Worst service ever

Worst service ever. I had an urgent issue and was put on hold for 2 hours!! Only to find out that the dept was actually closed. Then they gave me another number to call which was a number for CRA. For 2 days I have been trying to fix an urgent issue and was told to call back again tomorrow. DISGUSTING SERVICE.

Horrible Customer service Guelph…

Horrible Customer service at the Guelph Speedvale Branch. Bank Machines are now closed at night making their service even more useless to customers. This branch is by far the worst in the province. TD is becoming an embarrassment to its customers. Shameful service offered daily.

Showing improvement

I spent an hour today with a technical advisor re-registering for online banking, due to systems upgrades etc, Though a bit of an inconvenience, the process was smooth and professionally handled. To be honest, in the past I have found TD to be rather clunky in their systems and branch service somewhat cold. More recent experience suggests improvements in progress. I do wish TD had a more global rather than just US orientation in terms of their international offer.

No instant credit card approval for excellent credit and perfect everything

TD is a risk adverse bank. Their online credit card application is set up to decline you. If you receive a response saying your credit card application is pending approval, that means they hesitated to instant approve you, and your application will be declined in the follow up email. However, if you visit their branch or call them, they can get you approved if the rep is in a good mood.

I bank with TD for 15 years and have just one premium credit card with them. They just don’t want me to have another credit card with them despite my 835 credit score and perfect credit history.

I’ve been on hold with the fraud…

I’ve been on hold with the fraud department for two hours now. I opened an account online and then it was suddenly frozen. I was told I had to go into a branch to reactivate. In the branch I had to go through the whole process again, but my account was still locked. The teller the. Told me to call the fraud department so here I am two hours later listening to how important my call is to you. Really?

TD has frozen a 1800$ CA interac…

TD has frozen a 1800$ CA interac transfer done to myself☝️after identity checked and done on the phone with the security center agent... Absolutely for no reason... The female agent has just decided to block it after the call without warning me. the money is "in the air" and they absolutely don't care. I sent several request via email and it's always the same story. Asking your name and phone number to contact you and they never did 😞. Now the interac transfer is past dated. I got a message from the interac system and TD didn't return the money to my account 😔. And on top of it they want me to go back to Canada to restore my account. As I am a digital nomade I have no intention to go back for the moment. The worst experience of my life with a bank. I should charge them my consulting rate for all the time lost in this story. I have no words to tell you how bad they are. The true robbers are right here. You have been warned. Wish you good luck🤞.

The debacle of the direct deposit

The debacle of the direct deposit, being on hold with customer "service" for over an hour twice, not notifying customers as to what or when it will be dealt with. I am a long term customer and this is totally unacceptable. If I did my job like you handled the direct deposit issues, by not letting customers know, I wouldn't have a job. But that's fine, I'm sure myself and others will be leaving after this shoddy way of treating customers.

TD IS HORRIBLE

WARNED ABOUT TD. If you have a transaction outside of the norm such as a credit to your account or credit card they will be the most frustrating, incompetent and deceitful ‘customer service’ you have ever experienced. Over five weeks they have hung up not bothering to call back, provide a different excuse every time you speak to them and promise calls back that never happen. How disgusting is that behaviour? To top it all off they refuse to give you their true name, definitely not their last (for security reasons) and will not accept an email from you. When you have proof of a transaction they aren’t interested in the facts.
I ask why would you want to do business with a company that so blatantly does not value your business. The bs at this company is astounding!

Don't be fooled by TD Canada's repeated…

Don't be fooled by TD Canada's repeated and deceptive advertising. TD Canada is neither professional nor expert. I was given the wrong mortgage," I negotiate with someone at the branch in downtown Vancouver and when I was at the branch to sign the renewal there was a different person who never told me that she has no idea regarding my case even when I asked for the where is the other advisor I originally spoke to; she replies that another advisor is not available and she will help me without telling me that she has no idea about what was my arrangement with the other advisor. She presents me with the renewal without advising me of any option and what is in my best interest " I wanted to believe that this is an isolated incident, however, the way the management at TD replied proved otherwise with the comment made by the mortgage center manager who introduced himself as Nick and wouldn't provide a last name," so much for the professionalism that you don't know who you are talking to" IF I HAD A GUN IN MY HEAD followed WHY I DIDN'T DO it DUE DILIGENCE IN MY PART WHEN I WAS SINGING THE CONTRACT without hearing about my concern and when I asked why I wasn't notified as before when there was a major change in my mortgage term Nike mortgage center manager's answer was WOW, WOW, WOW, and nothing else, I can not recall how many times he repeat WOW. Nick, couldn't answer my question because they change how to communicate with me without my consent to save a penny by going paperless. It makes me wonder If they were so professional according to their advertising why I should do my own due diligence?
On the bright side, I consider myself lucky that I do not have any other business with TD Canada except the mortgage which is for investment and their unethical and unprofessional practice will not affect me that much.
Perhaps Nick was right on one point don't trust their professional advice and get professional advice from someone who is actually a professional.

Worst bank in Canada

I went to TD McGillvary and Pembina in Winnipeg 5 times and still have NOT recieved money owed to the estate of my mother. I do not need be reminded of my mother's passing daily when I check the mail. They are incompetent and deceitful. I was promised a cheque in 10 - 15 days after my second visit (FEB 15, 2023) and still have not gotten any communication other than a request to sign paperwork four additional times because they do not know how to handle a small estate amount (less than $2000). BMO, ManuLife and the Government of Canada all have settled. Avoid this bank if you can.

Unprofessional Agents

On April 21st, I had a lengthy, frustrating 8-hour long interaction with TD Canada Trust over one transaction. I spoke with 7 Indians and 3 Canadians: all 7 Indians gave poor customer service and all 3 Canadians gave acceptable customer service. The Indians were rude and unwilling to do their job when the customer spoke about negative experiences in the ongoing transaction while the Canadians were understanding and helpful.

TD Canada Trust staff have a history of using customer information from their jobs to attack frustrated bank customers online. There is an article from the CBC where a TD Canada Trust CSR tried to sabotage a bank customer entitled: "Frustrated TD Bank customer stunned after service rep bites back online". If you complain about their bad service, you may soon find fake online reviews that attempt to sabotage you.

I do not use my real name in online reviews and I do not give my real email address or telephone number to businesses I do not trust and that includes TD Canada Trust.

Be careful of TD Canada Trust; their staff are unprofessional and lack the maturity to handle frustrated customers.
