Money is more than costumor care

I had two shops running with them. One was on pause, and the other had an active subscription. Unfortunately, I accidentally upgraded the subscription on the paused shop instead of downgrading the active one.

Would they refund me? No, it was my own fault, and that was just too bad.

I wrote to them saying I was done with them if they did not refund but no response.

Not Recommended - Poor Customer Care

I had a very disappointing experience with Syncee regarding additional charges. I paid for my monthly subscription at the end of January, which isn’t cheap. Shortly after, at the beginning of February, I closed my Shopify store—only to find that I had been charged again for the full amount.

When I contacted Shopify, they directed me to Syncee for support. However, Syncee’s response was incredibly unhelpful. They simply stated, “Our subscription plans don’t automatically cancel when you close your store. Here’s what you need to know: You can cancel your subscription at any time, but we don’t refund or prorate unused parts of a subscription.” No effort was made to review my case, offer a goodwill refund, or even show basic customer care.

This policy feels unfair, especially when closing a store should logically mean cancelling all associated subscriptions. The lack of transparency and poor customer service has left a really bad impression and I won't be using them again.

Regarding questions about canceling your subscription, please feel free to reach out to our support team and we will provide you information on how you can proceed with that. Unfortunately, as a Shopify app, that is how cancellation goes on Shopify based on how the platform handles subscriptions. When a store closes, unfortunately the application does not have access anymore to it so the cancellation could happen. Cancellation can be done when uninstalling the app or cancelling the subcription.
