Appalling service and 8 months of silence regarding a formal complaint
I am writing this review as a final resort after being ignored by Teal Finance for nearly eight months.
I paid a £495 brokerage fee for a service that was never delivered. After my initial broker, Louis (who was great), left the firm, my case was handed to Francesca. What followed was a complete collapse in professional standards. Francesca was consistently unreachable, ignored urgent emails for weeks, and failed to respond to the lenders.
The situation became so dire that the lenders had to bypass Teal Finance and deal with me directly to ensure my house purchase completed on 20th March 2025. I effectively did the job I paid Teal Finance £495 to do. Since 3rd March 2025, I have not had a single proactive communication from them regarding my mortgage.
The Complaints Process is Non-Existent:
I submitted a formal complaint in April 2025 requesting a refund. It is now almost January 2026, and despite calling several times every single month and sending numerous emails, I have been met with total silence.
Every time I call, I am told the matter has been "escalated" to the CEO (Ben) or the Compliance Manager (Francesca). I am promised call-backs that never happen and replies that never arrive. To ignore a formal complaint for eight months is not just poor customer service; it is a breach of professional conduct.
If you are looking for a broker who will actually communicate and earn their fee, look elsewhere. Teal Finance has taken my money and vanished.
Response Required: I am still seeking a full refund of my £495 fee and an explanation for this disgraceful lack of professionalism.
