I have three Tailit Pet. The units work if there is good mobile coverage. They don't seem to have super-good reception and lose the net frequently - making them a bit unreliable. Rebooting them at least once every day seems to help a bit. They also consume power quite fast. They need to be recharged every 2-3 days, much more often than specified. So quite often our cats are running around with no working tracker because they are either out of battery or unable to communicate with the cellular net.
When they work the updates are very slow. It usually takes well over a minute to gat a GPS-position. So you can't track in "real-time". But we do find our cats. I'd say it's good enough but could have been a lot better. I'll give it a 3.
Support and customer service is excellent in my opinion - always very helpful.

Absolutely the worst service ever.
I ordered a tag on the 12th of April and still don’t have it. The excuse is Covid, but the response and customer service is terrible. They don’t bother to update you unless you chase them and even then I have had to go back numerous times.
Last update was that the item would be sent 6 June. Now it’s moved to 12 June
I hope they read this and get their act into gear because this is a REALLY bad start!!
We are really happy with the Dog tracker and have already used to find our dog several times over the last two month, and recommend it to every one we know

Originally ordered the tracker and the payment was pending in the credit card account, I had to contact them to find out where our tracker was and was told it was unavailable. The pending payment was not taken.
April 28th the payment for the tracker was taken from the account with no correspondence regarding delivery of the tracker. Spoke to customer service over email who told me they were out of stock and I advised that payment should not of been taken in the first place then. The customer service agent was extremely rude to me and I am still waiting for a managers email so I can escalate this.

Criminals! Do not buy from tail it. I paid my money but they couldn’t deliver the product, they repeatedly lied about refunding me. I had to get PayPal involved to get a refund but they have since somehow accessed my account and taken the money again. They now refuse to speak to me. These are some dodgy cowboys.

Absolutely horrible service and a total scam. Advertised as "Global" but once received and paid was told that my country was not eligible, despite shipping to my country. Requested a refund but told that I must pay to return the item before my subscription could be refunded. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS SCAM OF A COMPANY.
The Tracker didn't work Right - it constantly said "no Info". Customer Service was not helpful either and when I said, I'll return it, if Things don't get resolved, I got: Do what you want to do! Wow!!!

This is not 'the worlds smallest pet tracker'! Our cat is 8 years old about medium height and build. 1. this tracker is too big and sticks out from collar. 2. because of the size it would be very easy for a cat to catch it when scrambling through fences and bushes and possibly be strangled, even with a fast release collar. I'm sure it is fine for dogs but not cats.

WARNING! Do not buy pet trackers from this company through their website. I bought two pet trackers in the beginning of December directly online from Tailit Technologies' website. Paid at once by credit card and received order confirmation, and then... nothing. No information, no shipping/tracking number, although I had specified on my order that it was for a Christmas present. When I called them on 20 December to hear where the items are, the reply was "We have not shipped any items in December, as we have a problem with our supplier". All it would have taken was an e-mail to say that the items could not be delivered in time, and then give the customer a chance to go elsewhere to buy a similar product. But for Tailit just to do nothing and then not deliver. Shockingly bad - or rather - non-existing customer care!!!
When you buy a product to track valuable things, then you expect them to work. The entire tracking system has been down since Friday morning with the message that it will be up in a matter of a few hours... it isn’t !
I read in some of the comments below that they claim to have 24/7 support.. well the telephone number only works Monday to Friday in business hours, and the support bot only tells you that the team only works within the same hours and there is nothing the support bot can do to help... so on the whole completely useless.
When a company that you pay to ensure that your valuables are secure and they have a complete system failure on a weekday morning, then it would I assume be everyone's expectations that they work overtime until the problem is solved... not them, they just assume that they can have the weekend off whilst you continue to pay for a service you don’t get ! By the way, the service message about a complete systemic failure is in such small writing at the bottom of the service page, I guess they are hoping that no-one will notice. As a new user - I am definitely NOT impressed.
I am sure they will come back with loads of plausible excuses on Monday, but I actually needed my tracker working TODAY ! And by the way, the service bot did not help whatsoever other than to tell me that the team doesn’t do anything at the weekend even though they are aware that the entire system is down before they gave up and went home for the weekend.
Best tracking device on the market, without a doubt!
I purchased a Tail it Pet along with 2 years of cell phone coverage. It has never worked. I have installed and deleted the app to my phone three times. I have used two other SIM cards in the device. The initial 'Owners Manual' was very poor. Customer Support is very poor. They finally sent me a PDF owners manual. I have tried everything to get the device to work and it still does not work. Customer Support does not always reply to your email. I am sorry I wasted my money on this device.

Exceptionally poor product, didn't do what it said from delivery. Wild GPS locations (when it works), poor support as they didn't reply answering all questions and upon loss off the animal with no GPS location in open view, told to spend more for a replacement after waiting 3 days for them to reply and another reminder sent. The battery went dead within the 3 days I was desperate for their help in retrieving it. They refused refund. AVOID at all costs, this product does not do what it says it will do with any level of accuracy, nor do you get a track as to where the animal has been nor do you get notification of whether the light and sound have been turned on. This also doesn't work every time you turn it on in the app. This is a fair review even after the owner saying it isn't. £100 better spent elsewhere.

This is not a good product. I bought two, which I deeply regret. None of them worked as expected.
Every position update takes 3-5 minutes and many times it doesn't find it at all. Very frustrating.
The cat could be right beside me in an open yard and it still would take 3-5 minutes to update.
When it finally updated it was not accurate at all. Like 50 meters away, when the cat was next to me.
They did offer a replace of the units. Bbut as far as I can see, I really don't think that would work, since none of the two I recieved was working correctly.
They did have a few suggestion to try and I tried them all. Still no good. Their final suggestion was to keep trying. Well, I have and still the same.
Also, the shipping time was 1 month and not three days. I also had to remind the, twice.
I also regret that I paid for a whole year in advance for the service for one of the units. Don't do that before you try it! Choose a month instead!
Too bad though, the size wasn't too big for my cat and it wasn't heavy.
I'm going for radio frequency units instead. Smaller and more accurate and no service fees. Not the same range, but my cats tend to stay not to far away. And you can walk around with it to cover a larger area. Also, better battery time.
I bought the Tail It pet. Terrible design. It was heavy around my cat's collar. I paid for a year's subscription and the thing never works. I contacted customer support and was told to restart it. So I have to do this every day? Terrible product, unreliable, inconsistent, and bulky.

Bit of an odd one this. I brought the pet tracker and had problems with the battery charging from the off, spoke to the support guys and this was rectified...all good, or so I thought. The tracking on the device seemed very erratic showing in one location then moving about to other locations sometimes over a mile away when my cat was in sight at the end of the garden!!
Then unfortunately, the cats collar came off thus losing the tracker, ok I get this is not tailit's fault, however if I got a good enough location I could use the sound setting and locate the device....apart from no matter how many times I tried to activate the sounds nothing happened even though the app was telling me I was VERY close to it.
I spoke to support and they seemed not to really care. I know it's not their problem that the device was lost, but I should have been able to activate the sound thus find the tracker, that’s the whole point if it right??
All in all I feel very let down after spending nearly $100 on a device that lasted less than a week then to have the support guys say 'it's not my problem!!'
I do believe this device was faulty due to the sounder not working even though I was standing less than a couple of feet away from it according to the app!!
Not impressed!!
