TEFL Jobs Abroad is a safe and good site to use
TEFL Jobs Abroad is a safe and good site to use. Never had any issues and would even say one if not THE best job board I've come across thus far in my 10+ years that I've been involved in the TEFL world. Sure there is a premium fee involved to use their premium job boards, but you have to understand why they to do that before making any assumptions. Hence you should read through the premium section to understand why they have these additional premium features. Otherwise, just stick to their free TEFL job board which is also fine, even though it's not getting updated as often as the premium ones. I paid the premium fee and used that website on a few occasions before and after the corona crisis came up. Can't say that I'm disappointed at all because I found a great job through them three times already and don't even have a teaching degree or any other degree for that matter. However, I finished an on-ste 120 hour TEFL course in Spain in summer of 2019. My main focus was on teaching jobs in the Caribbean and I received lucrative offers from several schools and also couple of recruitment agencies. The best thing with tefl jobs abroad is that they are not a recruitment agency or even deal with agencies, they have a huge network of schools around the world and provide free and premium job boards which puts English teachers in direct contact with the schools that are hiring. This can safe you huge recruitment agency fees. Needless to say, recruitment agencies typically charge huge fees or even monthly cuts off your salary and are certainly a lot more expensive than the one off premium fee to use the premium job boards on the tefl jobs abroad website. I have just recently signed a teaching contract with a school in Jamaica and I'll start teaching there in mid November this year (2025). Can't wait to get there and to escape the cold american winter up here in Main, and dive into a new culture and to meet new people. And yes, I also secured that job throgh tefl jobs abroad. On the down side, perhaps their support could be a bit better or faster, as it takes them sometimes a little longer to reply to inquiries, and I would have enjoyed a chat support or live help option for better communication. But the bottom line is they are totally legit and certainly saves teachers a lot of time and efforts when it comes to searching for a decent teaching job in reputable schools. So I would give them four stars out of five, if they'd improve the support options for teachers in the future it'll be five out of five
