I requested for a ride and my payment option is card payment by default. But on alighting I went ahead to pay the driver cash as I was in a hurry because it was raining. When I discovered on getting home, I called the driver who insisted it was a cash trip. I reported via the app support section and they promised to make the driver call me. The driver called after some days and promised to pay back but till now he hasn't. I tried to complain again via the app but couldn't as the complaint ticket has been closed. Why on earth will you close a ticket that has not been resolved. This trip took place around 2months ago.

Got into the car with the driver and he said my trip was too far and refused to take me. Charged me £10 and refused to give me my money back. Bolt then said I had damaged his car and withheld my money for another week. Customer service is especially poor, if anything goes wrong the chances of sorting it / getting a refund are very low

Same service as Uber for much lower price. Android App not quite as slick, but you can forgive that. I've seen the one star reviews - sorry for those guys, but my my experience was very good..
ALMOST KIDNAPPED
Bolt's driver silently took us an hour out of our way and out of the city. He wouldn't listen to us trying to turn the car around to go back to our destination. This was a terrifying experience, and Bolt is refusing to reply or apologise for the harrowing trip we endured.
The trip should have taken 12 min and cost £7-9. It took over an hour, and we were overcharged by £50. I'm disgusted and outraged at the blatant lack of concern for customer safety displayed by Bolt, and the refusal to respond to any of my correspondence.
Disgusting, shameful behaviour. Will be telling everyone I know to steer clear of this app for their own safety.

Why should bolt assign my journey to a driver who is over 20mins away, whereas where I'm going to is less than a 5mins drive! Bizarre. Not again.
Great app!!
I'm reading all these reviews and I'm thinking I never would have got the app if I would have read these first! However I can only praise them! I've used them around 7 times now and the price has been amazing! With the promo I was able to get to work (a £20 journey) for just £6.50!! Which I was very happy with. Their drivers are friendly, I did not have to wait long and the promos are great! I will deffo keep using them. The only reason I didn't give 5stars is because there is no option for a return journey.
Do not use!
Do not use!
I used bolt on the 12/08/19 in London, was charged £12.50 for £7.50 trip because they charged me for an 8.5 mile trip when it was only 5 miles. It's not a lot of money but more a matter of principle and how they operate.
They apologised and said I am right, I have been overcharged because there was a fault with the drivers device but they can't give my money back. :O Please note this is word for word.
They offered me a promo code instead!
How can a company overcharge someone wrongly, admit it and then say sorry we can't give your money back???!!!
I am fuming, not over the money as it's only £5 but the cheek of it. They overcharge people and lock them in by giving them a promo code.
I am still sending emails, next step will be to take it to TFL and Association for Payment Clearing Services as they operating unlawfully and cannot be trusted with our card details.

One of the worst taxi apps in the history of the world.
- they give customers a range when booking but will not hesitate to charge you much more. My estimate for a v short journey was £7-10 but I was charged £25.
- they do NOT have a customer service number or any customer services AT ALL. Send a message and someone MIGHT respond two weeks later.
- they block accounts for no apparent reason - you only find out as you’re about to make a booking and guess what? No customer service presence to unblock it.
- they’re all mad.
Worst app/company since sliced bread and bread was sliced in 1842. Do not use. Highly unreccommended. I’d rather walk than to deal with this incompetent and useless company.
This review is on BOLT APP / previously known as taxify.
Terrible customer service!
Downloaded Bolt because i was told it was better and cheaper than uber. First i got a code from a friend to say it my “first ride was free”. So I ordered a taxi which cancelled on me after 10 mins (did i mention i was also on crutches and had told the cab this..). I had to order another one and wait 8 more minutes for it to arrive. Then found out they tried to charge me 3 times and claimed i had not used any first time code. After trying to contact their customer service with no luck, someone finally messaged back a day later just to repeat what i asked say - “you didn't put any code”.
Worst first experience, terrible customer service.
Fraud app
Fraud app. Beware! I tried to use this app for the first time from Stansted. Driver cancelled a ride. I was still charged full price for no ride. I called the customer servise. They was keep telling me it was an autorisation fee (first time) and they can not cancel this transaction. They did not give me to talk to the manager as well. And put a phone down. Also , there is no 50% off first ride as advertised. When I asked about it as well, I was told to email a screenshot ,as she was not aware.
Stay away from Bolt!
Stay away from Bolt!!! They sent me a promo code of 50% off which would be applied automatically but when I finished my ride it charged me full price. I tried calling the customer support numerous times but they didn’t answer. I emailed them 5 or 6 times before they finally replied saying the discount had been added but it clearly hadn’t. I stupidly decided to give this company one more chance (Incase it had been a genuine error). This journey was estimated between £7-£9 but at the end they charged me £16! Have written in once again so will see what they reply. Either way this company is a complete rip off and ball ache-stick with UBER or ViaVan!!!
Scammers
Scammers. Please beware. Was on a night out with work expected to take the bus back as I have many times before. When I came out of the club my work colleague insisted on paying for a cab for me to get home. ( I work with the best) We looked online and the price came to £22-£26. We thought that was reasonable. When I got home the cab man said it was £30. I told him the maximum on the website was £26? and he acted like he couldn't care less an to complain if I wanted. Dont use Bolt that are pulling a scam.
I have been ripped off by this firm but…
I have been ripped off by this firm but they are now called Bolt. Charged me £32 for a £16 journey with uber or a minicab. Expected it to be a little higher as said 2.3x fare £19-25 but when the bill came through I was astounded!! They added £1 congestion charge even thought 11pm and £8.25 extra charge for nothing.. base fare was £5.75 and distance was £16.50... way more than uber etc but then suddenly became £32..
I rang them and no help or explanation and wouldn’t give me their office address and only and eu email.
Watch out and be careful. They will hike up even with a promo code.
Terrible service
Terrible service. Driver refused to drive to where I asked to be picked up. I called him to tel him that he’s in the wrong place and he cancelled the ride, drove off and charged me. I provided evidence that he wasn’t in the right place (photos) but customer service refused to refund me. Never use.
If I could give no stars I would
If I could give no stars I would. Trip estimated at £32-£38 for 90 minute ride, I was happy with that and could afford it. After the trip it took Bolt 2 days to provide me with the cost and a receipt and it was £52! The support got back to me a day after I complained to say the trip was 90 minutes so £52 is correct. I replied that 90 minutes was the estimated time and price estimation was £32-£38. I’ve requested compensation but no response. Stay away from them and stick to Uber, I know I will be!
I’ve only ever used this app once
I’ve only ever used this app once, as it over charged me by £13. Anyone who hasn’t been refunded yet, contact support to put the money back into your account.
Drivers will take you through a longer route to get more money. Beware and delete the app if you want to be careful.
This app is a scam
Fraud and corrupt APP.
I hired a ride with this app which initially would cost € 13,00. When I got out they charged me €30,25 because the driver took the wrong path (the driver acknowledged he was wrong and even apologize). I've gotten in through with them about it - explained that the driver took the wrong path and they said i had already gotten two cupons, one of € 10 and one of €5,00. I have never agreed upon such an offensive offer.
Obviously I do not want a promo code for this corrupt app - but they say they absolutely wont give me a refund of € 17,25 which is my money.
I'm still waiting for my refund.
This app is a scam - DO NOT USE
I ordered a taxi with this app which it said would cost £11. When I got out they charged me £28. I emailed them - they said its a GPS malfunction but they cannot offer refunds - only a promo code. Obviously I do not want a promo code for this corrupt app - but they say they absolutely wont give me a refund of £15 which I am owed. They have admitted their mistake but will not give me my money back. If anyone has advice please let me know? I am not going to let this go. DO NOT USE THIS APP! They are thieves, they took money out of my account which they were not owed and will not give it back. use uber instead - far more reliable and genuine.
Unethical and unprofessional Bolt team
Hi guys,
If someone is driving DIDI and UBER, then don’t install these BOLT apps as bolt team is very unethical & unprofessional.
I want to share my experience I’m a uber, didi & OLA driver as well as I was TaxifyDriver and it’s converted into Bolt.
Three days before I got one call in Four km radius approx 11:20 pm from Narre Warren area. They booked bolt and Rider sat in my car (two boys) almost 20-22 age. After that they told me, they need to come back again same location, and they were not operating bolt apps and someone else booked the ride for them.
When we reached on destination 44 km, they called his friend to change address back to same location. I started drive again back to their same location. And in between we stopped at MC Donald approximately 10-12 minutes, but apps continue working, It’s all things operated from bolt apps at home. I followed everything from apps.
Then I drooped them on apps end location.
They Spoilt my car with spilling milkshakes and another foods Stuff, and they stopped my money $140 from bolt apps I really didn’t know the reason.
I informed everything to bolt team by email and apps, but they didn’t reply a single words. Amount was almost $140 for 83.1 KM. I lost my money as well as car cleaning cost because of bolt team.
Please Don’t trust to bolt in any condition.
I’ll approach Australian Driver Accreditation team to take legal action on this matter. If someone have idea how to recover my money from bolt then share your suggestion with me.

Really bad response rate and no driver would pickup..
Stranded at Uxbridge for over 30mins before called an Uber.
So driver shouldn't have accepted twice if they couldn't make it.
No matter what discounts they give, DO NOT FALL IN THE TRAP..
