My therapist was awesome, I started talking to her last summer. I had an appointment scheduled, and I had messaged her because I was having a bad week. She left me a long reply just a couple of days earlier, but I wasn’t able to respond.
Out of the blue I get an email saying she’s no longer with Talkspace. No heads up, no chance to at least communicate with her, and of course they wouldn’t give me a reason.
This is how a mental health platform acts? Cutting people off with no warning?
They assigned me another therapist, but why would I start over and build trust with another therapist knowing they could disappear overnight?

My psych barely even took any notes. Didn't even keep track of what medications we already had. He was also rude as hell. Talkspace support wasn't much good either because they would take forever to get me my records. I'm talking literal months despite many multiple and calling in. It's pathetic and clear that this company is not well run at all. Avoid at all costs, unless you want to worsen your mental health.

I used this service because it was advertised through my health insurance as being covered. A week later, I was unexpectedly charged $198 for my session and only informed of this the morning of my next appointment. I was devastated — this cost is completely unaffordable, and I planned to cancel. However, because it was within the 24‑hour window, I was told I would be charged again for canceling.
I went ahead with the session, and after explaining the situation, my therapist kindly offered to make the visit no charge. The call lasted less than 10 minutes. Despite this, I woke up today to yet another $198 charge. There is no customer support, no way to resolve billing issues, and no transparency.
Overall, I’m extremely disappointed and frustrated. These practices feel misleading, and the company needs to be upfront about costs before people invest their time, emotions, and energy.

My therapist Nia is very professional, understanding and flexible with scheduling appointment. She has helped me with my chronic condition for several years and continues to be very supportive.

I completed two sessions with Talkspace (a third was cancelled due to a technical issue, which they confirmed would not be charged). Despite this, I was charged multiple times.
I signed up under the clear understanding that my insurance would fully cover the service. There was no meaningful warning that I would be billed out of pocket.
I then received an email stating my card would be charged approximately $124. Within a very short window—well under an hour—the charge was processed. This happened twice in quick succession. A week later, it happened again—two more charges.
At that point, I had been billed for four sessions, despite only completing two.
I contacted Talkspace and gave them time to respond. I followed up again. There was no meaningful reply—only silence. When they eventually did respond, it was a generic explanation of insurance billing that did not address the actual issue.
I ultimately had to resolve this through my bank, which reversed the charges.
The problem here isn’t just billing—it’s the combination of minimal notice, repeated charges, and the lack of any meaningful support when something clearly goes wrong.
This process feels less like transparent billing and more like charges being applied first, with explanations provided later—if at all.
I would strongly caution others to review charges carefully and not rely on the initial coverage estimates shown during signup.

Assigned a new therapist less than 5 hours after my therapist of almost 3 years "put in leave for 2 days". No answer for why and she is no longer on the platform. I want answers.

It is very easy to find a therapist, change therapists, and find and set up appointments.

I really like and enjoy my sessions with Elizabeth. She helps me see things to work on even when I don’t . She has made a huge impact on my life and my marriage . I now have tools to help me cope with my emotions and it has helped me in all my relationships with family and friends as well.

The biggest issue I have is that the support literally does not exist. I submitted a support ticket 2 months ago (2271459), and nobody answered. I submitted another one 1 month ago (2297476), and again no answer. Literally ZERO response.
The purpose of going with Talkspace and not directly to someone is for these benefits of support, but they have literally no support. You have issues, and you are left to your own, and they steal your money.
I've used multiple therapists with them, and it appears they have just gone downhill, and the company is falling apart. My next therapists, I'll go directly to someone or use BetterHelp for improved support.

Kimberly Millanti is professional, respects and empathizes with me and my Christian faith. I would highly recommend her as your next therapist if you're looking to add context to your thoughts, and emotions.

This would have been my second appointment with this provider. However 10 minutes after our time should have started I received communication that they canceled our appointment. This is very unprofessional and does not look good for Talkspace. I am disappointed, but it will not keep me from visiting other providers in the future from here.

UPDATE: Someone from TALKSPACE finally got back to me and apologized for being "so busy." They also offered no resolution to my issue. But they managed to change my complaint ticket to SOLVED. Solved for who? Definitely not for me. Off to the BBB you go.
I have been trying to contact TALKSPACE for 7 weeks now and to no avail. I have been ignored and they still have the gall to keep taking my money while providing ZERO service to me. I have reached out to them several times and NO RESPONSE aside from the same bot.
