Symbiotic Active Sitting Chair Reviews 

I bought this chair to replace my much used and abused spinalis. I am surprised to say it out performs my old spinalis chair, which I loved. It moves very smoothly on it's castors, it has the option of excellent lumbar support and the build quality is very impressive.

As an osteopath I recommend that my clients try to stay active as much as possible. However, I am aware that many clients have no choice but to sit for long periods at their computer. This chair is great as the instability in the seat causes the core muscles to engage yet is comfortable enough to sit on for a long time. Highly recommended.

Strong well made components, easily assembled. High quality. My sciatic problems stemmed from lengthy immobility in a rigid chair. This chair effectively counters immobility, and seems to have eliminated my pain.

As an Alexander Technique practitioner, I only recommend this kind of chair. It must be supportive, but it must not fix you into one position. We are not designed to stay still for hours, so the chair should encourage movement. The Symbiotic Active Chair ticks all the boxes. At this price, I think it’s probably the best chair you can get.

I wanted a more supportive office chair and so I bought a Symbiotic Active Chair. It came in pieces but was really easy to assemble with good instructions. It is also VERY SOLID and should last a very long time. I am delighted with it and find it really comfortable. I expect it to ease my shoulder problems.

Matija was excellent to talk to and was very reassuring with the product, how to set it up and how best to position yourself in front of the monitor. He went above and beyond with helpfulness - it was a real pleasure to have this level of service for a change. When we move office, we will have confidence that this product will definitively be something we will consider having more of, knowing that we will be looked after very well with no obligation to buy. We were sent this chair to try with the view to sending back if we were not happy with it. We only paid the postage of £28 for this privilege. There was no pressure to buy and we were left in peace to try it for as many days as we needed. We have since decided to keep it.

I love this chair! It has significantly improved my working from home experience. I had spent months on a straight backed kitchen chair and my lower back was constantly stiff and painful. I have no pain at all now, even when I sit for a couple of hours straight.

The chair is super comfortable, if forces me to engage my core and keep my back straight. It doesn't take long to get used to it, within 10 minutes I was all set. Highly recommended.

I have been absolutely delighted with my new chair. It was straight forward to assemble and it did not take long to get used to it. It looks neat and very smart and is so comfortable as it moves with me. I can feel a difference since I have been using it as I do not feel so stiff and achey. It was also beneficial to discuss the options and benefits with the knowledgeable expert in the first instance! This is the Best chair I have had for my lower back, hip and neck issues in the last 30 years.

As an Osteopath, I understand the importance of a good work station set up and the detrimental physiological effects of sitting still for too long, and this is something I speak to patients about daily.

I've been an active-sitting-chair convert for a few years now and I'm very impressed with the Symbiotic, which is my 4th active sitting chair.

It looks great, has very good padding (much better than my more expensive Spinalis), is very comfortable to sit on for extended periods of time and I love that everything is adjustable; even the degree of movement of the seat. The high-quality materials and expensive look make it the kind of chair that would look right at home in a CEO's office as well as a home office, and people are already commenting on it just a few weeks in.

The Symbiotic chair moves with me and allows me to move while I'm sitting, preventing a lot of aches & pains that would then become distracting and detrimental to my concentration.

I was dreading the self-assembly of the chair because that's not something I enjoy nor have a talent for, but I have to say that it was quick & easy, the instructions were clear, everything fitted together very painlessly and it was very easy to adjust.

I always think that if you spend more time at your desks than you do in bed, investing in a good chair is as important as investing in a good mattress. The good news is that the Symbiotic was a lot more affordable than a good mattress and will probably last me longer too, so it's a no-brainer for me!

Having suffered from a couple of car accidents in the late 80's I was left with ongoing sciatica down my left leg for 31 years, I found that I could sit for a while in most chairs but after about an hour the pain would increase and I would have to get up and move around or go on my re-bounder (which takes up a lot of space and time!). As my work is very stationary (at a computer for up to 12 hours a day) this was creating quite a lot of extra stress in my day. I have invested in many different chairs over the years, some allowed sitting for 2-3 hours some less than an hour without exacerbation of the symptoms. I got the symbiotic active chair 3 days ago and it has been amazing, my core muscles are working better, I can already sit for 2-3 hours with no stiffness upon rising, I feel happier (no doubt because I am not in so much discomfort). I can't recommend the company enough and chair enough.

Very impressed with this chair. The quality of the materials used is high, the adjusting knurl knobs are weighty and the entire chair feels solid.
Sitting in the chair encourages an upright posture and your back feels extremely well supported. I thought not having armrests would be an issue, but your arms naturally sit on the desk surface and works well.
Adjusting the base and back of the chair for the user is very important. Once you feel comfortable, it really does keep you upright for a long duration and you do not feel like slouching.
So it's not a sofa, but a proper office chair that will encourage correct posture for long meetings! Highly recommended.

I've spent the last 7 weeks working from home (like so many others), and at the start my workstation was not comfortable or effective. Sitting for up to 10 hours a day on a kitchen chair, hunched over a laptop was hurting my back and neck, and affecting my posture. Symbiotic has completely changed my WFH setup: the chair moves with me, and keeps me in an active sitting pose, so I always feel supported. The seat and backrest are also incredibly comfortable. All in all, it's a great product that has had a positive impact on my WFH experience.

The chair is good value in comparison to other brands such as Spinalis.
