The technician came to my house to set…

The technician came to my house to set up my ecobee thermostat. He didn’t know how to do it and his conclusion was that I had to replace the HVAC module. And it would cost me 700 cad. The next day, another technician, from another company came and fixed my problem in 10 minutes. Do not trust this company. They charged me 200 cad for a, let me say, wrong assesment. And refuse to refund me. I will email ecobee about this situation.

Would not recommend

My experience with Techeasy was disappointing. I purchased an Ecobee doorbell and was getting a low‑power error, but the technician couldn’t fully address it because he was allergic to attic insulation—an issue that prevented him from accessing the transformer. He did replace my chime and connector, but the overall service felt unprofessional. Despite booking online, he twice tried to reschedule simply because he was already in the area. He also dismissed my $35 Amazon chime as incompatible and sold me a lower‑end chime for $79 plus a replacement connector for another $79, which felt like a steep markup. I would not recommend this company.

I purchased a doorbell camera and paid for installation…

I purchased a doorbell camera and paid for the installation through Techeasy. I contacted them through their website and set up an appointment after which they confirmed the appointment with instructions on things I must do before they arrive, which I did. They did not come. They did not call to say they were not coming. I contact the customer service by phone and I was told they would contact me either that day in the afternoon or the next day. The next week after no contact with them I tried making another appointment online and got confirmation of the appointment. They did not come nor they contact me. I contacted the Doorbell company to explain and they contacted Techeasy and was promised Techeasy would contact me that day. Nothing. I have suggested the doorbell camera company look for an alternative company to work with since Techeasy does not care about their business and is not someone they should be working with for the future.

Terrible service

Terrible service. Stay away from them. As part of an Ecobee product purchase, I was connected with TechEasy for the install. I was given a 6am-8am Window. No one showed. I emailed and called (straight to voicemail but didn't hear back). No response to emails either. The technician calls me at 9AM and said he arrived. He was given the wrong time. I had to rebook. I got confirmations about the rebooking too. On the second day no one showed. Stay away from TechEasy. find a local person

I paid my deposit to install my ecobee…

I paid my deposit to install my ecobee thermostat but after I've paid I've received no further support and it's complete silence from them for two weeks. As I'm writing this review, I still haven't received a phone call or an email like they said they would. DO NOT USE

Ecobee subcontracts this company for…

Ecobee subcontracts this company for their installation, the technician did an okay job but the more I look into the website and look into reviews, I wish Ecobee would offer better installation service. The technician was late by a 3-4 hours. I paid $500+ and the wire connections were not twisted to ensure they don't disconnect. I ended up having to go back over some of the work to make sure the cameras didn't disconnect. Buyer beware. There's not much transparency with this company- Techeasy.

Incompetent crooks, stay away!

So Ecobee recommended these clowns for installation of their thermostat. The installation cost seemed reasonable, a little over 100 bucks. So I pay (in advance online!) and a tech calls me to set up an appointment. During the call he casually mentions, "if you live in a condo, it may cost you about 100 bucks extra" because of this and that, to which I replied that this was never mentioned on the page where the service was ordered.

I called the company to request another technician as the one who called clearly lacked any integrity and I didn't want to deal with him. So another guy is sent for the appointment, who after looking at that old thermostat for 5 minutes, concludes "your AC system is incompatible". I did check with the docs from Ecobee and made sure that my AC system was compatible, but if you are faced with an incompetent "technician", what do you do? So there go $26 and time wasted for the visit.

On the same day I found a technician on Task Rabbit who came the following day and installed the thermostat for less than an hour and cost of $75.
