AVOID. If I could give this 0 stars I would.
I have never in my life experienced such poor service. I’m honestly not sure how they are still in business.
I didn’t read the reviews before going here, I can now see I’m not the only one who has had an experience like this.
I took my laptop to this shop in PERFECT condition.
I was told he would have a look and phone me. I received no phone call so went back to the shop to collect it. He told me again he would have a look and call me.
I was working in ongar so it was convenient to use this shop.
He phoned and left a voicemail, he said it would be £95. I said no I will come and collect it.
When I came to collect it he told me actually he thinks it’s something else, to leave it with him a couple of days.
It’s been over 2 weeks at this point.
I specifically him to call or text me to let me know the price BEFORE doing any work on my laptop.
I heard nothing. So I went to the shop to collect it, another guy served me and told me he had fixed the laptop and it would cost £80 - which I had never agreed to.
I offered to pay £50 for the work (over my budget however I appreciate they had fixed the problem and that was the most I was able to pay)
He then took 20 minutes to find my laptop.
At this point I was late to my appointment (I didn’t realise picking up a laptop would take such a long time) I did not check the laptop before leaving because of this.
It didn’t cross my mind that it would be damaged as they are a “professional business”.
When I came to collect the laptop;
- he couldn’t find the laptop
- the laptop was out of the case
- the case was on the floor covered in dust
- I was given a dirty old charger - not the one I left them with.
I called the shop within 2-3 minutes of collecting the laptop as I opened it when I got to my car to find it dirty, with a password and with a huge dent and scratch.
He told me the password and to send photos of the damage.
I came straight back to the shop after my appointment to get a refund which the guy said he was unable to issue and to come back another day.
Which I did today. Again the person dealing with laptop who I believe is the owner of the shop was not there.
I have lost count of the amount of times I have had to come back and forth to this shop it is SO disorganised it’s unbelievable.
I then missed a call from the owner followed by a what’s app message:
“Please don't shout in the shop in my absence on my worker. There will be no refund for the job we have done already in fact you didn't pay the full balance that we asked to pay for the job. We are not responsible for any scratches or marks for any device as you checked the time of collection and there was no scratch on your MacBook for sure after you left the shop we are not responsible for anything apart from the job we did for software/reset. So I'm making it clear there will be no refund for sure. Let me know if I can help you with anything else. Thank you”
Just to clarity I never shouted at anyone.
I have honestly never had such poor service, it’s shocking.
