Team Tours Reviews 

Our school took 30 middle school students on a 3.5 day camping trip led by Team Tours this week and it was fantastic! The instructors Daniel and Jakob were fantastic with the kids and really engaged them, made them feel safe and involved, and gave them the confidence to get out of their comfort zones and try new things. They handled conflict well and set clear boundaries and expectations with the students while still being really fun and approachable - the kids loved them!

The activities were excellent - fun, engaging, and varied enough to appeal to students with many different interests and skills, and allow them to engage and interact with their peers in ways that helped them develop their teamwork and collaboration skills in fun ways. They also had the kids take responsibility for things like cooking, cleaning, firewood, water, etc. teaching them cool new skills along with responsibility and ownership.

Team Tours provided everything we needed in terms of food and drinks, and taught the students how to cook simple meals over the campfire that were delicious! There were snacks when we had long days, and they accommodated any eating restrictions we had in the group. They planned the schedule for us and ran the trip, so we (the teachers) were really just there for support most of the time.

We not only had a super fun time, but it was also an experience that I feel was really beneficial to our students, their development, and the relationships and community within the class.

I couldn’t recommend Team Tours more!

We just had a trip with team tours for our middle school students. Daniel and Jakob were amazing instructors and all the activities were engaging and fun. Rikke was helpful through the trip-planning process. Students loved camping, chopping firewood, making their own dinners over the fire. The team building games were fun and creative. One parents said her son felt more independent and confident after trying new skills on the trip. Some students asked to stay an extra day! This was a fantastic experience.

I have recently returned from a trip from Amsterdam with 5 other classes from our school.
Having organized 10 study tours for a single class at a time in the past, it has always been the year’s most exciting and stressful experience.

On the one hand, they give our students a chance to form stronger relationships and have once in a lifetime experiences.
It also gives us teachers the chance to stress over everything that can and could go wrong – hundreds of tickets, addresses and timelines.
Weeks of preparation help make some of these things easier, but life has a funny way of throwing curve balls at a large group far from home.

This year my school chose send all of our classes to a single destination organized by an external agency for the first time in its history. It was an entirely different experience.
Not only was my pre-trip planning reduced from weeks to hours, but having Team Tours organizing events on the ground meant that my colleagues and I enjoyed the same type of study tour that our students do – without all of the bad parts. Our staff and students formed stronger relationships, not only within our class or study lines, but between them as well. The entire school has benefitted as a result.

Their ability to arrange events was excellent, as was their management of the inevitable crises that arise - from lost luggage to twisted ankles to more.
I would recommend this to any large school looking to get rid of the worst parts of study tours.
