Sancho I am talking especially to you.

SW sells absolutely Crap Engines

I bought a Fiat 1.4 liter engine from SW engines and with the help of a mechanic friend installed the engine. Once installed it did not start! The friend checked the codes but couldn’t find the problem. He suggested maybe a Fiat dealer could help. The dealer was more than 50 miles away but I had the car towed there. After 2 weeks the dealer determined there was no oil pressure and said because the valves were solenoid activated by the oil pressure, intake valves were not opening due to the fact that there was oil pressure. He suggested taking off the oil pan to check the pump. To do this he had to pull the engine. I thought maybe it was a simple problem but once he did this he found gunk and junk inside the pan, pump and pick up tube. He said he could replace the oil pump but because it looked so bad on the inside he didn’t know if this would solve the problem. Long story short while the engine looked good on the outside the inside was crap! I decided not to go forward and am now more than $1000 in labor debt with the dealer and $1300 lost on the cost of the engine. Checking the warranty, I knew I was out of luck because the engine problem was discovered about 2 months after the delivery date and installed about 1 month after delivery. Warranty states it must be installed within 10 days. Obviously SW never bothered to check the engine they sent and I lost $2500 installing what I thought was a good engine. Don’t even consider buying from this company. They have no pride in their service or quality of products sold. They will take your money at any opportunity they can!

Do not buy from this company

Do not buy from this company. Ordered a used 5.3, showed up not strapped down, laying on its side. Missing parts, both manifolds, injectors w/rail and intake is busted. This thing looks like they pulled it out sat it on pallet and shipped it. There is no way this engine has been tested or checked. After multiple attempts to get them to respond I gave up and contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge.

SWEngines - Fraud

Fraud, stay away! I bought a used 6.6L LB7 Duramax diesel engine with an advertised mileage of 93,000 miles. What showed up is an engine with 293,000 miles. They refuse to refund a portion of the purchase price and they refuse to cover the cost of replacement. They are responsible for significantly lowering the value of my vehicle and refuse to make me whole. The next call is to an attorney.

Do not use this company

Do not use this company. It's a scam. I ordered an engine, it took almost one month to get it. Numerous phone calls wondering where it was and they kept saying -" it's being prepared to ship". Since it took so long to get I lost my window of free time I had to install it in their "get it done in 10 days or you get no warranty " policy. So I received the engine and it looked like it was pulled out of a river. Filthy, caked with dirt, signs of fluid leakage. I called them to discuss condition of engine and was constantly put on hold, switched over to next person, then eventually disconnected. Many phone calls. Got nowhere. So I installed the engine- a complete piece of junk. I started it up and panicked right away shutting it off. Loud banging, clunking, metal thrashing sounds. Called SW, again no one ever fielded the call ( numerous times) , just kept staying on hold, switched over to next person, on hold, then disconnected. Took it to local Ford dealer. Quickly diagnosed timing chain issue which caused internal damage, unfixable, my report said engine was junk. Tried calling SW over the next 2 months and finally talked to someone. They said send in dealer report and video but honestly I doubt we will do anything for you. No one ever replied to my email, I kept sending emails ( over a dozen times). Called a bunch more same result. Finally talked to someone who said my claim had been closed and they are not doing anything for me.

Scam, scam, scam. I dug deeper, that's their history. Bad reviews, law suits, misrepresented product. Save your money, time and frustrations and buy local.

I finally bought a used engine locally. I had 30 days to install it with a 6 month no questions asked warranty. It was in pristine shape, cleaned up nice and packed professionally. Installed it in one weekend. Runs great, super quiet.

I seem to be the exception here but…

I seem to be the exception here but I've learned that people are more motivated by anger to leave a review than any other experience. So here we go.... I purchased a 2009 Kia Sedona engine from this company back in March 2015 for $2040. 7 years and 106K miles later I'm still driving the ol' grocery-getter and this engine shows NO sign of giving up any time soon.

2.7 liter Boxster Engine

I purchased an engine in June 2021. After two bad engines, the third was installed in January 2022. The firms claims engines are cleaned and tested prior to shipment. Engine #1 was filthy. One cylinder had no compression and 100% leakage. A second cylinder was 50% compression and 50% leakage. Engine #2, also quite dirty was better but had deposited on top of one of the pistons detected by a borescope test. Engine #3 was clean and passed compression, leakage and borescope tests. However, SWEngines refused to provide any testing and mileage on this engine. The only good thing about this company is that the warranty manager, Cindy did answer the phone or the review would be one star. In any case, I would not buy from this firm again

WAITING ON LABOR REIMBURSEMENT CHECK

PURCHASED A USED ENGINE ALMOST TWO YEARS AGO AND THE FIRST ONE FAILED. THE WARRANTY STATES THAT LABOR WILL BE PAID IF THE FIRST ENGINE FAIL, WHICH IT DID. A REPLACEMENT WAS SENT AND INSTALLED. WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR ALMOST A YEAR AN A HALF FOR OUR REIMBURSTMENT CHECK. NUMEROUS PHONE CALLS AND EMAILS HAVE RESULTED IN STILL NO CHECK. IF YOU AGREE TO PAY FOR LABOR THEN THE COMPANY SHOULD DO SO. NOT PAYING IS BAD BUSINESS.
