The employees are polite. My problem with Terminx involves scheduling. Though I have not been a long term customer I have repeatedly had technicians not show up on the day or at the time that I expect... See more

DO NOT USE TERMINIX
DO NOT USE TERMINIX — Dishonest, Unresponsive, and a Total Waste of Time and Money
We contacted Terminix in early July to resolve a serious bee/wasp issue in the ceiling of our second-floor bedroom. My husband clearly explained the situation to the phone representative, who confirmed that it wouldn’t be a problem. We were told that someone would come out to assess and treat the area since the bees were entering from outside.
A representative (likely a salesperson) came to our home, saw the wasps entering near the eaves on the second floor, and also heard them in our ceiling. He confidently told us they could take care of the problem with no issue. Based on that, we moved forward and paid $300 to schedule the service.
When the technician arrived, I confirmed with him again that he’d be able to reach and treat the second-floor entry point. He reassured me that he had poles long enough to reach and repel the bees. He also told us it may take 2–3 treatments and that we should call him directly if the problem didn’t improve.
After the first treatment, the activity actually increased. We called him, and he came back. This time, he sent a photo of the area he treated — but he was only spraying the first floor, nowhere near the second-floor entry point. We called the office again and explained that the technician wasn’t addressing the actual source of the issue.
On Friday, July 18, we requested to speak with a manager and were told one would call within 24–48 hours. We called again on Sunday and were told by a different rep that “she didn’t know why anyone would confirm we could treat that,” which makes no sense — Terminix is a national pest control company. We were also scheduled for another visit Monday morning.
We were told that a technician and manager would arrive between 7–9 AM on Monday. No one came. I called the office at 9:30 AM and was told there is no appointment for Monday it is Tuesday between 7-9 and she couldn't confirm if a manager was coming out or not.
On Tuesday morning no one called or showed up with a manager present. I called the office at 9:30 and was told the visit was canceled because the technician “over-treated” the area and they needed to wait two weeks to come back. This completely contradicted what the technician had said — that multiple treatments were normal and to call him anytime.
Again, no one came and no one called.
I called every single day from July 21 to July 29 and was repeatedly promised a manager would call me. I never received a single return call. Then I was told that a manager named Edwin or Edward had denied our refund request — and worse, had written false information in our file, claiming that Terminix “can’t go on ladders or treat active infestations,” and that he called us — which he absolutely did not.
When I called again today (July 29), I told the representative that I have proof of everything: our security cameras recorded our in-person conversations, and I’ve recorded all of our phone calls with Terminix. None of this mattered. She confirmed that we would not be getting our money back and told me to stop calling, because “no one is going to call you back.”
We’ve since disputed the charge with our credit card company and filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. We also hired Adaptive Pest Control, and they’ve been the exact opposite of Terminix: professional, responsive, and honest. They’re now handling our full home for pests — no issues, no games.
This has been one of the most frustrating and unprofessional customer service experiences we’ve ever had. If you value your time and money, do not use Terminix. They misled us, provided ineffective service, refused accountability, and ignored us completely after taking our payment.
The worst company
The worst company! I booked two months in advance, no one showed, no calls. AVOID THIS TERRIBLE COMPANY.
I am going to send them an invoice for my lost time. I am going to contact ORKIN instead,
Whatever you do DO NOT HIRE TERMINEX..TERMINATE THEIR SERVICES
Absolutely Terrible Experience – Avoid Terminix
I had one of the worst customer service experiences with Terminix. I scheduled an inspection, confirmed the appointment, and even reorganized my entire day around it — only to get a text message saying they don’t even offer that service. Why didn’t customer service say this upfront?
I called back to confirm, and a different rep apologized and assured me that yes, they do handle my inspection and rescheduled the appointment. But again, I received another text pushing my appointment to the next day — without any clear explanation. Completely unprofessional.
This back-and-forth has been beyond frustrating. Their staff clearly has no communication or coordination, and their scheduling team is a mess. I had to cancel other pest control companies just to prioritize Terminix — and now I’m stuck waiting another day to start over with someone else.
Terminix wasted my time, caused unnecessary stress, and showed no regard for customer time or needs. If you value professionalism, accountability, and basic communication, look elsewhere. This company clearly doesn’t have its act together.
Terrible experience
Terrible experience. They took advantage of supposedly provided a free inspection then did not provide any service. Instead technician walked around the house put one ant trap out and did not know when he would bring another. He then quoted $13k for a service we did not need or ask for. We told him no and then he asked for $7k as an alternative. We immediately regretted our decision to contact them and cancelled in writing and email within there 3-day cancellation policy. They are refusing to give us our deposit back. Corporate office did not respond for several days and then said sorry this is a franchise. Beware of Terminix of Gastonia, NC and Terminix in general
19 years with Terminix and DONE
After 19 years with Terminix, we couldn’t take it anymore. HORRIBLE customer service. There is no way to directly reach a local customer service rep. We call, are told someone will get back in 24-48 hours, which almost never happens; it takes two or more rounds of this to get a contact. Then, once an appointment is scheduled, we will often get a text outside the appointment window that the tech is on the way when it is usually too late to make other arrangements. Or they sometimes show up anyway when you tell them not to come.
Most recently, we called to make an appointment for tenting (we had a contract); they promised to call back in 24-48 hours; they did not. We called again, same promise. No call back. I texted a local senior inspector who had been at the house before (whose contact I had). After one week, I had to text again, and then he texted the local office. It STILL took another two weeks (for a total of three) for someone to contact us. By that time, we hired another company and told them to forget it. Of course some inspector showed up anyway when we weren’t home, wrote a report saying he walked around the house an saw nothing (the termites were swarming INSIDE, not outside).
We can’t take it anymore and are finished with them.
Terminix promises the world but don’t trust them
Terminix promises the world and undelivered. There customer service has no escalation capability. If you have a billing complaint, they will not address it. They have low integrity and poor management.
I have a rental that I asked them not to go into until the guests leave. They said no problem. I ended up having mice land in traps they set up inside while my guests were there. The rep that sold the very expensive package just ghosted me. I had significant complaints from the guests and corporate is silent and won’t call me back.
Don’t use this company, the lack of integrity and leadership is overwhelming
The worst customer service
This company knows nothing about customer service. The treatment they did on their first visit did not solve the problem. I was told the follow up appointment would be a week later but they never scheduled it. I tried to use their portal to reschedule but that is completely useless. And when I got an email from manager Chris Ratajcyk to schedule my follow up, I responded within 5 minutes and then never heard back from him. I see where the technicians get the idea that customer service isn't important. They're learning it from their management team. Technicians don't show up when they're scheduled and the work is shotty. Overpriced and the worst customer service I have ever seen. If you're reading this review, do business with someone better.
Great Job Deorick!
Deorick was great in customer service addressing my concerns and rescheduling my appointment to ensure I can get the service that I needed to be completed. Very professional, kind and patient in his assistance. Thank you!
We paid in full for the ultimate…DO NOT USE TERMINIX THEY LIE
We paid in full for the ultimate protection from Terminix in Lagrange Ga. I called them this morning to get someone out today as the Ultimate guarantee states they would do and the employee that sold us this lie promised us. We have ants everywhere on the walls ceilings windows in my bed all in my kitchen bathrooms this is unacceptable from terminix. I spoke with Scott in Lagrange I asked for his boss he said his boss was sitting next to him listening. Obviously there are 2 able bodied employees of terminix doing nothing sitting inside the ac when a paid customer has an emergency they don’t care. They get paid for false promises and lies and doing nothing! DO NOT BELIEVE ANY ONE FROM TERMINIX . DO NOT CALL THEM CALL ANY OTHER INSECT PEOPLE . I AM HAVING TO CALL ANOTHER ONE AND THEY ARE COMING RIGHT OUT. I WILL SEND MY BILL TO TERMINIX BECAUSE THEY ARE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGE DONE TO MY HOME BECAUSE OF THE INSECTS.

Terminix Hires Thugs in Leesburg Fl
A Terminix vehicle with the driver named John truck #825702 was blocking my driveway. He saw me get into my vehicle; we made eye contact. So, I assumed he would move so I can back out. Well, that was my first mistake apparently. I honked my horn twice to have him back out. He did not move. I got out and knocked on his window. He rolled down and proceeded to scream at me to not come at him this way. Then he got out of the vehicle and said he was not moving. I told him that I was sorry I knocked, that I did not bang on it as he accused me of. I said I honked twice but he responded that he did not hear me. Seriously? My horn is 2 feet from your door! He had a chip on his shoulder, this had nothing to do with me, but he decided to take it out on me. Then he proceeded to call me a fat white woman. Lord, here we go with the fat remarks! Now my neighbor did not hear this going on, but I have reported it to him, my retirement community and the police. You do not need to come out of your vehicle to verbally assault anyone who just asked you to move. I don't get it. He continued to argue even when I apologized. This is wrong. I was not being a Karen. I just wanted to go to my appointment. AND I am 60 so who cares if I am fat or not. Just move your truck for Pete's sake. That's all you had to do. Why the drama? Why the name calling?
Lying branches and useless corporate
The branch in Palestine Tx happily took our money back in Feb to do a lot of work at a rental property. We live 2 hours away and trusted the house hold brand to honor the contract and do their job, especially when we got an email saying the work was complete.
Lo and behold, we get there sometime later, and NONE of it was done. We had Terminix send out their own inspector who confirmed none of the work was done as well. So now we are in June telling corporate about this, and asking them to start the 1 year warranty WHEN THEY ACTUALLY DO THE JOB. Corp says no, the warranty starts at the contract date. Michael, the manager at the branch in Palestine Texas, was supposed to call us 4 times at this point and explain why his employee committed fraud and put them in breach of contract. It is now July, and we STILL have not heard back from him, nor has the work been completed or our money been refunded despite our demands. On top of this, we were told by customer service that the regional customer service person was supposed to reach out to us last month--guess what? Nothing. We haven't heard crap from anyone at Terminix corporate. They have stolen our money and committed fraud by saying the work was complete.
Do not under any circumstances us this brand for any reason. Their corporate offices are completely useless and will do nothing to help you. They cannot offer refunds or supersede the local branches, even though they said they are not franchises.
Home charged twice within two weeks
I was moving and called Terminix to cancel services. My sister was moving into my home so I told her to call Terminix to start her own service with them and she did. Fast forward two months later, Terminix text me to let me know they were coming to spray the next day. I told them I cancelled my service and to cancel the appointment. They said they removed me from their schedule but they still showed up to spray the next day. No one was home (I didn't live there and my sister was in the hospital giving birth). Mind you, Terminix came to the house two weeks prior to spray under my sisters contract.
Long story short, they sprayed the same house twice within two weeks even though I told them not to come, and my sister paid for her service and now they are trying to charge me for the second spraying.
They will not budge on the second charge.
Ridiculous!! I will never use them again or recommend them again to anyone.
As a new client calling in for the…
As a new client calling in for the first time tonight, I was shocked by the level of unprofessionalism. The agent I spoke with was incredibly rude — she placed me on hold without asking for my consent, then abruptly said, "I'll transfer you," without even explaining why or giving me a chance Took screenshots of the call,I called again to report the issue and spoke with Thaz, and took down my information for a supervisor to call me back within 24hours First impressions matter — and unfortunately, this one was very poor.
Pushy Sales Staff
My mother was very recently moved to an assisted living center/memory care unit, so naturally we are working on selling her house. Had to call Terminix to (1) make sure there were no outstanding obligations and (2) cancel any further mailings or phone calls. I've had an easier time canceling gym memberships. The guy I spoke with was extremely pushy with his sales pitch to the point of being a rude little jerk and telling me that I should be talking to my realtor before canceling service. Given the situation, this was completely unnecessary. Terminix needs to teach their sales team some discretion.
I am writing this review about a recent…
I am writing this review about a recent service I have acquired with Terminix.
I, along with other individuals residing in Pomona, purchased one of your plans for $282.42 one time, with a 30-day guarantee service to eliminate the roaches, which is a lot for us living on social security. Regrettably, we are facing a severe infestation in our home. We tried to get rid of it ourselves, but were not successful. So we decided to go with the so-called professionals, Terminix.
The first day of service on June 5, a Terminix technician inspected our home and offered an alternative solution by switching to a monthly service plan and not going through the proper channels to contact the branch office in San Bernardino because they would charge more. I thought the gentleman was being disengenuous and dishonest. After he finished the first treatment, which was less than 15 min., he advised me to schedule additional treatments before the 30-day guarantee is up.
I called for three more services because we still have more roaches in our home than ever, as though no pesticides were applied or even traps left to get rid of the pests. What did I pay for $282.42?, and is this a ploy to change our plan to a monthly with Terminix on top of $282.42? We still see hundreds of them in the kitchen sink all over the house, with no relief from the infestation. Furthermore, it is a hassle to assist the senior citizens, one individual who can hardly walk let alone remain outside the premise for 2 hours. The last treatment, they didn't even spray, and once again, the technician further reiterated that we should switch our plan to a monthly one, which we couldn't afford. I truly believe pest exterminator services such as Terminix can control the infestation with one visit. It's the monthly subscription they want you to continue paying.
Enough of this nonsense. I requested a full refund of my money but to no avail. I will further post a detailed review on every social media platform and report Terminix to the BBB as a very unsatisfied customer. And, I will not stop until this complaint is satisfied.
Terminix should resolve this issue in the most effective and timely manner.
Terminix Maine is a scam organization
Terminix Maine is a scam organization. DO NOT USE THEM OR RECOMMEND TO FRIENDS. I signed a $2700 exclusion contract to place a metal band around our house and garage at the level of the cedar shakes/cement foundation for 240 linear feet. When the Terminix crew chief came out to do the work, he told my wife that it "didn't need to be done." The crew left without DOING ANYTHING ON THAT CONTRACT!! Terminix won't refund my money. I have now initiated a civil suit.
Also try contacting Terminix. They have a national answering service that supposedly relays message to the state office. But Terminix does not have an office in Maine. They are represented in Augusta by an intermediary firm. There are plenty of reliable pest control services in Maine. AVOID TERMINIX.
Very disappointed with their service
Very disappointed with their service. We had as many ants (if not more) after the service. This was the last service call on the year contract. When I asked if there was any type of guarantee with the service they performed I was told not any more because I was paying for the last service call. For a cost of over $1200 I feel we should have received a follow up service for the last visit that showed no results. Very poor customer relations.
Unreliable, Unreliable, and also Unreliable.
I am referencing the office that services the New River Valley in Virginia
Service from this branch has always been hit or miss, but my recent attempts to get a Wood Eating Organism inspection have been complete failures. My first attempt was with a technician who had a medical emergency and had to leave. Unfortunate, but these things happen. I was told that the inspection would be rescheduled ASAP, but I ended up having to text with the tech for days, and then call the main number again before I got rescheduled, resulting in a 2 week delay. As this inspection is for a home refinance, it is time-sensitive and delayed the loan.
The second appointment resulted in a no-call, no-show. The main office for the company wasn't even able to get ahold of the tech. This was on the weekend, so while I was frustrated, I could understand that would be hard to get techs to honor.
My third attempt came the following week during normal business hours. I again did not see any of the automated messages saying the tech was on the way, so I called the main office. AGAIN they were unable to get the tech on the phone and had to reschedule another week out.
I am beyond frustrated and have zero confidence in this branch's ability to conduct the most basic professional functions. I was willing to put this behind me if they could get this done, but now I've been trying to get this inspection for a month. I will be looking into other pest control options in the area.
Good termite treatment
I have to say that today’s service by Mr. Fadson was above and beyond any of the previous technicians. He was very meticulous about finding the areas where termites were present. Unfortunately I can’t say the same about the rest of the company. Kudos to Mr. Fadson!
