Bought the Escape room kit Island Edition from a retailer, the instruction manual says to scan the QR code to get started, but it's just a video and gives you online products to buy. Can't actually play the game that I bought from the retailer! Waste of money. I will not be buying from them ever again, and I've also told the retailer that it doesn't work.

To clarify, the QR code included in the Escape Room: Island Edition is meant to take you to a video that forms part of the gameplay and sets the scene for the game. It does not require you to purchase anything else to play the game.
That said, if the QR code you received is not linking to the correct content, then something has gone wrong and we absolutely want to fix that.
Please contact us at info@talkingtables.co.uk
with the name of the retailer and, if possible, a photo or link from the QR code so we can investigate and resolve this.
We appreciate you flagging this with the retailer as well, and we apologise for the frustration caused. This is not the experience we intend, and we’re taking it seriously.

A Company with great customer service
One of the candles was broken 😞 so couldn’t use as they were numerical candles this was very disappointing especially as it was for an 86th birthday
Happily Dan Marshall has sorted this out and whilst it can’t replace the disappointment on the day, he has given a full refund and a discount for future purchases. So faith restored in this company who dealt with this situation admirably.
