Warning Fire hazard!!!
In May 2023, I purchased a bike that initially seemed perfect, but by September, I began to hear a troubling clunking noise. After some investigation, I discovered that the issue stemmed from the controller. I reached out to Tesgobike's customer service, and they assured me that a replacement controller would be sent. A month later, I received it, but it only lasted three weeks before failing again. In October, I contacted them once more, and they sent another controller, which also failed after three weeks, this time accompanied by smoke. Upon inspecting the compartment, I found that the green wire had melted against the others. I emailed Tesgobike again, and they sent yet another controller, but the same issue recurred. When I requested a replacement bike or a refund, both were denied. As my warranty expired in May 2024, I foolishly ordered another controller, only to face delays and poor communication. When it finally arrived in July, the green wire burned so severely that the connector broke. Since May, I've resorted to using Uber for transportation, and despite reaching out to Tesgobike two weeks ago, I've received no response. I urge potential buyers to steer clear of these bikes; the electrical system is dangerously flawed and could lead to a fire hazard. I spent $1,799 on this bike, and it has turned into nothing more than a doorstop in my kitchen. Tesgobike, your lack of accountability and the sale of defective products have left me feeling cheated.
