Excellent Customer service

Staff is great, patient and transparent.
Prices are reasonable.
They did take a little bit of time, but it's understandable because they had to source the part. I was even suggested a nice temporary phone that was perfect for my needs in the meanwhile, so they really know their stuff!
I thought I'll be charged a bomb looking at the damage but they only charged me for the parts. M51 Phone is as good as new.
Can't complain, I'm grateful and wish the staff and store the best of luck.

Solved a Windows PC Problem

I thought I had contracted a virus on my Dell PC. I was relieved when TechStar told me that a graphics card had packed up. Worried that other bits were also on the way out, I've replaced the PC. TechStar very kindly offered to recycle the original.
Please note that the address here is wrong - TechStar Castletroy is in Caherdavin.

They should be called Tech Zero star

They should be called Tech Zero star, I took in my son's Samsung tablet in January as it was not charging, the staff on the day advised it would be a 35e diagnostic charge and that usually, they would change the screen and battery but only charge for whatever one was causing the issue, it should take between 5-10 days to fix.
I paid up and left the tablet with them, a week later I ring up and was told they changed the screen but that did not resolve the issue and they would order a battery and which could be another week, so I ring the following week only to be told no battery in yet to give it another week, this went on for 7 weeks so I eventually give up and told them I would be on the weekend to collect the tablet.
I arrive in only to be told the tablet is not ready as it needs to be put back together again and if it would be okay for them to post it out to me, again I agreed.
A week later still no tablet so I go back in to collect again this time to be told that the battery was put back together but as they have replaced the screen I would either need to pay for that (NO CHANCE) or they can put back on my old screen, only problem was they did not have an engineer to put back on old screen so they will post it out next week, it has been over 2 months now and I still do not have a tablet, I have long since given up on them repairing it at this stage I just want the tablet back with all its original parts.
I will never deal with this company again

I have fixed the screen guard and there was large bubbles on it even after following the installation steps.

I have fixed and used screen guards and I'm familiar with the method to fix it on different phones. This I ordered to fix on my own phone and I should say the screen guard had plenty of large ( not small ones) bubbles beneath it which was not disappearing even after trying to eliminate by finger pressing on it.

I tried to remove and refix but he screen guard was broken. It was a total waste of money for me not because it broke but because of the number of large bubbles on it.

Cost effective, professional repairs

Repairs to my Note 9 were cheap, done quickly and with minimal issues.

The repairman initially broke the back of my phone by accident but subsequently repaired it for free.

Friendly and easy-going service, happy to recommend to anyone.

Hauewi phone screen broke so I brought…

Hauewi phone screen broke so I brought phone to castletroy branch for phone to fixed. A new screen was placed on phone. Less than 12 hours later the new screen had cracked. I took the phone back to the shop and the shop refused to do anything. They offered to replace screen at a cost of 90euro. The first screen cost me 100euro. Complete rip off merchant avoid at all costs. The screen they sold me was clearly faulty as it cracked with few hours of purchase and with minimal use of phone.

5 weeks waiting to find out how long my screen repair might actually take

My Laptops been with Techstar Castletroy for 5 weeks for a screen repair. From the last time I called into them a few days ago I believe there's been some issue with sorting the part which I'd have been very understanding about if I wasn't given a different excuse and deadline everytime I speak to them. I was originally told the repair would take a week and if anything changed id be contacted. After the deadline passed I rang them again and was told it may take a few days. Since then I've been told different stories such as they have the part and it will only take another day and that the part is stuck in customs the following week and my laptop has been sent to a different store. As a student preparing for my final exams next week I couldn't think of a worse experience. If id known it would take this long there is no way I would have left my laptop with techstar as the lack of honesty I've received from their staff members has had a horrible impact on my college work. If there was some sort of indication a screen repair might take 5+ weeks to complete i would've assumed they'd feel the need to update their customers but for techstar they have no hassle lying to and delaying customers. Even if I have a simple issue in the future I will refrain from using techstar ever again

Sent in my iPad because I could not…

Sent in my iPad because I could not charge it they had it for 6 weeks and kept telling me they were waiting for someone to fix it eventually I gave up and took it back but when I got it back the thumb bottom was changed to a cheaper button and my battery was changed as well very angry and disappointed

Great service

Ordered a gaming desk 3 days before Christmas .I was very apprehensive I wouldn’t receive the gaming desk in time for 25th December for my son.Ordered before 1pm on 22nd and at 1.15pm dpd had it and I got a tracking number.It arrived the next morning-was delighted would definitely recommend .

I recently bought a new laptop in Tech…

I recently bought a new laptop in Tech Star Castletroy and dealt with STEPHEN. He gave me excellent service and sorted out all my teething problems hooking it up to my laptop. I had to go back three times (my fault, not Stephen's) and he couldn't have been more accommodating. I have no hesitation in recommending them particularly with superb after sales back up.
