Bought the Virus (£32) for my dog…

Bought the Virus (£32) for my dog (staffy cross) based on reviews (should have checked here) and details stating it was 'durable' with 'strong stitching' and could be used for games of tug with medium to large dogs, their own information states these are designed to stop dogs destroying plush toys... oh how foolish & naive i was.

My dog initially loved her Virus, it took a little 'coaching' to get her to focus on the removable limbs and we were away. She had them off in 30-seconds, it took me a good few minutes to reattach and off we went again. Under strict supervision and after approx. 3 detachments some of the stitching came apart around the velcro pockets and I sewed/repaired them.
Same loop repeats, stripped in minimal time and more time for me to reattach while she sits giving me the doe eyes wondering why i'm playing with her toy more than her!

I gave up and let her have it completely (without wrestling it back off her after limbs were detached). The whole thing was destroyed in minutes... ripped apart at the seams.

If your dog is a destructive chewer, this is not the toy for you... take that ££ and give it to a local pet charity where it could help some animals (or whatever you want, i'm not your boss), but I don't recommend this product at all.

Reading the refund/returns policy and other reviews, I've no chance or recouping costs... I've nothing to send back and there's a handy little get out clause in their FAQ "We do not cover any damage caused by misuse (chewing, gnawing or ripping of individual parts)"... little odd for a chew toy!

Anyway, my recommendation is don't bother.. unless your dog is already gentle with plush style toys, you're just gonna end up with expensive stuffing on the floor!

Awful!

I spent £50 on these for my dogs. They arrived with stitching already undone. When I complained they suggested I sew it up! I asked for a refund as I know it won't last two minutes but they refused. So im stuck with rubbish i can't give my dogs. AVOID!!!!!!

A 2 but

It's a 2 as I do still like it and have a sewing kit. But our greyhound ripped it within 5 minutes. But he loves it, so I'll keep it and keep sewing it up, like I do with other toys.

I like the velcro ripping thing and so does my greyhound.

Very happy dog

I bought the XL cute toofs for my dog who is part Great Dane , part bulldog. She loves tearing them apart. After a week, one side of the velcro sections did come adrift so i contacted the company with photos. The were very good and sent a full replacement.
Ive bought another now. The only issue is picking all the sections up and re fitting them HaHa

Great concept, Weak execution for the cost

Great concept, lacking quality in execution. I bought 2 of the terrible XL originally as they were out of the virus. It’s good but hard to hold onto for a toy meant for interactive play. And my boys got bored quickly. I thought the virus would be better with more to pull and it was good for the first few minutes. Also hard to hold for tug play. And on the virus the Velcro felt weaker and some of the holes for the Velcro were crazy deep for reattachment. Also, of the two virus I bought, one came out of the package with an open seam on the blue outer layer. Again, they’re not the worst toy and it’s a great concept but weak execution for how expensive they are. Probably won’t buy again or recommend to friends. Spent way too much for what I got buying four of them.

Had holes within 10 minutes

This sounded like a great idea, as our 9month old Romanian rescue is a tearer/shredder and has chewed holes and removed ears, tails etc from all plush toys to the point they had to be thrown. However, within 5-10 minutes of having it she had not removed anything via the Velcro, but had ripped two holes in its ears! Not worth the money and just another toy that she can’t have access to or will be thrown away as a choking hazard!

Very happy with the purchase

Ordered on Wednesday evening, it arrived by Royal Mail on Saturday. Well packaged (although I would have preferred less plastic packaging within the cardboard box) and my dog loves his toy. He's has been removing limbs constantly for the past couple of hours whilst I keep re-attaching them for him.
The toy is quite solid and I'm not convinced he'll be able to squeak it (it's the tiny size) - I understand it needs to be a tough toy but maybe the squeaker could bigger so it's easier to squeak?
Either way my dog loves it and I'm happy with the purchase!

Anything goes wrong with delivery don't expect the company to deal with it

Ordered 2 of the toys after seeing them on social media. Dispatched quickly but then the order disappeared into a black hole. Tried contacting the company after a week they finally got in touch to say they would find out what had happened. That is the last I have heard from them. Thankfully bought via PayPal who they also aren't corresponding with. Just waiting to get my money back over a month later
You've been warned

My dogs are in love

I got two of these toys and my dogs are obsessed with them. They’re well made. My pups are tearing them apart multiple times a day and there is no damage on them so far. We initially got one in the wrong size (it was too large) and the company exchanged it for us without any issues. We’ll definitely buy again.

Company refuse refunds and overcharge

I liked the idea of this product after seeing it advertised on social media. My dog only had this for 5 minutes and there was a hole in it. He's never gone through any toy this quickly before! I paid more money expecting it to be good quality and to last. They cost £25 for a standard medium sized toy, plus postage so aren't cheap. I've just threw £40 down the drain because I've bought two and they don't refund, just offer one replacement which is useless to me because it will also end up going in the bin. I understand dogs ruin toys but they could see it had literally only just been delivered! Disappointed because it looked good on the advertising and the idea is good but it needs to be better quality for what they are charging people.
