It's been a long time since we last used a solicitors so it was good that we found a really good and efficient one in Taylor Emmet. Slight hiccup when we had no internet for several days but other than that we have no complaints and would have no hesitation in recommending Taylor Emmet to anyone needing good solicitors.

Taylor Emmet were involved with selling my previous property & buying my new property.
Both the 2 solicitors Lisa & Wendy, I worked with were very professional. There was good communication between the solicitors & myself. They were always happy to take a phone call, answer an email or chase up outstanding actions.
They keep the process moving forward during what were some very stressful different moments. They were always realistic with timescales yet proactive to get as much done in advance as they could.
The solicitors worked together so if one were off on holiday the other would cover, so I was never left without someone managing my house move. This was a godsave at times.
I would be happy to recommend Taylor Emmet.

The advice and support I was given to sort out a complicated family trust deed including the conveyance of my late mothers house. Thank you

Amazing service with lots of communication ready for our first time house buy. No question was a silly one and the team helped us lots. Especially thanks to Julie for aiding us with our house completion and sorting things out so promptly.

Philippa in the Bakewell office was very helpful and gave good advice. She was patient and persistent and did a good job of keeping us informed about the progress of the transaction.

Taylor Emmet dealt with the sale of our house in Sheffield in a thoroughly efficient and friendly manner and I have no hesitation in commending them.

Absolutely shocking from start to finish would never use again!
One member of the sales team who took care of my case was rude, unfriendly, disrespectful and unprofessional! This one member put me off using this company again.

We were given a trainee conveyancer which I did not agree with for a £785000 house.
When we received the first set of questions we asked to see Nathan and an appointment was Made.a few hours before the meeting it was cancelled due to his illness and was rescheduled for the next day.
We arrived at Dronfield he didn’t.After a wait someone was found to see us and Sophie was very helpful.Other questions were subsequently send with no guidance or comments.
When it was time to sign the contract it was sent with pdf documents which we were told to download fill in and sign. When we told you we had no means of downloading we were told if we went to your office the receptionist would download them for us.
These are the most important documents most people complete and some guidance was needed.
Fortunately Jess at Redbrik offered to help.We have moved house several times and this was the poorest experience we have had.We got the impression that we were of no importance to Taylor Emmett.
We would not recommend T/E to anyone.

Excellent service from all people we had to help us through the sale of our house and the purchase of our new bungalow. Professional and courteous throughout the process. Kept us informed every step of the way.
Ben Brown and his inheritance team have been acting for my family for a couple of years.
They have over £14,000 of our family’s inheritance in their bank account & for months I have been emailing Ben Brown directly asking why they haven’t dispersed this money to the family members & his last reply three months ago was that they haven’t been given the figures by Graftons, but I explained that they have the information and it was just a matter of crunching the numbers.
Since that email he and his company have not had the decency to reply.
I have resorted to send him yet another email yesterday asking him to complete the process especially as they have been paid upfront, so this seven day notice is that I will report the company to The Law Society and put a formal complaint in to the Financial Ombudsman.
Ben Brown and his associates have acted diabolically in my opinion, and I will pursue this until they give our family the balance of our inheritance.
I would not recommend that any potential clients use the services of this company & I cannot understand why there are any positive reviews on this website.
The actions of Ben Brown and his team have added to the stress of the death of a family member & they should hang their heads in shame.
As a family we agreed to pay Graftons & Taylor Emmett 30% of the inheritance, so they had £48,000 of the estate, they have been holding onto £15,000 plus the accrued interest since April… they seem to think that they can keep the money and not complete the work that they have been paid for.

We know that we had made a good decision to employ Taylor Emmet for our house sale and purchase from day one. Regular and clear updates on their progress with our transactions, speedy responses to requests for updates and clarifications, helping us to successfully navigate the minefield that is UK property law and meeting our personal deadline to complete our sale and purchase. And, all done with patience and understanding of what we were feeling and needing as we moved towards completion. Trust me, you can trust them!

Paula and Jacob in the Conveyancing team at Taylor Emmet were amazing from start to finish in helping with our house sale. They responded quickly, kept us informed throughout, were proactive and made sensible suggestions and were thoroughly understanding of our circumstances. Highly recommended.

Just a dreadful experience from start to finish. Absolute lack of communication throughout. The only time I would get updates on about 50 enquiries that they made was if I chased them myself. Every time I called no one was available to speak, they never returned your calls and every time I expressed concern, I would get the same 'thank you for your email' or 'that must be frustrating' copy and paste email.
They left the most important enquiry to the end after I'd already paid £930 up front in fees. They then pushed my completion date back because they requested the funds from my ISA too last minute and refunded me £100 because I had booked the day off work, organised removal vans and had paid for industrial cleaners. Like that was gonna cover it! - Was almost an insult.
I have no idea how they are rated this highly, but the negative reviews i've seen on this site have been spot on. I strongly recommend going somewhere else.

Had a great experience with Conveyancing team at Taylor Emmet from start to finish. They made the process of selling my home and buying a new one much less stressful and smooth than I was anticipating. The team were always extremely responsive and personable. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a solicitor for their home move. Thank you Sarah and team!

Linsey Duggan offered no advice, did not want to understand my case, but continually charged for the limited service that she openly admitted to being very limited.
Went through the formal complaint procedure. Again Lucy Roger confirmed hardly any advice given & the “case needed a reset”. However the complaints procedure is flawed as she did exactly the same as Linsey, high level review with no outcome offered.
When I went to politely challenge that & requested a proper look into my case file, Lucy decided that Taylor Emmett could not offer their services any longer.
£1,500 of fees, zero advice & I am now entering a final hearing in 6 weeks time with my ex wife wanting to take everything I have, & I currently have no advocacy.
I have worked at board level within a much larger solicitor firm so am aware of how these firms operate, but I wasn’t expecting this level of unethical work.
Despite many issues caused by the vendor's solicitors, our contact at Taylor Emmet went above and beyond to help us and get things moving. We will definitely be using them next time.
