Horrible company

Horrible company. They want your business to sign you up. Then give you defective equipment and won’t change it. I even had their modem go out during a business meeting. Horrible service

I didn't ask for this thing now it's my responsibility to get it back to you?

I scheduled a tech to come to my house and instead they sent me a modem and when I called them to ask where the tech was, they told me they had it booked as a self install. I cancelled because they either can't or won't send someone to my house to actually set up the infrastructure required for this modem to work and they have made returning this thing such a nightmare. They said I can just bring the it to a post office and they will scan a code but the post office said they don't do that. They keep saying they will send me a return label in the mail and then they just email it to me and expect me to print it myself which honestly I could, I have a printer, it's just a hassle to set up and I don't feel like I should have to since I never asked for this thing. I asked you to send a tech.

I'd give zero stars if possible

I'd give zero stars if possible. We attempted to set up internet at our new home. Punched in the address and all seemed good to go. We were supposed to have it set-up Jan. 20th between 10-12. At approximately 4, we hadn't received any update from them. We called and was then informed that they don't service our address. After they had already sent the modem, and after we had already waited a week for the installation. They then asked us to send the modem back...on our own. We asked if they could pick it up since it was their fault for not telling us our address wasn't serviceable and they told us we would be charged if they didn't get the modem back. Shitty customer service and we'll never know how the internet was...but it probably also sucks.

TekSavvy Frequent downtime, Not recommended

I used to like TekSavvy because of their reliable network. Sadly, since last year we have experienced about 20 or more down times. It is even worse in 2025. They seem to be overselling and not doing enough to expand their network. Very disappointed. It is time to look for alternatives. Their technical support are polite and friendly but they have no solution whatsoever. All they will tell you is that a technician will be at your home in about 5 days. If you work at home, TekSavvy is not for you.

Slower internet

Slower internet for the same price of bigger and better companies, with gimmick promotions to only raise the price on you randomly. Waste of time and money.

Misleading, Inconvenient and Unapologetic

So I signed up online (easy process). When the time comes for activation they had the wrong date, when I called to clear that up they then told me that they would need to send a technician to complete the install (despite the fact it was clearly stated that it was a remote activation)....But couldn't confirm when a technician would be available.

After a week of no internet and calling them to follow up, they informed they could not provide service to my address and asked me to send their modem back.

I am located in Calgary Alberta

I recently joined Teksavvy

I recently joined Teksavvy, and while the initial setup with the Bell technician wasn’t fully completed, Teksavvy’s customer support team stepped in and made all the difference. After a few troubleshooting calls, the final representative I spoke with gave their full attention to my issue and ensured everything was properly connected before ending the call.

I’m genuinely grateful to have switched to Teksavvy. Leaving my previous provider was the right decision, and it feels good to support a smaller company that truly values its customers. Their commitment to excellent customer service aligns perfectly with my expectations for any company I choose to do business with. Plus, wait times on calls have been minimal, which is a refreshing change.

Highly recommend Teksavvy to anyone looking for outstanding service and support!

Absolute worst internet service I've…

Absolute worst internet service I've ever had by a mile. Worse than literal dial up. Then the greedy people running the company think they deserve to increase prices? Are you joking? Try getting a product that isn't throttled or straight up offline 20/24 hours of the day first. What a joke. Calling it dogshit would be a compliment. Get ready to reset your router everyday. Nonstop problems but you run an internet speed test or call them about it being throttled and it instantly is fixed and then they tell you there's no throttling or issues. Somehow every other customer I've talked to sees the same problems that the company denied exists, curious almost like they're lying or something.

Cancel your service if you have it they are a scam.

Billing Issuse

*** WARNING *** Be very careful with providing Teksavvy your credit card information. They can't be trusted with it. They will randomly charge your card, when they are NOT authorized to do so, and customer service was a complete joke when I called them out on the issue. Other than that, the internet is ok. Also, some agents are hit and miss when it comes to customer service requests.

I am considering going back to TekSavvy…

I am considering going back to TekSavvy after having issues with one of the larger companies. I've had no issues with TekSavvy at all. They are responsive, easy to connect with, knowledgeable, and the service is great. It may be a little slower service now than the larger companies because they rent the lines from the other, but at a less per month rate, it's worth it.

Excellent customer service

Excellent customer service, very easy to call. Knowledgeable agents who are very easy to speak with. Not at all pushy and trying to upsell you services. But the service wasn't good. Slow, had issues connecting. Too many times blacking out.

I called because they had a great deal…

I called because they had a great deal on interent service. The customer service rep was very polite and helpful. She told me the tech would be out the next day because we couldn't get the modem to work. She emailed saying he would come between 8 and 12 or 12 to 2 or 2 to 4.. Then emailed and called saying he would come between 12 and 2 the next day. Then the tech called the next day at 1145 and asked if he could come in 5 minutes. He came and found out the line we were trying was wrong line, so he searched the house and found a line we could use. He was there for about 45 minutes, he was polite and helpful. Then the next day I got a call from the customer service rep just asking if my service was ok. The internet works great. I have never had a company email and phone me the day of and the day after. Very good customer service. Recommend them for sure.

Service gone down the drain

Been with them around 14 years and the service was excellent for 13 of those. More recently my own modem HAD to be replaced with a Teksavvy modem sent from the USA. That was the first red flag. I had some outages since and dealt with their "new" tech line that seemed to be offshore. Some rude interaction from this new type Teksavvy. Today I woke to find my internet was not online. When I restored it the next thing I read was a mail announcing an increase in charge. The service deterioration from Teksavvy in just a few months led me to immediately decide to terminate and change to another Canadian based ISP once more. My new ISP modem was just delivered (in 9 hours) and I will sadly say goodbye to Teksavvy and their new ways forever.

teksavvy used to have advantage of…

teksavvy used to have advantage of offering low speed internet at a low charge. But now the other companies offer cheaper price for high speed internet, teksavvy seems ridiculous to offer low speed internet at a high price. Once you start the plan, they made it hard to switch to a cheaper one if they have a promotion. I stayed with with them for a few years and now I'm leaving.

Extremely frustrating to deal with…

Extremely frustrating to deal with teksavvy so far. Moved to a new home and had set up an internet connection date with over a months notice, only to be told it could take 4 more days to get the internet activated and they wouldn't even guarantee that. Their call center is easy to get ahold of and seem friendly enough, but ultimately can't deliver on anything they've said. I was told twice that because my service is piggypacking off of another provider (Rogers), teksavvy has to wait for Roger's to activate my connection and mistakenly nobody asked Roger's to activate it. I work from home so this has been a complete fail. If you're looking for reliable service, I'd look elsewhere.

I’ve had a very frustrating experience…

I’ve had a very frustrating experience with TekSavvy. While the people in the call center are always friendly and polite, the service regarding getting my internet set up has been horrible. I’ve been waiting 15 days for an internet connection, and the technician simply did not show up. I’ve called daily, and while the customer service representatives are nice, they are unable to provide any clear answers or updates on when the technician will come because it's handled by an external vendor.

This situation has been incredibly inconvenient, especially since I work from home and rely on a stable internet connection. Right now, I’m left using my phone’s data or spending an hour commuting to the office every day because I can’t work from home. It’s extremely frustrating, and I’m very disappointed in the lack of communication and resolution.

Didn’t Work For Me

Saw TechSavvy’s giant billboards everywhere in Winnipeg and thought I would give them a try after years of unhappy service from you know who. Definitely didn’t work for me. Waited the wntire day at home on two separate occasions for an installer to come. No installer or even a call, on either day. Spent countless hours on phone & chat as well, all a complete waste of my time. Took another month ish to get a refund, including more calls & chat. All in all a big waste of time. And I thought Sh*w was bad lol. Not sure what’s wrong with this outfit as they look professional but they were far from that in my experience. Good luck if you try em!
