SR were one of the easiest investors on our cap table to talk to. Took less than an hour to secure our investment and they've been nothing but helpful. Couldn't recommend enough.

Chill and relaxed investors
SR were one of the easiest investors on our cap table to talk to. Took less than an hour to secure our investment and they've been nothing but helpful. Couldn't recommend enough.
Syndicate Room have been great to work…
Syndicate Room have been great to work with. They were very clear on process and timelines from the outset. Tom has been a pleasure to deal with and all comms has been clear and timely.
Easy to work with, simple process, nice people
I was introduced to SR by the founder of another brand, who described them as a low-management, founder-friendly investor.
It was easy to secure an intro call with the team. Anthony quickly confirmed that my business met their criteria and was clear that, provided this remained the case, they would invest.
After sharing the required materials, the investment followed without lengthy or burdensome due diligence — just a straightforward, well-run process.
I’d happily recommend them to other founders.
Not a great investment formula and poor performance
I would agree with the other one star reviewers re the EIS funds. I don't think this format works well. Investments are spread thinly across a wide range of startups, which in theory reduces risk. However any returns arrive when companies sell. So each return is small and returns are spread out over long periods with a lot of the return being swallowed up by fees. In my funds, since 2017, there have been 86 small investments. 28 have failed, as we might expect for startups, but only 3 have valuations above 3X the investment, which may improve with time, but looks to be falling a long way short of expectation for startups. Also the fund is complex to manage for the investor. If you want to claim EIS loss relief, each of the failures need to be tracked each tax. Overall not a great option for EIS investments.
Super efficient!
Supportive, experienced team
The team was really supportive, but hands off as appropriate, and kept everything simple throughout. Things moved swiftly when it needed to, and the whole thing was straightforward.
Great DD and fast answers
Great DD and fast answers. Very clear structure and transparent way of investing. I would definitely recommend them.
Year 7 update
It's now been 7 years since I invested with Syndicate Room. Unfortunately, since my last review a year ago, the situation has continued to deteriorate. My overall portfolio is now down -21%. There have still been no exits, no returns, and no positive developments. Each year, I simply pass another failed company to my accountant to claim what little tax relief I can.
What was meant to be a long-term growth investment has so far delivered only ongoing losses and the added burden of managing failed investments. Sadly, this experience has been disappointing, and I cannot recommend Syndicate Room based on my results.
First class experience from first contact to securing investment
From my first contact with Syndicate Room they were extremely clear in their criteria for investment. Once we qualified the process was extremely slick and no overly heavy due diligence.
The communication was always extremely helpful prior to qualifying and first class once we did qualify.
It was also a very quick process.

Syndicate Room made our seed funding…
Syndicate Room made our seed funding process a breeze. Their efficient approach and swift decision to invest in iCustoms.ai were incredibly positive. We're already seeing them as a valuable partner, and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to other startups seeking investment.
