Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Most reviewers were unhappy with their experience overall. Many people were dissatisfied with the products, describing them as cheap, mass-produced, and not as advertised. Customers frequently mentioned that the quality was poor, with shoes made of plastic or thin, imitation leather rather than the promised high-quality materials. The price was also a point of contention, with many feeling the cost was far too high for the low-quality items received. Additionally, the website was criticized for inaccurate product descriptions and inaccurate sizing charts. Some people were dissatisfied with their orders, reporting issues such as late deliveries, incorrect sizes, or only receiving part of their order. Conversely, a small portion of people were satisfied with their purchases, finding the shoes to be of good quality, comfortable, and well-made, with some even receiving excellent customer service when addressing minor flaws.

This is truly a BUYER BEWARE scenario

This is truly a BUYER BEWARE scenario. Be careful when you buy from this outfit. The advertising is grossly misleading. The quality of the shoes is junk and not worth the time or money. They smelled so bad that I threw them away. To return them for a refund was more taxing than it was worth.

All of the good reviews are fake

All of the good reviews are fake. If you look at the images of the people, they’re all AI generated and the address listed for contact leads to an empty lot. Don’t fall for it.

“Buyer Beware”

“Buyer Beware”

If I could give them a negative number I would. I suppose they ran out of leather and decided to use vinyl to make my two pair of shoes. This type of quality is much cheaper to buy at a local discount store. Plus you won’t have to wait a month to receive them. Please realize that the shoes come from China, not from the US. They have no name stamped on the inside of them they are a very generic shoe. Nothing is done painstakingly except the consumer trying to contact Tanner Shoes Directly. They have an address out of Boca in Fla. and a phone number that no one ever answers. Most likely VOIP, but they have never answered. I paid approx 135.00 for these 2 pair of shoes, honestly I would think I can find something of better quality at a local Dollar General or other discount store and likely pay $30-40.00/pair. Your “sales” price of approx $65/pair is too much. Certainly your retail prices are plain robbery considering it being approximately $350/pair.

Bottom line-shipping took over 2 weeks, received shoes in bags(please note the Tanner shoe boxes on their website), no return slip no receipt in the shipping bag, 2 pair of vinyl generic shoes that the quality is sub standard at best, I personally would use the the term “pathetic.”

Whomever the two characters they are using as the couple who make these shoes and craft them with so much care and quality, should request Tanner Shoes to take them off of their advertising. I have visions of the “sweat shops” you read about in economics, who are making these shoes. If you want a good quality shoe, buy local or from a reputable online retailer. Otherwise, like me, you are throwing away a few hundred bucks to just turn around and go buy nice shoes at a local retailer. This really gives me that bad experience to buy online.

“Buyer Beware”

I can’t post the picture but the inside the shoe is stamped “Made in China”
Does this mean anything to where and who made these shoes?

Don’t be duped by the great looking website. Cheap trash that came in on a slow boat from China. Can’t even try them on because the off gassing of the plastic soles chokes me. Doubt they last very long. Bet the donation bin gets a prize.

Tanner made in China

Tanner Shoes was and is running multiple adds, advertising (on their website too), that they are a mom-and-pop shop which is closing its doors for good. Tanner explicitly states that you must act now or the shoes will be gone because there is no replacements to be had. Total lie. I ordered a pair. Shipped from China. Cheap leather too.

Fake company

Unfortunately, this company is not real. One of the products on the fictitious website is straight from Temu... the "Jake" at a price of $59.99. The products are shipped from China via Yun Express. They are not handmade in America! Be warned, or you WILL be disappointed!!!
