I must confess I never wanted an alarm…
I must confess I never wanted an alarm and felt it was intrusive and it would make me feel inadequate.
After my friend & neighbour researched it and explained the benefits and the fact it was like having someone with me 24/7 looking over me , my guardian angel after a few days I dont even notice it's around my wrist and yet I feel safe knowing if I fall again this time I will get the help I need instead of lying on the floor for hours helpless and fearing the worse .
It has given me confidence in living ,y life to the full.

Base unit activating itself!
On 3 occasions when I have tested my unit as instructed, the device has activated itself the following day. The wrist unit did NOT go off, just the base unit. I was told that this cannot happen. It did, 3 times and I logged it on my calendar. On one occasion I was with a friend and she confirmed that the wrist unit had NOT activated. Telecare at no time have even considered that there might be a fault with their unit. Presumably this is so that they never have to issue a refund. The equipment has been returned and consequently I am out of pocket - as per their Terms and Conditions. Disgusting that there is nothing in those Terms that gives the Customer any rights in the event of faulty equipment. Telecare response below doesn't address the issue of the base unit going off without the wrist device being activated.

UPDATE:
The base unit won't trigger an alert on its own, it always responds to a signal from the fall sensor. These alerts can also be caused by an accidental trigger. You can find more details about how the fall sensor and the base unit work in the user guide and the leaflet provided with your alarm. That said, we strongly recommend giving our support team a call! They will be more than happy to review your alert history with you and talk through how our alarm works.

To help clarify how the equipment works, our Pendant Alarm and Fall Alarm plans do not have a built-in microphone or speaker on the wearable device itself. Instead, the base unit features an integrated microphone and a loudspeaker, which is how our team communicates with you when an alarm is triggered. If you ever have trouble hearing us when we speak through the base unit, the volume on the speaker can easily be turned up remotely by our care team—just let us know.
We have checked your account call history and can see that you tested the system today. Everything went through just fine, and the device is working exactly as it should.
We want you to have complete peace of mind with your service. If you have any further concerns or questions about how the device works, please don't hesitate to give us a call on 0800 180 85 40, we're always here to help.

Pendant alarm service
Have used Telecare for last 10 years an always been happy with the service. I had thought changing over to digital with new equipment etc would be a problem but they are so helpful when you call everything went well.
