I would rate below 1 star if its an option. Our backpack had material issue and filed claim. They approved and gave us 15% off coupon SERIOUSLY !! Per warranty it should be replacement or equivalent... See more

Late shipping times and no Christmas guaranteed
Ordered a backpack on December 10 so that we would have it in time for Christmas. On December 20 I checked the status and it still had not been shipped. Their website clearly says anything ordered by December 18 would be delivered in time for Christmas via the ground service. I contacted support through the chat function on their website and they basically told me that I could not be guaranteed delivery on any item placed on their website. Even though the website clearly had specific dates for guaranteed delivery. The person on the chat was of no help and basically said That I would just have to wait and they were working on orders, but they were behind because of Christmas. I informed him that’s why I ordered on December 10 for a simple backpack. He said shipping only takes two days from Florida to my location. He still could not tell me when it would actually ship in whether or not I would have it to give us a Christmas gift. I asked whether I should just cancel it and order something from someone else. He informed me I could not cancel it and I would have to wait till I got it and then request a return. Terrible customer service Would not order from them again
The luggage falls apart after one trip…
The luggage falls apart after one trip and despite the thousands of hoops they put you through for a refund, it's BS. All you get is a 15% off coupon on a future purchase. Terrible product. Terrible customer service.
RUN from this company!
I ordered directly from Swissgear. They sent me the wrong items. I contacted them and returned them the same day after being told they'd ship the correct items as soon as I ship it back. They got the items and then never contacted me. I spent several days trying to contact them. Calling them is pointless as you'll hear a message that no one is there. It took 7 hours of waiting on chat before they finally responded. They promised to ship the following day. I'm STILL waiting for that to happen. Can't reach anyone, no items, no tracking number, no money. Company doesn't care.
Over-priced, under-whelmed
USB socket on miner's headlamp broke after a couple of uses. Not apparent how warranty can be upheld outside the US. In any case, the lowest of three light settings was far too bright for my purposes. Avoid.
Warranty Is a Joke — Waste of Money
I paid over $100 for a carry-on suitcase that was defective and partially fell apart the first trip. Upon filing a warranty claim, they approved the claim—only to change their minds and issue a 15% coupon after I had verified my purchase.
The wheels did not work properly from…
The wheels did not work properly from the beginning and got worse. My warranty was denied as they determined it was a result of airline handling. My other luggage that is a different brand is still great after 10 years and travelled along with the Swiss Gear. I will never buy again.
Poorly Constructed
Poorly constructed. I purchased a luggage roller for travel with high expectations of SwissGear. The luggage piece is flimsy and not sturdy. Falls over on the front of the bag. The handle litterally snapped off after just 1 trip. I contacted SwissGear for warranty and NOTHING. Crickets. No response to my warranty claim which was not user freindly, no response to my calls. Hello American Tourister.
Not happy
Not happy, first trip and the stitching in my bag was unraveling itself. Very sad really liked the design colour and price.
Not meant for air travel
On the third flight with my new Swissgear 24" hard shell suitcase a wheel fell off. I actually saved the 10 year warrenty card inside the lining. After writing to customer service about this, I recieved an answer that basically said that the warranty doesn't cover damages that happen while in use travelling, and that they no longer have replacement parts.
I requested a warranty on a carry on…
I requested a warranty on a carry on luggage it was supposed to have a life time warranty product that I purchased 3 years ago and now in 2024 I called and they no longer have the type of warranty. Shame on this brand because I will not purchase o recommend this brand again.
Poor Backpack Quality and Customer Service…
I have been using Swissgear backpacks for my personal travel and business travel needs. It is so very disappointing that when I engaged their customer service about a zipper quality issue with one of their backpacks the response I got was “I never heard that happening before” and they provided no help or resolution. They stopped responding to me and ignored my emails when they said they would be in touch. Their zipper failed and my laptop backpack opened up and my laptop crashed to the floor and broke.
I will NEVER use a Swissgear product again and don’t recommend anyone do as well!
Bad experience
No help from customer service, despite multiple phone calls the supervisor never returned my phone calls. The product is under warranty but no one from the Swissgear is ready to help.
Very poor Warranty Customer Service
Customer service is almost non-existent and works at a glacial pace. I speak from my recent experience after my fairly less used cabin baggage’s handle got stuck and could not be retracted. I decided to invoke a warranty claim, with the understanding that Swiss Gear products come with a 10-year warranty. But it’s been close to 2 months and I have not received any response, let alone a replacement. The warranty claim needs to be filed via a web form and there is no email from any person. At this point, the 10-year warranty seems like a false selling point. Avoid this brand, if you’re looking for sturdy quality luggage and a brand that will stand by its (tall) warranty claims. Swiss Gear disappoints on both fronts. Never buying this brand again.
I've bought many swisstech products
I've bought many swisstech products, but that will never happen again.
They make it so difficult to get their junk warrantied. That way they don't have to pay for.
I had a flash light fail and the hoops they demanded I jump through to get it fixed is ridiculous. There's better companies that will warranty their products no questions asked. Like streamlight.
Swisstech is a joke. We were buying about 15 flashlights and head lamps plus battery packs per year for our clients.
Never again!!!
F.... SWISSTECH!
Bad experience with warranty claim
I've been an owner of SwissGear luggage for a while, and recently had an issue with the handle of a carry on malfunctioning. I went through a lengthy process of a warranty claim, months, and quite frankly, spoke with multiple people by email and phone. I followed all their direction, taking photos, copies of receipts, cutting out and sending in the luggage label. All to be sent a 10% coupon to be used on their site, even though I was told by email that they conditionally approved my warranty claim. Turns out, the 10 year warranty only applies luggage purchased from
their site or target. Be very careful about misleading advertising regarding their warranty and the hoops and hoops of work you have to do for a claim. I've never written a review about a warranty but this really irked me and I will never be purchasing any products from Swiss Gear as a company that doesn't stand by their products and what is advertised.
DO NO BUY
this company is a scam , I was a loyal customer always had their product and when I got the issue with carry on they refused the claim because I didnt save the receipt.I would not buy anymore their product , bE AWARE their shady practice
This company is a scam!
This company is a scam!
My suitcase broke in under a year, so I tried to claim it under warranty. They approved it, but took months to process the return.
Then the coupon code they gave me didn't work, so I had to wait weeks for a response to support messages.
Then they sent the completely wrong item once I was finally able to use the coupon code.
Do not buy from them!
Swiss Gear luggage was gifted to me…
Swiss Gear luggage was gifted to me less than one year, used only twice and the telescopic handle no longer functions. Submitted warranty claim and was issued 15% on new product which is less than the postage it cost me to send labels from defective luggage as part of a tedious claim process.
Warranty claim
Warranty claim. Unacceptable. Deceptive and completely dishonest.
Luggage damaged traveling. Initiated claim. The claim process itself is onerous, and completely a test of will. One can see they bank on few completing it. First a lengthy electronic submission (including pictures, receipts, etc). Then wait for an 'approval'. I made it! They sent a lengthy explanation, that included and assurance I would receive and exact replacement (including shipping), or a credit for the full value! Awesome! All I had to Now do is cut the labels (same ones they wanted pictures of!), and tape them to a "claim form". Then send (they recommend 'trackable' mail), and wait for another "approval".
I received the highly anticipated "approval" in the form of a 50% off coupon of my claim. If following along, they already "approved" the claim - full value - etc. etc. There was no contact provided, other than a cold call email to SwissGear.com. Ridiculous.
I just received a return email from 'Calvin' - ostensibly "Customer Support". He tells me they do not provide warranty for airline travel damage. Really. They sure want you to think they do, and their own system "approved" it with my full full disclosure of the warranty claim circumstances. It's literally the first question they ask!
I cannot Stand poor customer service, and have No Respect for the Clown Car Management on down to 'Calvin'.
Poor customer service
Poor customer service. Swiss Gear lunch bag arrived crushed with defective zipper.
I filled out the return form and uploaded pics of the issues. No response after 10 days.
Sent email and got generic reply it’s under review by Swiss Gear staff.
Clearly the item is defective.
Not worth the aggravation Swiss Gear.
