We purchased a king size box spring bed at the Swiss Sense location in Alkmaar on our vacation to the Netherlands.
At first we didn't have a clear picture of what bed we would like to purchase. However, we were greatly consulted by the sales clerk Timo, who led us step by step through the process to find out what matters most to me and my partner when it comes to our dream bed.
At last we did purchase our dream bed (and also received a few free accessories - such as pillows and covers - on top of our purchase ;-). Now we are eagerly waiting for the delivery. Even though we purchased at the Dutch location, shipping to Germany (where we live) and installation is free of charge.

It's a good purchase, the bed quality is great after 6 months after the purchase. Our rest improved tremendously and we cannot see ourselves sleeping in our old bed anymore.

I’m happy to say that SwissSense responded to my problem with professionalism and quickness.
They made a mistake, and eventho the first person I talked to didn’t help me, soon they realized that it was their mistake and responded inmidiatly after I expressed my bad experience.

Horrible experience. They took almost 3 months in deliver it and when it came they forgot a very important piece of the bed, that actually gives the warranty. They took another week to send the piece and when it came I had to do it myself. I didn’t chose such a “high brand” to have this experience…and the worst, they did not do anything for me, or to make my experience better. I would never recommend this company to anyone. They are not serious and they don’t respond when something is wrong.

The delivery went completely wrong. We paid for them to take the old mattress with them, they refused because it was not packaged. The shop was supposed to give us wrapping plastic. We had no idea.
They tried to dissemble the old bed, told us the screws were a different kind, so they left it. The new mattresses were left in the packaging. The new bed bottoms could not fit without legs and told us to buy some and then left.
In the end we called customer service which was amazing btw! We ordered the legs and they would pass by to take the old mattress.
They handed us the bed legs, told us how to assemble, and that was it. Did not take the old mattress again. In the end we took it to a recycling center ourselves.
Just as an FYI, in the end two girls were able to dissemble the bed frame with the “weird” screws while two grown men couldn’t.

If you want to pay thousands for an incomplete, broken bed and then be told to “just sleep on it” — Swiss Sense is the place for you. We feel completely fooled by Swiss Sense after what has been the most frustrating purchase experience in years.
We placed an order for a bed with the Leiderdorp Swiss Sense team, explicitly asking about the actual delivery time. We were told 13 weeks. In reality, it arrived after 19 weeks — and even then, the bed was incomplete and without legs.
The delivery experience was just as disappointing. The delivery team assembled the bed in a slanted position and casually told us “you can sleep on it.” How on earth am I supposed to be comfortable on a bed that’s tilted, unstable, and already damaging my floor because the iron brackets are in direct contact with it?
Now, after delivering an unusable product, Swiss Sense has informed us that it will take another 11 weeks to deliver the missing legs — because they are “custom.” No compensation, no temporary solution, no alternative legs in the meantime. Just a shrug and a long wait.
We paid €2,792 for what was supposed to be a premium product, but we received:
• An incomplete bed
• A damaged mattress base fabric
• Damage to our flooring
• A completely unacceptable attitude toward customer service
Swiss Sense is hiding behind “repair rights” to avoid compensating customers for significant inconvenience. Their solution is simply to make you wait months more for what you already paid for in full.
If you’re thinking of buying from Swiss Sense, beware — they are happy to take your money upfront, make false promises on delivery times, deliver incomplete and unusable products, and then expect you to live with it for months without offering even basic compensation.
This is not the service or product quality one should expect from a so-called premium brand.
This is what we got for our money:
• An unusable bed that’s wrecking our flooring
• A damaged mattress base
• Lies about delivery times
• Zero accountability
• Customer service that basically says, “deal with it”
Swiss Sense is not a premium brand — it’s a premium scam. They take your money upfront, give you whatever they feel like delivering, and then make you wait months more to get what you already paid for.

Horrible experience... And it's not finished yet.
All this happened in the store of Leiderdorp.
We wanted to buy 2 single mattresses. My wife was very clear that she did not want memory foam in one of them. The sales representative recommended us one that she claimed did not. One of the most expensive. However, after the first bad night sleep, my wife checked the website and to our surprise, it had memory foam...
We went a few days after to the store to tell them my wife could not sleep, to which they replied it was too soon. That she should keep trying for 30 days. And that in any case they did not accept returns, only change to another one. I told them it was a bit unfair since we would have never bought that mattress if we knew it had memory foam (by the way, the sales representative learned there live with me present that the mattress indeed had memory foam from her colleagues. Amazing training they receive....).
Since we didn't want to cause many troubles, and after a month of unsuccessful trial, we started looking for another alternative for her in the store. This took several weeks of going back and forth to the store, since they told us we could only do one change, so quite a lot of pressure.
In the meantime, this was causing us a lot of stress, especially to my wife, who's pregnant and has not been able to sleep properly since then.
About the mattress change, they told us that if we selected a cheaper mattress, they would give the difference back. They said that if the difference is small (around the price of a pillow) they might give a gift card. However, if the difference is large they would give the money back.
Finally we found one possible good alternative, which was quite cheaper than the first one. My wife went to the store to clear all the questions regarding the change. But they told her they were busy and that they would send all the info regarding the exchange by email.
We indeed received an email later stating the change and giving a gift card of more than 1000 euros.
At this time, we got extremely annoyed with them. As we felt we've been consistently lied to and mistreated. I emailed them on July 23 telling them we simply do not accept the voucher. As a minimum we only accept the difference money as refund. And we also believe they should have some compensation to us after the horrible nightmare we're going through with them.
To this day (July 27) we still have not received any reply.
I cannot tell you how much I recommend you to keep away from this store. Wrong advice, lies, no care for customer satisfaction and no compassion for the sleepless nights of my wife, which are so crucial for a healthy pregnancy.
But I assure you this is not yet finished....
