Unplugging the unit affects its timer, which is not ideal ..
The light unit itself is superb. Couldn't fault it if I tried. But not so sure about the app and some of its features.
The user interface looks sweet enough, but it took a while to figure out how it operates.
I was also thinking, how about give users some clue within the app on how each light setting/ intensity affects the plant, or at which point in the grow cycle should different light settings be used?
However, my main gripe is with the app's timer. It works fine, until you unplug the light, say for when you want to get your tomatoes out on a sunny day and save a bit of electricity.
The issue I find is that its timer programme stops timing when you unplug the unit. And when plugged back in, the timer continues from the moment the unit’s been unplugged, not from your current time. I find it a pain as it requires a brand new timer setup, which is not as straight forward as you might think.
But the light itself is truly mind blowing. I can’t believe so much light at such low wattage!? Negligible heat too.

With respect to your timer issue, I can gladly say in the next app update we will be adding the real-time clock functionality which will act as a backup and save the time for 24 hours in the event that power is removed from the light. This update is expected August 1st, 2022.
The real-time clock backup is designed for protection in the case of a power cut, for just turning he power off mid schedule, there’s a better way of doing this than removing power. Simply pressing the touch sensor and cycling through to “green mode”, which will place the light in standby mode – your settings will remain saved and the light will remain switched off. When you want it to return to the schedule, cycle back through to “blue mode” (Bluetooth mode).
