CLOSED MY ACCOUNTS WTHOUT EXPLAINATION
I have been a loyal TD Bank client for over 15 years. Recently, I received a letter from TD informing me that all of my accounts — including my chequing account, line of credit, and credit card — will be closed within 16 business days. The letter did not provide any explanation for this decision.

I have made several attempts to contact TD representatives to understand the reason behind this closure, but every person I’ve spoken with has told me they have no information or authority to discuss it further.

This situation has been both unexpected and concerning. I have a stable income that is regularly deposited into my TD account, maintain a positive banking history, and have no outstanding debts on my credit card or line of credit. All of my transactions are legitimate and transparent.

After being a long-term, responsible customer, I believe I deserve a clear explanation for this sudden action

Blocked e-transfer and then a wire…

Blocked e-transfer and then a wire transfer due to "security reasons"....what they didn't tell me is that they are censoring my choice of moving money out of their system. They don't allow money to be moved into Bitcoin exchanges. They even threatened me with the possibility of "freezing" my account!....wake-up people, these banks own YOU!

Thanks a lot

Just opened my first account at TD Waterhouse and will not be funding it. The CSR who answered my call this morning played passive aggressive provided no solutions and just plain messed with me and didn't value my time much. She then passed my call to a coworker who said she was a supervisor and was not. I'm glad I had this experience early on from Priant. Thanks a lot I won't be using TD

I am writing to share my recent…

I am writing to share my recent experience with your phone service, which unfortunately was very disappointing.

I spent over two hours trying to connect, and when I finally reached a representative, it was very difficult to understand the information being provided. The agent did not seem knowledgeable about home insurance and was unable to address my concerns. As a result, I feel that my time was wasted and my questions remain unanswered.

I am sorry to say that the overall service I received was poor. I hope this feedback can be used to improve training and support so customers can receive clear and accurate guidance in the future.

I made an online account for TD jobs

I made an online account for TD jobs. It’s been more than a month, I applied for 2 jobs when I check into my account, it’s the same thing I see every time. WE ARE EVALUATING YOUR QUALIFICATIONS .They didn’t even contact me for an interview and no back email nothing. Very disappointing!!

Account keeps getting locked

Opened an account not even a week ago, the following day my account was locked, due to fraud? I wasn't contacted by the fraud department or anything. I had to go into a TD location, get a new card. Then 2 days later my account is locked AGAIN. And they tell me I have to go in and get a new card. I am the only one with access to my account, this is ridiculous.

I sold my house and TD put a hold on my deposit for 10 days. Hmmm I can send an etransfer and the money is there. Customer control says it takes that long to verify the funds that came from the Royal Bank. In 2025 yeah right.

Exceptionally bad branch at queen…

Exceptionally bad branch at queen street east and Lee avenue in Toronto. Ordered cheques to arrive at the branch last week of june. After multiple follow up visits and two extremely dismissive encounters with managers J and A, no resolution!! Got a “too bad so sad” response from the counter person, who was equally frustrated for not being able to help. Unprofessional managers, and irresponsible outsourced company, deluxe, who has no reason to respond because td does not care, particularly the branch management

This bank is awful charging me a service fee for an account I just keep my money in I use my chequing account more and they still service charge me for both even tho I was told if I transfer my money to my chequing it wouldn’t.

This bank don’t let you control your…

This bank don’t let you control your own money. They have locked my account for suspicious behaviour. ( I was paying my employees through e transfer and they thought it was suspicious??) They locked my account. They won’t unlock it because I don’t have an access card. The access card they sent me weeks ago that I didn’t receive. The second access card they sent a few days ago I haven’t received yet , now they say I need to go into a bank and get a new card. Until then I can’t do e -transfers, check my account, nothing.
Even though they can verify my identity over the phone. This is crazy I guess now I’ll be missing some work tomorrow to go to the bank. Thanks TD …. Could you send me a bit of gas money since I can’t get to my own money??

Rude

Branch: 100 Steeles Ave W Unit 1, Thornhill, ON L4J 7Y1. Incompetent. Always new people working there, know nothing, asking each other. Long lineups. Disrespectful. Among other, the teller told me that waiting for an hour was normal. In the middle of serving me, he also told me that he would help another co-worker (whose client had already left) and I would have to wait more. He was very rude, he called me names and I left crying.

Glendale Branch St Catharines

Glendale branch in St. Catharines is completely incompetent and has Google reviews removed …wonder why. I have had a $47,000 cheque in limbo for a year because they don’t know their own processes and despite multiple indications from cheque issuer things are fine they refuse to release funds and just move the goalposts asking for something new each visit. This is a really pathetic establishment with terrible managers like Angel who prioritize people who look a certain way if not you are treated like garbage. Hopefully others are warned to never bank here before they try to get their PR team to remove this review as well.
