Waste of time and money and some of the submission deadlines are short

I have now deleted my account with syncr because one year ago, I've submitted my music for a fitness brand and the brief was ongoing, there was no one from the company got back to me about that ever since it was saying "currently under review" so I don't know if that brief was legit or not. There was another time, I've submitted my music for a mobile brand and it was unsuccessful because there was no trumpets which I did include on my track, so I don't know if they were using some automated tool to respond to my submission and I was feeling a little bit frustrated and that they could've said more to the reason why my submission has been unsuccessful. They could've gave me tips on how to improve.

Some of the deadlines of brief are very short for example, I had an email on the 19th December last year when they wanted music for Pop and EDM TV adverts, it had to be submitted by the 21st and because I have other work commitments, I wouldn't able to squeeze that short amount of time to complete my full track and master it and so on.

I am disappointed with the experience.

They took payment even after I cancelled

I've cancelled my account but they've continued to charge me. They ignored all communications and I had to get my bank to block the payment. They've now ignored 4 emails from me and KEPT trying to take the payment, 4 times. I keep getting emails saying 'payment was unsuccessful again'.

I was shortlisted a few times, but never got a sync. I believe it could work to get syncs but not allowing someone to cancel and not checking the email address which is supposed to be who you contact with 'questions' is unacceptable.

waste of time, avoid

I've had tracks under review for over a year now, and I don't believe for one minute that they actually secure any sync deals; they just keep you holding on to keep you subscribed for longer. Communication is also shocking.

Syncr is either one big scam, or the people running it are completely inept.

I'm not one for leaving bad reviews online - and would prefer to deal with companies directly to resolve any issues - but regrettably I'm going to have to do so in this instance.

Although my 'subscription' is listed as Syncr Basic (i.e. Free), Syncr have been taking £4.99 out of my account every month since December 2024 (eight months currently). I'm not sure what this is in relation to, as their paid subscriptions start at £5.99 per month. There is no option for me to cancel any payments to them in my account, as I'm not a subscriber on any of their paid tiers.

I've been attempting to contact the company via various channels (Email, Facebook, Instagram) for over three months, with no response, other than automated replies and a sole message back via Instagram asking me to email the company, which I'd already done on numerous occasions and have done again since.

This is such a poor level of customer service, and I notice others are saying the same thing and having the same issues, which unfortunately means that my experience isn't an isolated incident.

I can only come to the same conclusion that Syncr is either one big scam or the people running it are completely inept, and it feels generous to even award them one star at this point.

They've been charging my card since…

They've been charging my card since early last year and won't stop. I haven't had a paid membership in months. They barely respond to emails, and almost seem like they're trolling at this point. They pretend that they're going to look into it. At this point, I'm starting to think the entire site is one big scam.

Avoid Syncrmusic.com

Syncr sends me emails including acknowledging my submissions but I cannot log on to their site. I was getting access denied and even couldn’t visit the website directly on a browser without getting this message.
/home/admin/web/ syncrmusic.com/
public_html/
Illuminate\Database\

SQLSTATE[HY000] [1698]

They claim:
We moved servers in December, the process took quite some time and it seems you signed up in this time during migration so although it was successful at the time, the information has got lost in the migration which is why it’s now saying you’re not registered.

Even from our side, you are not a user. I’ll send you a screenshot as proof of this. Obviously this is very inconvenient so apologies for that, but that’s all that’s happened.

The emails they said are coming separately from Mailchimp and are not connected to their website when questioning if I don’t exist then why do I get emails.

Has anyone else had this problem with Syncr? It seems strange that no email was sent or no announcement made to this list of account users that were affected. Even if they had no list of lost users as they claim, though still sending emails, no announcement was made about this or can be found on a serious issue they claim they are aware of. Their emails are also virtually unreadable due to bad design - use of colours which they are putting the blame on gmail. Avoid Syncrmusic.com! Pure frustration!

Syncr - Waste of Money

At first, this seems like a good little opportunity for unsigned/unpublished artists to get their music out there and placed in syncs - it's not.

I believe that, whilst they might have had a couple syncs placed before, it'll be very rare (feel free to prove me wrong). From my experience, they take months to listen to your songs for a sync placement unless it's 'urgent'. When they do listen and 'shortlist' you, they won't update you in order to keep you paying for the service so you don't lose the opportunity - I've had this happen multiple times not just a one off. You can ask for updates but they won't respond.

It's basically preying on unsigned artists to part with their hard earned money in the hopes of getting their music heard, which I don't think is fair. If you're taking a cut of the sync, don't charge a fee to begin with.

To any unsigned artists, don't waste your money!

Very poor

Had issues with Syncr taking £4.99 per month from my credit card despite cancelling my pro account. Had to close my account entirely to stop it happening.

I also back up the other review that has been left — your music doesn’t get listened to in a timely manner which isn’t great when you’re paying for a service. There are also not enough new briefs to warrant paying £4.99 per month, and most of them (even the pro ones) are playlist submissions which you can find for free if you look hard enough.

I waited more than 5 months for some…

I waited more than 5 months for some tracks to be reviewed and then suddenly 11 of my tracks that I'd sent to 4-5 different briefs, pro and free, were are rejected within the space of a minute. I think it's just some guy who's not affiliated with any of the briefs hasty listening to about 5 seconds of music and then clicking the reject button. Which is pretty poor if you're paying for pro. Also, my messages sent via their contact form were ignored. I had to go on twitter to find another email address. I was offered a refund but I still have not received it. It's been more than a month now. I was given the email address of the person who is supposedly processing my refund but she has not replied back to any of my emails. From my experience I have come to the conclusion that it's quite possible that this is a scam or they're just immensely unprofessional.
