Jaguar I Pace
I put my Jaguar I Pace in the Hillington, Glasgow branch on 23rd February this year, over 12 weeks ago, for battery cell replacements. I was told after several weeks that my car couldn't be repaired and I would receive a phone call from Jaguar Customer Services. Never received any communication and after 12 weeks I received another phone call to say my car was ready. Quite bizarre. However, I still have 2 and a half years warranty left on the battery so I decided just to collect it. Arrived at the dealership only to find a long freshly made scratch along the side of the vehicle. I have submitted formal complaints.

Buying experience when entering Lookers Jaguar Land Rover showroom Hillington Glasgow 2023
Second to none. VIP treatment.
Agreed to purchase a beautiful Range Rover Evoque Autobiography 2017 edition. 60k on the clock.
Presented to me under a red cloth reveal. Keys in a lovely presentation box. Wonderful, so happy, so special.
I have never experienced the purchasing of a car like this before. And I’ve had several cars in my over 30 years of
driving. Two brand new cars and several second hand, all from dealers, as a precaution, if things go wrong.
Eighteen miles on from leaving the showroom with this wonderful car, it came to a standstill on the motorway.
OOPS. Recovery vehicle back to the showroom.
On hindsight this is where I should have walked away. But again VIP treatment. I was given courtesy use of a brand
new VELOR 73 miles on clock whilst they fixed the broken down EVOGUE.
A faulty DPF was the issue.
When repaired it was driven to my door and the VELOR was picked up. My home is 5 hours drive from Glasgow.
Awe what a great organisation this Land Rover firm are. Good British Brand.
In local garage September and November 2024 for new alternator, crank pulley, battery, coil springs, tires, brake
pads discs and new reverse camera (water ingress on existing one). 69k on the clock.
Went on holiday for several weeks beginning of this year (not with car) and when back home and driving, heard
knocking from the back. Then battery would not keep a charge and boot would not stay closed.
In local garage diagnosed needing new haldex unit and a leak from windscreen
On 15th April I contacted Hillington branch and was told the warranty would not cover local garage repairs.
It had to be repaired at a Land Rover specialist as they use “prestige” Land Rover parts
Nearest branch Inverness who refused it when I told them the issues.
Hillington couldn’t look at it until October at the earliest.
Pentland Stirling booked it in for 30th April.
On the back of a recovery van at my expense (£660) off to Pentland Stirling it went.
Repaired, serviced, MOTed and ready for collection 30th May.
Time delay in collection due to work commitments and distance (5 hours drive away) my daughter picked it up
August. Mouldy, cob webs, spiders, stinking and still leaking.
When I emailed them for explanation on the condition, I was emailed back, told windscreen had been repaired and
no leaks detected but it was a health hazard for them to clean it.
Last week I contacted them three times for the documented proof that the leak had been fixed.
On third call they conceded they could not find proof so I asked to speak with a manager.
No return calls or communications.
Cleaned it myself to pristine condition and yesterday I got rid of it for less than all the repairs cost dreading that this
leak was causing more damage. 72k on the clock.
Range Rover parts are more than 4 times the price of normal garage parts. Making any warranty a false prophet.
After numerous request I have yet to speak with management of either Stirling Land Rover or Lookers Jaguar Land
Rover Hillington Glasgow.
Do not be sucked in like I was. 12k miles driven and over £26k out of pocket and I don’t have a car.
Look at the reviews on Trustpilot. (I wish I had) Unfortunately this is not an isolated incident

Told the car was ready when it wasn’t. Return the car with a dangerous fault due to their workmanship and no quality check causing no assisted braking. No response to 3 complaint emails by Hillington service manager or Looker’s complaints. Final email I include LR customers complaints, and they don’t response either.

I recently purchased a Jaguar and have been extremely pleased with the customer service at Lookers Jaguar Galsgow.I am very satisfied with my Jaguar purchase and would highly recommend it to anyone in the market for a high-end luxury vehicle.
The worst company to deal with! Do not BUY and DO NOT Trust!
The worst company to deal with. I bought a range rover from them over 2 years ago (02/02/2022) and they promised me 2 keys and they still haven't sent me the 2nd key yet. I have spoken to their managers several times but no one seems to care as they have sold the car they don't care anymore. Do NOT buy from them! Or atleast do NOT trust what they say or promise.

Service would not answer the phone…
Service would not answer the phone spoke with 2 employees ones being the sale rep that sold me my car and still no return call, my partner had to go onsite for anything to be done about it. This has made me consider selling the car

POOR POOR SERVICE
I wouldn't trust these guys with my car. If they can't do the basics like pick up the phone, return a call or respond to an email what are the chances of them doing a good job with your car.
It's a real shame as they used to provide an excellent service pre covid but they just dont seem to care anymore.

Very sneaky untrusting don’t hold to there word miss sell you a car and expect you to pay mileage on your miss sold car at 45 p per mile
Unless your a footballer or a drug dealer there simply not interest in your situation at all costs
Rejected my car with major faults only now 11 months on is this being taken on board with many hundreds ignored emails
Mark Sleith and Ian Maccalman only want your sale and don’t take any ownership after that event pass you about feed lies to delay you the loose less money on a situation they should see the customer was miss sold a car and put that and there family’s safety at there up most respect of the situation
I have a time line plus hundreds of calls emails ignored and in particular mark blames his sick mother for 2 months to avoid dealing with my situation that’s low when we’re left driving a car that he now wants 45 p per mile for and it was unsafe and the fact every Monday I asked for him to put me in a safe car for my family until he sorted the situation and he just Ignored it
The sales man Ian has even blocked my email than deal with the situation
Not to mention Jak she’s a absolute liability to work for a company with this name tag don’t expect a response after sale has been completed

Ongoing sound from fan / back door opens from insides and sets off the alarm system then won’t open from outside which is a major safety issue along side the Revs sticking in gear without any acceleration from driver.
I’ll not 750 pounds gesture of good will with no added miles the amount of garage trips and then to be asked to pay 45 p per mile so a total loss of £6507.50
For what a car is will nothing but endless hassle and waste of space customer service
The only point that needs to be said the girl on reception at Hillington should get management as she does the best job in the building her communication her attitude her ability to call you back far exceeds any other person within Hillington lookers Land Rovers
Appalling never use them
Lookers poor service.
I booked my Jaguar XF into Lookers for a diagnostic report because both my headlamps were not working on dip or main beam. After the diagnosis investigation, I was told that both headlamps had failed and would have to be replaced at a cost of almost £2800.
I was not convinced. I took the car to another garage who found that there was nothing wrong with the headlamps themselves. The problem was with the small ballast units under the headlamps.
These have been replaced and the headlamps are now working perfectly well. Repair bill vastly smaller than the quote from Lookers. Why could Lookers not find the smaller problem? I don't know but I will not be going back to Lookers. They have lost a regular customer.
Exemplary public relations in Jaguar Glasgow
The transaction of the annual service and MOT went very well under the stewardship of Lynn Abernethy. She knows the system inside-out, and can answer any question fully and comprehensively. Her understanding of the concept of "Customer Service" is exemplary, and we would consider remaining with Jaguar for our next car because we trust and respect Lynn's judgment.
Poor Service Department
Its that time of year again when my Jaguar F Pace is due its MOT and Service and I will definitely not be using Jaguar Hillington.
This is due to various reasons the first being 3 years ago when I put my car in for a MOT and service the car came out with a section of the engine not secure which I eventually had to get sorted myself, when I complained the management agreed that I could have my next MOT and Service FOC.
MOT arrived and they in 2021 and the advised my brakes needed attention and that the pads sat at 6mm, I decided to get someone else to have a look and they said the pads were ok so I left them as I know if they do get to a certain level the Jaguar warning system will let me know , then the next year I decided to pay for the MOT and use my free service voucher , this time they mentioned the brakes again saying they need attention as they were at 7mm which meant instead of wearing down while I was driving they had grown by 1mm in a year which we all know is impossible.
To make matters worse they said I needed a track rod end replaced and charged me £347.90 which was probably their way of claiming back at me due to me receiving my free service from them, I grudgingly paid this and decided there and then that I would not use or recommend this garage for anymore service or MOT requirements as I have lost faith in the whole service team.
Regarding the track rod end replacement I had someone check over my car as a favour before putting the car in for its MOT and they said it should pass easily as the car was in great condition, they were surprised it needed replaced and thought I was mad to pay Jaguar for this repair.
I have just had my car MOT'd and serviced today from a reputable garage, they commented that my car was in great condition and that there was nothing wrong with my brakes or pads which just goes to show you that Jaguar have been saying for the last 3 years that my brakes needed urgent attention and replaced, I have drove over 25000 miles on the brakes that Jaguar said needed replaced, just shows you that Jaguar are trying to fleece their customers by selling up and recommending works that don't really need to be carried out, they are looking at revenue and profit over customer satisfaction.
Its a shame because I like my Jaguar F Pace, its the after service and service department that let Jaguar down.

So, having bought my car in Sept for the new plate im suprised that having messed me about with regard the in control system the licence has run out in march when it should run out in Sept.
It should have been renewed by Taggarts when the system was updated /fixed it seems they didnt do that and so on a car where it should be renewed on the aniversary of buying it (Sept) it renewed in March, 6 months early ...is there any contact with this place that goes to plan or well....so far i cant think of any.
