Well well , I would never have thought that hiring a car could be so easy and such a nice experience ! From the booking on ( booking.com) to the collection , form filling , the car itself and the return - everything was first class! People are only too quick to complain these days , but this was the exact opposite and deserves a mention ! Special shout to the lovely Aussie guy on front desk, the nice Dutch and Ukranian dudes, Irish Paul and the lovely local lady on front desk when we brought the car back ... Top marks u folks! Rude and thuggish
Firstly I’d say my experience at getting the car initially was very good. Very quick and no hassle.
However, when it came to the collection of the vehicle, the persons responsible for collecting the vehicle on the day sent me a text at 16:30 to say they’re on their way to collect the vehicle, as I didn’t see this text they rang me at 17:05 to tell me they’re at my address to collect the vehicle, I tell them I’m not there and won’t be back until 18:30. At which point they tell me I’m no longer insured on this rental vehicle as it’s gone past 17:00 and shouldn’t be driving it (Not sure if this was a lie or truth)
They then ask me to drive over asap, I reminded him he just told me I was no longer insured on the vehicle so I would not be driving it and they should collect from where I was. This was not an option for him. Of course he said he would “extend my insurance until 18:30 exactly” and I would need to get it back at my address by this time and they would collect the following day. Ok fair enough. And that’s what I’ve done, I’ve got the car back to my address for 18:30 ready for collection tomorrow. On my arrival home, my Mother is shaking and scared because she had someone at the door telling her I’m no longer insured on the car and shouldnt be driving it, they were also taking pictures of my address which was not pleasant for my mother either.
My issues are:
1, 30 mins notice of collection? Ridiculous!
2, Calling me and acting like they’re debt collectors who sound as though they’re going to break my legs if I don’t bring the car within 15 mins as they won’t wait
3, Telling me I’m no longer insured and asking me to drive the vehicle?
4, Showing up at my address and scaring the life out of my elderly mother who has a heart condition and 80% deaf, the first thing she saw was some bloke taking pictures of the property and then telling her I’m not insured to drive the vehicle
Calling me 24hrs before and giving me notice should be standard. This would be professional and allow me to refuel the car and clean it etc.
They’re coming to collect the vehicle tomorrow, hopefully I’ll would have left for work by time they collect because they’ll be getting a few words from me on this. This company need to get to grips with this.

if i could give them no stars i honestly would. overpriced, they have no clue how a phone works, it took me to go down there 2 times for them to come collect the car. on top of this they hired out a plug in hybrid to me and did not give me a cable to charge it, after waiting for 45 minutes to get through to someone, i decided i was gonna go there instead and i spoke to a guy there, cant remember his name. i politely asked him for a charger and he stated "if its not in the car then you dont get it". very unprofesional would not reccomend this place to anyone. your money and time is better in other places.

Takes more than an hour to get the car
Took about 40 mins to check the paperwork, took us to our car to realise it was unacceptably dirty, then to wash it for another 15 mins. Haven’t had to wait for so long at other rentals.

Switch Excellent service very helpful staff
Switch Kings Lynn were really good. I rang before the rental and they kindly let me send all the documents to them in advance so we didn't have to search for these things when we arrived. Ian who helped us with our rental was brilliant, he helped us hugely with the addtional driver and also offered to assist in getting us to the station when we returned the vehicle. Excellent service.
