Would highly recommend switcheroo for anyone looking for their first home 🏡

When we first started, we didn't know where to begin. We tried ourselves, but everything was so stressful. Luckily we found the team at switcheroo. They took our application from start to finish and took all that stress away

We got in touch with switcheroo on 5th of May 2022 to get our first mortgage after 6 months of continuous employment. Our initial conversation with Graham was promising. He described they are in contact with many mortgage providers, avant money seemed to be the best at the moment, with ~ 6 weeks processing time, but best rates, so we agreed to apply by them. We uploaded the required documents in a week, then some were missing, added those. After three weeks Graham told us, to apply at PTSB, I asked why, the reason I was given is that avant raised rates, now PTSB is the best, processing time around three weeks. In the meanwhile I realised, that Graham actually doesn't have our file. He was just managing other employees to do so, and those employees started asking the same questions about missing documents, and of course bank accounts have to be updated, because it took the switcheroo employees a few days the read our emails, and it took a few days to get updated documents. Eventually an other person from switcheroo told me they actually submitted the application to PTSB. Then we got some of the old questions and a new one (mother's maiden name) and answered these again. The weird thing is that any question they ask can be answered by lokking at our uploaded documents. So I don't know what they do with the documents, because obviously they are not reading them. Today is 17th of August we still don't know if we will get a mortgage or not, or if somebody is just making us wait, because interest rates were increased and will be increased more if we wait.

I would strongly recommend Switcheroo. From initial analysis and advice on what moving my mortgage would mean for me, and what all the options would be, to pushing me for exactly the right documents that were needed in order to get the application over the line - on time (an aggressive deadline in our case before rates increased), they were very responsive and great to work with.

The team behind Switcheroo know a lot about mortgages and they help out in finding the best deals for you. Especially useful with all the changes happening with the rates and providers in Ireland

Contacted Switcheroo, sent a simple email query that was unanswered, followed up, got brief response, asked when was a suitable time for a call, never called, tried again, same experience, gave up

Buying a property is an arduous process, as we all know, not least when you're trying to buy in the middle of a pandemic! I had tried different mortgage brokers before settling with Switcheroo, and I'm delighted I did. Without a doubt, their greatest strength is communication. Their staff were always readily available by phone and email to answer any questions I had - of which there were many - and kept me abreast of developments with my application at all times. Their process management is effective, streamlined and modern. Their website provided a staged breakdown of my application and easy to follow guidance. The convenience of uploading documentation to their site from my phone was a gift. They were also equally happy to accept documents by email. I had a somewhat protracted experience buying my property but I am under no illusion that it would have been so much worse were it not for Switcheroo. I now fully understand why people say they'll only move once but, with Switcheroo at my back, I may go for round 2.

Recently switched mortgage provider after years of putting it off, as I expected the process to be painful and annoying, however the Switcheroo lads (particularly Dylan) were excellent and made the switch incredibly easy and stress-free. Excellent communication throughout (always very quick to respond to queries, kep us updated at every oppourtunity) also a handy portal for submitting documents etc, got a much better rate too - couldnt recommend them highly enough , thanks a million guys, 10/10!
