He was great
He was great! He came on time, finished the job & cleaned up after. I would highly reccommend.
First timers
It was our first time using the service, and it proved to be an easy and affordable way to address a few small carpentry issues around our new apartment. Our rabbit was communicative, prompt, and professional
First time using Taskrabbit
First time using Taskrabbit. The first 2 taskers hired for the task (who both confirmed) were flakes. The first person could not understand basic instructions, then misinterpreted them when clarified; the second tasker ghosted me in the chat after she confirmed. By the third tasker, I found the help I was looking for. Based on reviews, I spent the whole time worrying that he would not show up for the task. Thankfully tasker #3 worked out, but it was because of my due diligence to screen and fire the first two.
The catalogue of the people currently listed for work is not very appealing, or assuring that they’ll be reliable or trustworthy .
I’m glad this situation worked out for a mediocre outcome that I needed for this (considering the price paid, and stress and effort on my part). I might use Taskrabbit again, but for low-stakes situations, and only if I see anyone listed to work who doesn’t seem sketchy. Might re-hire the tasker I used (tasker #3).
Colin H was on time
Colin H was on time, pleasant and skilled at the job hired to do. I figure I paid about half of what I would have had to pay if going through a company.
Charged cancelation fee
I was charged a $45 late cancelation fee, with no warning or notice that I would be charged as I was canceling. If I had known I would be charged I wouldn't have done it. Outrageous!
IKEA and task rabbit collaboration
I was provided with a service appointment date of June 3, with an expected arrival window between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. for a Taskrabbit assembler named Abby to complete the assembly of my IKEA furniture.
When Abby did not arrive within the scheduled timeframe, I contacted him directly and was given information that conflicted with the appointment details I had received. I then contacted IKEA, through whom the assembly service had been arranged. After navigating multiple automated prompts and speaking with customer service representatives, the assembly was rescheduled for the same day at 3:00 p.m.
Unfortunately, 3:00 p.m. came and went without Abby arriving. At approximately 3:30 p.m., attempts to contact him were unsuccessful, as he did not answer his phone. Despite spending the better part of an entire day communicating with IKEA’s chatbot, AI support systems, several customer service representatives, Taskrabbit, and the assigned assembler, the task that had been paid for was never completed.
While the IKEA customer service representatives I spoke with were courteous and genuinely tried to assist, neither IKEA, Taskrabbit, nor the assigned Tasker were ultimately able to resolve the issue or fulfill the service commitment. To date, I have never received a follow-up explanation from Abby regarding the missed appointment.
As a result of this experience, I cannot recommend either IKEA’s assembly service or Taskrabbit unless customers are confident they can assemble the furniture themselves or have an alternative arrangement in place. When problems arise, there appears to be a lack of accountability and communication, leaving customers without answers and wasting valuable time.
This experience was extremely disappointing and has significantly impacted my confidence in both companies. Going forward, I will be taking my business to other flat-pack furniture retailers and would not recommend Taskrabbit based on my experience.
There's no way to contact support to discuss any problems
We used this service various times and found that they charged me a number of hidden fees ie. booking fees and cancellation fees which were outrageous. There is simply no way to contact support via chat or email and it has been an uphill battle. The taskers themselves are luck of the draw.
RipOffRabbit
First off, the Tasker wanted to charge me $5.00 per Molly Toggle on top of the $76.00 per hour to put up my shelves! Secondly,he had no clue what I wanted once I was able to contact him through the text messages. I would wait patiently for him and he would come on a couple of hours later. I got so frustrated that I told him I would pass and find someone else. So that was on a Friday morning, I cancelled on TaskRabbit's Website on my account officially for the following Monday morning Taskers appointment at 11:00 to show up! Sunday early evening I get an email from Taskrabbit that I've been CHARGED $45.00 for NOT cancelling within the 24 hours! This is bullshit! They took it out of my bank account. There was no customer assistance to talk to, no one! I'm fighting this all the way to Pat Forum on CTV NEWS! I'm not kidding!
Do not use RipOffRabbit

I booked this organization through IKEA…
I booked this organization through IKEA to assemble a couple of cabinets. The booking was a month i n advance. I kept receiving messages from them in both email and phone neither of which I could access on my devices. The website was dreadful.
There is no way you can get a human except through a prolonged chat with a chatbot. Then you get a chat with a human in California who leaves you waiting and doesn’t come back. A simple phone call to confirm whether you have someone to do the task and who, would take less than 5 minutes. I will be contacting IKEA to let them know this is a pretty terrible organization.
Update: Today, June 1 I received a message that a person had been assigned to the job for tomorrow. Unfortunately he had been informed that the job was in a city where he lives not where the job is which is a ferry ride and 45 minutes car trip away!!
If I could give this organization 0 stars I would.
The tasker I hired Winston C
The tasker I hired Winston C. Has a 5 star review and many tasks completed that’s why I hired him. The truth be told he didn’t have a clue what he was doing wasted materials and everything will need to be taken out and redone. He and task rabbit get around the bad review by not closing the tast. Like it never happened!
So far so good
We don’t have the final bill yet and if they add hidden fees I will change this review but it was super easy to find a local guy who got here faster than we expected and is doing the job quickly and efficiently. He’s been polite and we got his number so next time we can get around the company fees. For us this worked out very well, but it seems like hot or miss with the ‘taskers’
A Complete Failure in Booking, App Design, and Support
The core functionality of this app is deeply flawed. I have now had five consecutive tasks canceled by different Taskers simply because the app refuses to remove unavailable time slots, allowing customers to book "fake" availability in the first place. To make matters worse, the app's automated system actively penalizes the customer for the Tasker's cancellation by instantly invalidating your one-time promo code. You are then forced to fight with support just to get your original discount back.
Getting assistance to fix these app-created issues is an absolute nightmare. During off-hours, you are forced to deal with an incredibly frustrating and useless AI chatbot that cannot actually solve account issues or escalate complaints. Even when you finally endure the wait to connect with a human agent, they will arbitrarily abandon the active chat session before you have even finished typing your concerns.
Worse, their agents don't even understand their own tools. A representative directed me to a feedback web form that immediately auto-rejected my ticket because it was strictly for CCPA data deletion requests.
Save your time and avoid this platform.
They protect the bad tasker doesn’t…
They protect the bad tasker doesn’t care about their customers. Their service for the clients is awful. Now I’m dealing with Handyman more expensive but excellent service
They don't validate their workers
They don't validate their workers. Basically profiles can say whatever they want. I opened a dispute with my credit card and be aware that taskrabbit will not take any responsibility. They claim they are facilitate the exchange and platform so they do not vet people.I would never use them again.
Frustrating Experience with TaskRabbit Canada’s Unresponsive Customer Support
My experience with TaskRabbit Canada has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. I wasn’t even able to successfully create an account, which should be the most basic part of using any service. When I reached out to customer support for help, things only got worse.
Their response times are extremely slow, and when they do reply, the messages are generic and unhelpful. It feels like they aren’t actually reading what I’m saying—I kept getting asked the same questions over and over again, despite already providing the information multiple times. There was no real attempt to resolve the issue or move things forward.
Overall, the customer service is completely ineffective and unprofessional. Based on this experience alone, I have no confidence in the platform and will not be using TaskRabbit Canada again.
Nightmare service
Nightmare service, unprofessional, a joke.
This company is pure evil. They stole money from and lied about it.
Their service is abysmal, this is the lowest rated company I've seen in my life 1.8 wow.
Why do business with a 1 star company? Never seen this low of rating. RUN FROM THESE CROOKS
They stole and lied from a vulnerable person. Refund my money NOW
Horrible
I booked a moving guy with a track who cancelled last minute. His name is Joey and he’s Asian looking guy. The app doesn’t let you put a review for the person you hired because they just disappear from your chat.
This is a "legalized" SCAM!!
This is a SCAM! I requested a service. "Oh! Too heavy! I need a helper!". So, 4 hours after, nothing was reinstalled, just dumped. The helper disappeared for a few hours, so they'd have 4 hours, which is the max.
Conclusion: 950$ to pay for both, which should be 400$ to one and 260$ to another! I SHOULD HAVE USED A PROFESSIONAL MOVING SERVICE! Don't make the same mistake! Ask for real companies! If you think you'll be paying more, choose better! It's better pay for professionals to complete the work than having a dump on your place and crazy invoices you can't disagree with!
Unfair treatment of Taskers despite…
Unfair treatment of Taskers despite honest work
I’ve been a Tasker with years of experience, always doing my best to offer quality service at very reasonable rates. Recently, I accepted a job 31 Dec 2025 through TaskRabbit at $22/hour, which involved adjustments and fixes on a main entrance door — a job that required both precision and extra effort.
The task took 1 hour and 35 minutes and I also drove 35 kilometers to complete it. Instead of appreciation for my low pricing and additional effort, the client complained simply because I billed for 2 hours — which is my clearly stated minimum and common practice.
Despite this, TaskRabbit sided with the client, suspended my account for *10 days, and didn’t give me a fair chance to explain. It feels like the platform punishes those who follow policy but don’t blindly please the client.
Also worth noting: if you try to charge your *real, fair rate based on the complexity and time of your work*, TaskRabbit simply stops recommending you to clients. *You’ll barely get any new jobs unless you undercharge yourself.*
If you're a professional who takes pride in your work and expects respect and fairness — be very cautious using this platform.
Very disappointing - won't do ATM task
Very disappointing, and a time-consuming run-around for nothing.
I had used TaskRabbit in the past to do errands to the ATM (bank) machine for me. They charge a lot, so I tried to use a taxi instead. The taxi wasn't available, so I tried TaskRabbit again. I had always paid their high fees for this 15-minute task, a minimum of an hour, plus a tip. Suddenly, they refuse to do a task connected with "money".
Moreover, to speak to a "tasker" you have to wait a hour. Then the guy declines, and you have to wait another hour to try another tasker. It took two hours to be told they refuse to do a "money"related task. I deleted my account.
