Amazing product god awful customer support

The soap is amazing! Natural, soothing, great for skin and long lasting. 2 bars generally last me 7-8 months.

However the customer service is horrible. The delivery takes over a month sometimes and resolving any issues with the support team is near impossible due to ghosting or slow communication. They also have some real issues properly filling out export paperwork leading to additional delays.

I always get the product in the end but only after long waiting times and protracted struggles.

One simply cannot value this amazing…

One simply cannot value this amazing soap by comparing it to anything else. The bar is small but I’ve had it for a whole year, using it once weekly to exfoliate my skin and it looks almost completely intact. It is powerful.
I leave on my skin for literally a few seconds then rinse off.
Example: I’d applied faux tan by hand and my hands were deep orange; I scrubbed with ordinary hand soap and pumice but - no result. I then tried the Taoist soap and the stains were gone in seconds.

This soap needs mindful application. I tried it once on my scalp but found it slightly drying so use it, as mentioned, just once a week for exfoliating my face.

I recommend it. It leaves my skin glowing ( really glowy) and I haven’t experienced any irritation at all because it’s got nothing synthetic in it.
I believe it to be vegan and pure.

Absolutely disgusted by the soap I was…

I was absolutely disgusted by the product I was sent. Stupidly I paid for two bars of this soap, one for my wife and one for me. £67. Their website said fast delivery - it came approx. 10 days later. What they sent were two tiny bars of soap - no bigger than a complimentary bar of soap you might find in a motel - except the ones they sent were not the nice clean, crisp red looking ones advertised on their website - just horrible brown ones, filled full of nasty bits. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement. If the soap had been a decent size (and at £33.50 for a bar of soap you would expect it to be the same size as at least a normal size bar of soap), but the product was tiny - not as advertised - looks shoddy - certainly not something I would be willing to put in a soap dish in my bathroom. Their website says no refunds - no matter what - which I find to be just a terrible way for a company to go about their business.

In addition to my last I would like to add that a Mr Mark Anderson, head of support for Taoist soap contacted me. His emails were rude, aggressive, dismissive of my opinions and full of excuses for all their companies failings - it was everyone else's fault except their own. They offered me a refund if I returned the soap at my own expense, unused, and on the proviso that I take this review down.

But they were so rude about the whole matter that in the end I decided to forgo a refund, keep my integrity intact and do the right thing to help keep the rest of the public informed about how bad this company is and to avoid dealing with them at all costs.

My transaction ID number is 9Y790975VB465110T. I am not a fake reviewer, nor a rival company (I thought Taoist soap was supposed to be unique so not sure who their rival would be?)

I am just an honest reviewer who has taken umbrage at the poor quality product I was sent, and the poor customer service I received. To say that you have no record of me, when you have emailed me three times, is a joke. You are at best trying to discredit my review, saying I was supposed to read all the fine print on your website before purchasing. At worst you are trying to get my review dismissed, which just goes to show the public what kind of people they may end up dealing with if they purchase your product.

40% of their reviews are 1 star, given by other customers who are also disillusioned by the product, so to say that I am the only person to have ever complained is also laughable.

Addition:
You keep saying you have no record of my name, but you have emailed me three times and I quoted that transaction ID in the emails.

You cannot sign up to your website - so I get no customer ID, no history of purchases and after placing my order I received no confirmation of purchase email, no confirmation or information about when my soap would arrive, no tracking information and no email to say the soap had been delivered. Its almost as if you are intentionally being as illusive as possible so as to make it extremely difficult to correspond with your company or to quote historical orders.

If you are saying my transaction ID is invalid - by all means point me in the right direction to where I should find the correct number you wish me to quote - is it in an email? Is it on your website somewhere?

The transaction number I supplied you with is the number which is on my paypal account, detailing my purchase from your company. I am happy to send you a screenshot of this information taken from paypal and send it to you in an email, but I am sure even if I did that you will say I never sent it and that I don't exist - despite the fact you just admitted that you in fact offered me a refund - I find this hard to understand.

Failing that I would be most willing to supply trust pilot with the paypal transaction information and the 'customer support' emails you sent to me.

My Review of the Taoist soap for hair growth

Best product for hair growth and skin care. This site (taoistsoap.com) is the only one that manufactures this soap, they are also the trademark holders for it, and there is no alternative on other sites like some fake reviews suggested as they are likely the ones selling them.

It comes in a luxury fabric cotton bag, with a beautiful hand stamp custom to its name.

I found this soap most helpful when using it 2 times a week, just on the scalp part, and mostly avoid hair itself. Leave in scalp for literally 2 seconds, and wash off with luke warm water.

It stopped hair falling out in showers, bed, pillows. And after 2 months of regular use, the new hair growth is much thicker. I had to get a haircut to thin the hair to make it look balanced lol.

I recommend scalp massage daily in addition to using the taoist soap. And also taking a collagen supplement. Wont name brands as would be considered as advertising. But just make sure its bovine based and hydrolyzed collagen.

Also doing a cold water rinse of the hair helps, i do that a few times a week.

The support team is also very helpful, and always respond with good answers to support your hair growth or skin regimen.

Overall highly recommended!

So pleased with the Taoist Soap in how…

So pleased with the Taoist Soap in how it has helped maintain and even improve the hair I have left. I only need to apply about 2 to 3 times a week and instructions are simple. The extra support and insight they provide even after you buy is not something you see every day. Things like a specific diet plan, exact vitamins you should be taking, and other natural methods that help hair growth. It's probably why I'm not bald yet!

Great soap

Great soap, I’ve been using it for the past 2 years for my thinning hair, the consultant service is the cherry on top since you get tailored advice from a professional.

Its been helpful for acne blemishes so ive added it to my routine. After reading some of the reviews here about the size I was getting nervous after ordering. But it’s been over 2 months and it’s still going so not a big deal for me 😊 Delivery time is a bit slow though unfortunately.

Big scam

Would have given it a 0 star if you could

Absolutely a scam!
Made my scalp so dry and itchy, still not back to normal
Please stay away from this scam
The bar size has reduced tremendously with the price going up
Stay away from this company . PS I didn’t leave it on my hair for 3 hours, it was 30 seconds and I only washed my hair twice a week
Please watch this rip off company

You applied the soap on your scalp for 3 hours - we did not say to leave in the soap. It's designed to be used just 2-3x a week, for a few seconds of application - not leaving it in for 3 hours!

Edit: You did email us stating you did use it for 3 hour leave on - regardless of that you did not answer any of the questions which could be affecting the efficacy of the soap, including water hardness - this is understood in the industry in general.

Bar size is concentrated and we do state this clearly on our website - that it is a small bar, not your regular size bar, and meant as a medical soap, not a regular hand washing soap.

Scam soap! Less than a quarter of the orginial!!

As the below people have said its a not the same now!! Less than a quarter of the size of the orginial and it smells and feels completely different. Even if not a fake you can tell quality is not the same and the amount you are paying for is ridiculous! Stay away!!!

The bars are the size of the courtesy…

The bars are the size of the courtesy toiletry bars in hotels. Do not buy! The review never mention this and that means they are FAKE. They are a scam! The bars look nothing like the pictures. These won't last a week each! Making it my mission to put out as many bad reviews as I can to stop this unethical company. I have a picture but, don't know how to share on here. The bars are LITERALLY, smaller than a business card!

they are concentrated bars - and compressed. its not meant as a regular soap bar, nor does it get used up the same speed as a regular soap bar (which do get used up quickly if they are smaller bars). We have customers using this for well over 2 months, following instructions.

The soap size does not reflect the function of the product either.
