Outstanding service, we’re absolutely over the moon!
We had a severe water leak and initially contacted a few local plumbers, but unfortunately they weren’t able to help. We were advised that they mainly carried out domestic work and hadn’t realised how serious the leak was. We were also told that the water supply couldn’t be isolated because the stopclock was seized.
We were then advised to contact our water provider, which is when I came across a social media post for Tap Stop, a specialist water leak company. I sent photos and videos of the issue via WhatsApp and Tap Stop immediately reassured me that they could resolve it. They arranged for an engineer to attend urgently.
When the engineer arrived, he carried out all the necessary safety checks before excavating the area, with water literally spraying up from the hole. He was able to isolate the water supply and repair the leak.
The competence of the engineer was second to none. He was extremely professional, knowledgeable and clearly knew exactly what he was doing. Once the repair was completed, he even washed down the area to remove all the muddy staining and put everything back using like-for-like materials. You genuinely wouldn’t know we’d ever had a leak in the garden.
Before the work was carried out, we were given a rough quote and the engineer explained the next steps clearly. I was concerned that the pipe might be in poor condition and could potentially need replacing, but Tap Stop were completely honest with us. They provided images of the repair and explained the condition of the pipe.
We were advised that, because the pipe is old copper, it will eventually need replacing in the future. However, rather than pushing us into an expensive replacement there and then, they were able to carry out a repair which saved us a lot of money. We haven’t had a single issue since.
From the initial WhatsApp contact through to the repair and clean-up, the whole experience was excellent. It’s clear that Tap Stop genuinely know their stuff and care about doing a proper job.
We will definitely be contacting Tap Stop again if we have any future issues and would have no hesitation recommending them to anyone dealing with a water leak.
