The people serving the customers here…
The people serving the customers here ought to be under someone's supervision. I came here this morning for obvious reasons. My situation was as follows:
The woman who makes you go through the metal detector drew my attention as soon as I walked in by saying: this way, this way, in great Spanish. But when I drew nearer to her, I said, "Ah!" You can speak Spanish. She started acting arrogant then. She was so haughty that I had to address her in English and ask her if she was alright or if there was something wrong. After that, it appeared as though her computer had been restarted, and she retorted: "No, nothing, not at all."
I then proceeded to the person in charge of requesting identification. He acted with considerable arrogance in the same situation. I then went to the next individual, a Latina woman, who inquires as to your purpose for being there. I was given the ticket and instructed to proceed to the waiting area. Compared to the other two employees, she behaved worse.
However, the last person to serve me, the one who asked for my ticket number, was so personable and competent that he ended up brightening my day. I was going to ask what was his name, but everything happened so quickly. I wish to express my gratitude for his professionalism.
As for the other three employees, they need to get off their high horses and start seeing people for who they are, not for what they look like.
In conclusion, I don't ask for a smile or friendliness, to sum up. I only ask that everyone behave professionally and with respect for one another.
