Dodgy set up and totally unreliable

Filled out an on line form for this lot to call me, but got a call from "Bionic"! I explained that we are a small business and, as our water contract with Everflow was about to expire, we were looking for a better alternative. The caller THEN said that he actually worked for Everflow, but in a broking capacity. Confused? Was i talking to Switchpal, Bionic or Everflow? Whateveer, I was offered a quote which was cheaper than the price I had obtained direct from Everflow, but given all the confusion as to who I was actually dealing with, I asked for confirmation of this in an e-mail.
The e-mail never materialised and, although I have 'phoned four times to chase this up, I have still heard no more.

Hi Val,

I’m really sorry to hear about your experience and the confusion it caused.

To clarify, SwitchPal partners with specialist brokers such as Bionic to help small businesses compare and switch essential services like water, energy and telecoms. This means you may receive a call directly from one of our partners, which should always be explained clearly at the outset.

Bionic look at suppliers in the market to get the best price, which is why they said they work with Everflow in a broking capacity.

It’s great you were quoted a cheaper price, but very concerning that you never received the follow-up email you requested despite chasing. That isn’t the level of service we expect from our partners, and we’d like to investigate this further so it doesn’t happen again.

If you’re still open to it, please email us at hello@switchpal.com with your business name and contact details so we can look into this and make sure you get the information you originally asked for.

We take feedback like this seriously, and we’ll be following up with Bionic directly to ensure future customers get clearer communication and the timely follow-up they deserve.

Thank you for raising this with us.

Misleading spam email.

Misleading spam email.
There is, i believe, a reputable company named SwitchPal, but it is not this company whose domain name ends in .co.uk and not the legit one that ends in .com the domain name is registered with a certain company that a lot of these scam sites are registered with. AVOID

Spammers

I've received spam from them titled "Save on your business energy bills".
I am not a business. This kind of marketing email sent to non business addresses in the UK is illegal.

They appear to be using Go Data for their email marketing, a company that is well known for not being able to tell the difference between legitimate business domains and those that aren't businesses.

Any company that wants to avoid getting into legal trouble for spamming should avoid Go Data (read their reviews for more on this...)

Don't touch these people

Don't touch these people. For me I got them by accident instead of USwitch (who are reputable). Within hours of contacting them for something they couldn't help with I found my contact details had been shared with loads of cold callers trying to sell me stuff that was of no interest or even possible for me in a grade II listed house. AVOID.

Final follow up to my initial review re Click-Bait

Hi,

Re Trustpilot’s message concerning my initial review.

I've re-traced my steps and can confirm as folllows :-

Switchpal’s website does cater for domestic enquiries and this site re-directed me to Switchd. Switchpal were therefore instrumental in me going to the Switchd website.

It was then Switchd who offered me a deal with the now defunct Flow Energy

As per my review, I did not proceed with a transaction with Switchd.

So in summary - I used your website as a basis for seeking out potential energy savings for a domestic residence in the marketplace.
After inputting all data requested by Switchd they advised my bills could be halved by switching to Flow Energy. I Googled this proposed supplier and found out they went out of business in 2019 and their customers were absorbed by Octopus Energy.
So why are they advertising non-existent savings if you decide to join them and why are you directing customers to them?

Their terms note that despite the massive savings offered they advise they won't guarantee getting the savings actually advised, but will get you the best deal they can in the current market.

In this period of market volatility I am sure you appreciate that this is likely to be next to nothing - but Switchd will no doubt charge clients a fee for their 'Service'!
I'm putting the whole experience down to being a lucky escape and suggest you review the marketing tactics of the companies you link with.

Follow up comments - As noted you need to review the companies you refer people to for domestic enquiries as some are offering misleading savings, all as noted in my review.

I'm very sorry to hear about your poor experience whilst using our service.

If you could please supply a phone number or email address that was used when submitting your details, we can investigate the matter further on our side.

SwitchPal is a business to business service, and Flow Energy was a domestic energy company (i.e. not supplying businesses with energy, but homes). We are confused as to why you were offered a domestic energy contract, when we only offer contracts to businesses.

Also you mentioned in your review the use of an online chat bot - however this is not a feature we have on our site.

Is it a possibility that you were using a different website/service but got the name mixed up with ours?
