Good for memes and GiFs, but incompetent Staff/BOTS

So, I've been dealing with Tenor's bs for a few months now and I've reached my limit. The review process is horrible and unfair; since this was my first time using the site I was uploading my backlog of gifs/memes and waited for review, but after a few uploads they just started mass deleting my stuff for 'Spam', then just today I got this nice little message in my email saying two others were deleted for 'Sexually Explicit Content'.

For context they were literally just the Youtuber Caddicarus aggressively shaking his Switch 2 controller while playing the Nintendo Switch 2 Tech Demo, but his hand was off screen making it look suggestive... which was the entire joke, but the 'staff' still flagged and deleted them.

I would blame the bot but if what the email said is true that they were 'reviewed internally' then Tenor's staff are EXTREAMLY incompetent, it's clearly not explicit in the slightest, it's just a suggestive joke, you see a lot of that on that damn website! I even included what was on his screen so this crap wouldn't happen! Maybe it was the tags that triggered the incompetent bots but at this point it wouldn't matter; 1. I cannot get in contact with them thanks to their confusing and unreliable customer support! 2. There are plenty of Caddy gifs that are just as suggestive yet I GET TARGETED!

Even so, the website is still a good place to upload funny memes/GiFs and get them seen, but don't expect to be treated fairly or expect any lick of common sense!

Unresponsive liars create user annymosity

Previously have really enjoyed this site and the ability to upload my own GIFs which is a massive subculture on one of the social platforms I use regularly. I had even started making a bit of money on the side designing personalized GIFs for other people. They only needed to wait maximum of 2 days once I uploaded the GIF. However, it's been over a week now for my latest batch and when I contacted Tenor directly I got an automated response at first, but then a form email after that. Both simply said there was a backlog and to be patient. The part that really sucks is they continue to advertise that it only takes 2 days at most for the upload to clear. That is complete rubbish, but they don't care. There are completely viable options available, but they just can't be bothered.

They should do one of the following:
1) Address the "backlog" (if it actually exists) with more staff or AI scanning or whatever
2) Remove the pre-approval function from the uploading process and simply review what gets reported
3) provide a more accurate lead time so people can lower their expectations

In addition to whatever option chosen, they should also have a team that issues can ACTUALLY be escalated to because people write bad reviews when they don't feel heard.

Takes way too long to review gifs, deletes gifs that have no reason not to be posted

Takes way too long to review gifs being uploaded and, if it's this time consuming at least give the option to quit or opt out of uploading, so we don't have to spend time waiting. I definitely could have tried on another app, that wasn't so slow. Also, what the hell is the problem with you guys deleting/denying PERFECTLY FINE CONTENT/CLIPS FOR NO REASON, I SUBMITTED OVER 80 OF MY OWN CLIPS AND ONLY GOT 3 BACK, like bro its BLUE LOCK CLIPS. YOU PROBABLY CAN'T NAME ONE SINGLE THING WRONG WITH THE CLIPS AND YOU DELETED THEM OR DIDN'T APPROVE THEM ANYWAYS.

I love using Tenor but…

I love using Tenor and enjoy the huge selection of GIFs – it’s pretty much the same quality as Giphy. BUT lately, there’s been an explosion of crypto scam GIFs, especially promoting “metaversx” from @blazzordnft.

Please, Tenor Team – remove this garbage. This cannot be a legit creator, and a lot of users are seriously annoyed by it.

If you take this down and make sure it doesn’t happen again, I’ll happily change my rating to 4 or 5 stars.

Thanks.

Good Website but changes are needed.

It's a very good website to use when you want to see gifs on the Twitter search bar. It's frustrating when you want to remove certain keywords from what you added when you first uploaded a gif and you can't do it. And you also can't change your username, which is also annoying. I'll give it four stars due to not having certain features sorted out. I'll change it if they eventually change it on the website and app. I want to be able to change my username and remove keywords from a gif that I uploaded.
