spent over $7000 on a mattress within 12 months mattress started sagging deforming was denied a claim because it was not sagging enough waited a year filed. A claim company admitted mattress was sagging enough to replace however there were. Stains on mattress protector approximately the size of golf ball I sent pictures showing they did not penetrate. They still denied due to standing their warranty is nothing but smoke and and mirrors stay away from this company. Purple, however, seems to actually warrantee their products.

Lost Customer of 30 Years

I have been a customer of Temper-pedic for 30 years. My whole family has mattresses, pillows and sheet sets. A disabled family member ordered the luxe sheet set and the quality is terrible. Gone downhill dramatically. He did not realize they were non refundable. I called the help line and they refused to return the unopened sheets under any circumstances. Tempur-Pedic needs to take responsibility for the dramatic downturn in quality and refuses to do so. Do not buy under any circumstances. They’ve lost a customer (entire family) of 30 years instead of choosing to do the right thing. Zero stars.

The website and the product description…

The website and the product description are misleading. The homepage indicates there is a 90-day risk free trial. This is only for mattresses, and not for toppers. The toppers are not refundable due to 'personal use.' A mattress also has 'personal use.' We purchased the king-sized adapt mattress topper with the cover and the heating/cooling feature because it was touted as reducing transference. We slept on it once and it did nothing for transference at all. I called the next day, was disconnected twice, and eventually told it was not refundable. A waste of $500.00.

Tempur-pedic does not honor their warranty buyer beware

I purchased a tempur-pedic mattress in 2016 and paid over $8000 for it. After two years, the mattress started sagging. I called on the warranty and sent pictures of my saggy mattress. I was told it wasn't sagging enough to be replaced. I reached out to anyone that I could to show the severity of the dip and that it would only get worse over the years. I was still denied. Fast-forward to this year, where I have developed back problems because of the severe sagging. It naturally continued to get worse through the years. I reached out again with pictures and was told that there was a liquid stain on the mattress. As a result of warranty is voided. There isn't a stain on the mattress. The mattress was purchased in 2016. It is now 2025 and the mattress naturally does not hold its bright white color. There are no stains. They of course denied my claim and will not honor the warranty.
Unfortunately, after researching, I have found many people with the same problem. Tempur-pedic refuses to cover their warranty and will always find a reason why. If I knew this from the beginning, I would have never spent this amount of money on a tempur-pedic

We put in a claim a month ago because…

We put in a claim a month ago because the head of our mattress wouldn't raise up anymore. It has been a month and nothing has been done to fix this problem. My husband and I both have bad backs, which is the reason why we bought the bed, so for a month we've been suffering with this bad bed problem. I called today and they said the part was on backorder. As far as I know, this is supposed to be made in the United States. If you have a problem with the part and you have an order that needs to be filled, Why aren't you making the part ?

1-Star Review — Tempur-Pedic Mattress - Purchased at Ashley HomeStore, Miami FL, April 2025

I’m writing this in the hope of saving someone else from the costly mistake my fiancée and I made. We purchased Temperpedic’s top of the line Adapter Collection Medium Firm.

What we bought & why
• Model / price: Queen-size Tempur-Pedic Adapt Collection mattress, roughly $3,399.
• Reason for purchase: The Ashley HomeStore sales rep assured both of us—repeatedly—that this mattress would “fix” my chronic lower-back pain. On the strength of that promise, we upgraded from a cheaper model to the top-tier Tempur-Pedic and purchased the required mattress-protector bundle.

Our experience after 60+ nights
• We followed every instruction: kept the mattress on a solid base, used the protector, and endured the recommended 30-night “break-in.”
• Instead of relief, both of us now wake up stiff and sore. My back pain is worse than it was on our old budget mattress. My fiancée, who never had back issues, now has morning pain as well.

Customer-service run-around
1. Ashley HomeStore (Miami)—Would not allow a second exchange, citing their one-time 90-night Sleep Guarantee (which we unknowingly used up on the first swap).
2. Ashley Corporate—Confirmed the store’s refusal and offered zero alternatives.
3. Tempur-Pedic Support—Sympathetic but said they can’t help because the sale “falls under the retailer’s policy.” They referred me back to Ashley, completing the circle.

Where that leaves us
• $3,500+ in debt (financed through the store)
• Two people with back pain every morning
• No practical way to return, exchange, or even get meaningful technical support

Bottom line

If you’re considering a Tempur-Pedic, do not rely on sales promises about pain relief, and be aware that Ashley’s single-exchange rule leaves you with no safety net. Spend your money with a retailer—and on a brand—that stands behind its comfort claims. With no help from neither Ashley Home Furniture Store nor Tempurpedic, I strongly recommend against purchasing

Lack of basic safeguards and accountability from Tempur-Pedic

I ordered a mattress protector from Tempur-Pedic’s official website (Order #320267694950) on June 27, 2025. Due to a small input error—an extra “.com” at the end of my email—I never received a confirmation or tracking email. I also accidentally selected the wrong size, but without a confirmation screen or follow-up email, I had no way to catch or correct it before the non-refundable item shipped.

Tempur-Pedic’s support team reviewed my case but ultimately dismissed it as a one-off user error. They stated the system “worked as expected,” despite the fact that their checkout flow does not validate malformed email addresses or prompt users to confirm non-refundable selections—features that are standard in most modern e-commerce platforms.

This isn’t just a UX issue—it raises concerns about PCI DSS compliance and overall quality assurance. Robust input validation and order confirmation safeguards exist to protect customers from exactly these kinds of preventable mistakes.

I’m not writing this out of frustration over a return—I’m disappointed that a premium brand refuses to acknowledge or correct a clear flaw in their process.

Pit of Doom

Pit of Doom: Tempur-Pedic ProAdapt Medium Is a Bust!
I paid over $4,000 for a Tempur-Pedic ProAdapt Medium, and within 2 years it turned into a hot, sagging pit. I woke up sore every morning, stuck in a crater that only got deeper. When I filed a warranty claim, they accused me of altering the photos I submitted — even though I followed all their instructions. What’s worse? A sales rep at Mattress Firm actually told me: “Oh, you bought the ProAdapt Medium? Yeah, it didn’t hold up too good.” That says it all. I later found out dozens of other customers have had the exact same problem — early sagging, pitting, and warranty runarounds. Just search Reddit, Google, or mattress review sites and you’ll see it’s a known issue.
Tempur-Pedic sells premium-priced mattresses that don’t last — and then refuses to honor their warranty when the product fails. I’ll never buy another Tempur product again. I’ve switched to Saatva HD, and I’m finally sleeping without fear of being swallowed by memory foam.

Very Disappointed

⸻

I have been a loyal Tempur-Pedic customer for many years. Four months ago, I purchased a new bed for my fiancé and me. Unfortunately, one of the legs recently broke off from the screw, despite the bed being relatively new.

When I contacted customer service, I was informed that because we purchased a floor model at a discounted price of $4,500, the product was not covered under warranty. This was never made explicitly clear at the time of purchase.

While trying to resolve the issue, our representative, Eric, informed us that we could not replace just the broken leg—we would need to purchase a full set of six. Additionally, the email we received listed the cost of labor and parts as $89. However, during a follow-up phone call, we were told that labor was not included and that there would be an additional $135 charge for a technician visit.

Given the significant investment we made and my long-standing relationship with your brand, I am very disappointed in how this situation has been handled. I expected better support and clearer communication from a company of Tempur-Pedic’s reputation.

Deceptive Return Policy on Pillows. Should Clearly State They're FINAL SALE

Their return policy is deceptively hidden when you purchase pillows and should very clearly state ON THE PURCHASE SCREEN that no returns or exchanges of any kind are possible once you hit 'purchase.'
I mistakenly ordered two pillows in the wrong size and cannot even so much as exchange them. I opened the package within minutes of it being delivered and saw the size was not as I expected so referred back to my purchase confirmation email to see that I bought the wrong size. Called the company immediately to explain the issue and request an exchange. I was told in no uncertain terms that there is absoluely nothing that can be done and that I should've read the return policy before purchasing. Please note that the consumer has to click a separate link on the purchase page to be taken to the return policy - the actual policy is nowhere on the product or purchasing pages. This is deceptive and deceitful and has all the feels of being a complete scam. The supervisor I spoke to on the phone told me this has been the return policy for 20 years which means they've been taking advantage of people for two decades! I simply want to return my unopened, unused pillows for a larger size and theres nothing that can be done. Unacceptable. The Return Policy terms are ambiguous at best and the product & purchase pages should very clearly state that all pillow sales are final with NO exceptions!

Circulating for zero service

Again, just like Sleep Country, the one star is here is to write a review
Given the product was purchased in Sleep Country, therefore all service or claim will be brushed off by Sleep Country and got referred to Tempur-Pedic, and just like Sleep Country, they give zero services on claims, no matter how many times calling their 1-800 line, it was just a circulation that goes to nowhere, but your product will still sit in your home broken, all about anxiety.
Overall, suggest buying from other company, avoid them.

Doesn’t last

Our first mattress lasted less than 2 years and had a 3 foot crack on both sides of the bed where people slept. We never saw it with the multiple covered layers that come with the mattress, until I was fed up enough to look deeper. We’re one of the few people on here whose warranty claim was granted. However, there’s a $175 shipping fee. Also, the only way to be granted a warranty request is through email. There is no one to verbally talk to. If they send you to the escalations department, you can tell within the first minute if they want to be helpful or not. I’d just hang up until I reached someone friendly. Overall, I would not buy a tempurpedic again due to the lack of durability and poor warranty department.

Tempur-Pedic is a shell of a once great company

Tempur-Pedic is a shell of a once great company that now only cares about money. Tempur-Pedic does a great job hiring people that deny warranty claims. They regurgitate the same "we find nothing wrong" statements. I had discoloration in sheets and a mattress protector that would not stay tight and had wrinkles and shifting.

From Tempurpedic's website, the warranties for both items in question, NOWHERE is my issues excluded from the list.

The mattress protector, designed to perform as described on mattresses 8-16 inches depth, DOES NOT stay tight and eliminate shifting and wrinkles AS DESCRIBED ON TEMPURPEDICS WEBSITE. FALSE ADVERTISING OR MANUFACTURER DEFECT!

The sheets warranty CLEARLY STATES: "Tempur-Pedic North America, LLC warrants to the original purchaser that the accompanying product will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 1 year from the date of the original retail sales receipt" "If during the warranty period, this product is found to be defective because of defects in materials or workmanship, the product will be replaced without charge." AND NOWHERE IS THERE A LISTED EXCLUSION FOR FADING/DISCOLORATION

Tempur-Pedic refuses to stand behind their products and deny valid warranty claims. So if they continue to "stand by their decisions", then I will do the same and make certain to make it my mission to ensure Tempurpedic loses as many customers as possible.

Tempurpedic is literally admitting that the decision of the Warranty Team is to reject a valid warranty claim; which means the company is practicing false advertising on their products and denying claims that are not part of any listed exclusions.

Because Tempur-Pedic refuses to approve a valid warranty claim, I will no longer be a loyal customer of 30 years. I am sure competitive brands will genuinely appreciate another customer.

Warranty is an empty marketing ploy

Do NOT ever consider purchasing a Tempur-Pedic mattress. The promises of a 10 year warranty are nothing more than a sham… an empty promise… a marketing ploy to make you feel comfortable paying for their hefty price tag. 9.25 years into the 10 year warranty, I have a massive problem: a massive 1.5-2 inch depression in the mattress (at its worst). The warranty team will not stand by their product because they state that they can see liquid damage on the bed and there is not. I do not see it, not does anyone who I have showed the pictures to. They refuse to believe that when there is a depression on a white mattress that there will be some shadowing. I even shined a light on the spots where there is depression and the shadow goes away and the color is uniform. They have seen these images as well. Still, they continue to deny the claim. A request to escalate to a supervisor was also ignored on 4 separate occasions. NEVER ever consider Tempur-Pedic for any of their products as they are clearly a dishonest company with no integrity.

Deceitful advertisement and shipping

Ordered a toppernon 3/21/25 but as if 3/28/25, UPS says that they have not received the product. So why Tempurpedic lies by saying it has been shipped? 2ndly if im suppose to receive the topper as published in Tempurpedic website is suppose to be 5-7 business day, how am I suppose to get my topper by 3/31/25 if UPS "Ground" says they have not even received the merchandise as of 3/28/25.

VERY DECEITFUL ADVERTISEMENT BY TEMPURPEDIC
