Calor gas price rip off

Went in to the Texaco service station at Bridge Road Farnborough to get Calor Gas bottle exchanged.
They tried to charge me £48.95 for a bottle that only costs me £32.00 at my local station.
How can some companies be allowed to try to rip us off.

Deliberately Closing Early!

So what time does Holdingham Texaco (Sleaford, Lincolnshire) Garage close?
I turned up at 9:57, was at the DOOR at 9:57, as I got to the door someone decided that they should close the shutter. I even banged on the door. shutters kept coming down.
I went back to the car, with three packages, got my phone and then took pictures - now 9:58 - unfortunately, one cannot upload images on this review site.
So what time do you close?
Everyone now has a mobile phone so closing early isn't an accident.
They would have seen me on CCTV pull up, so that wasn't an accident either.
Please pull the CCTV footage to see if there is anything that I am saying that is incorrect.
Please also pull the CCTV footage from inside the store to see what they were doing, and who was doing it.
I did take a photo of it all locked up at 9:58, but one cannot load an image on this review site.

Texaco Hemingford Grey

I have always found the staff at the Texaco station in Hemingford Grey rude and unhelpful. I thought I would give it another chance today but the service was even worse than I expected. I have friends who have had a similar experience.
I will continue to use the BP station which is farther away from where I live because the staff are always friendly, professional and helpful and the shop is well looked after. I have provided them with a top rated review.

Texaco Sandbanks Road, Lilliput, Poole

Texaco, Sandbanks Road, Lilliput, Poole,

My advice. Do not use this service station under any circumstances whatsoever.

They employ a company called VARS technology who falsely accuse customers of leaving the station without paying for fuel when fuel has been paid for.

They then employ Bailiffs to chase the fictitious debt.

They are Scammers ! ! !

Rude behaviour from Customer service attendant on Avis Road Texaco on 9/05/25

A customer service attendant working on 09/05/25 rudely turned off the washing machine when it was my turn to wash my car. He also rudely spoke to me and refused to listen to my side of the story against what another person who wanted to wash their car had told them. The customer service attendant was friends with this guy from Gatwick Airport Security who had also arrived to wash their car.

When I arrived to wash my car, a lady and her kid was washing their Hyundai Tuscon car. A lady with a white Peugeot sports car was waiting in line to wash. There was no space to queue behind the lady with the Peugeot, as she was close to the road, so I parked on the right side of the fuel station parallel to the washing machine. Whilst waiting a lady with Toyota yaris came and queue behind the White Peugeot car. When the owner of the white Peugeot finished washing, I tried to reverse into the washing bay, only to see the lady with Toyota Yaris drove into the washing bay. I told her I had been waiting before she came, but she said she did not see me waiting in the queue. I let it slide and decided to reverse into the side of the washing bay, so another driver does not drive into the washing bay.

When I reversed, a guy who works for London Gatwick Security waiting in his car came and said that he has been waiting to wash his car. I told him I have been waiting to wash my car before he arrived, and that I was parked on the side of the building lateral to the washing bay. He said that he also saw me reverse into the side of the washing bay, and that he is mate with the customer service attendant and that he was going to tell the customer service attendant.

When the customer service attendant came, he would not even listen to my side of the case. I said that he would turn off the washing machine if I drive into the washing bay after the ladies with Toyota Yaris finishes washing their car.

He went ahead and turn off the washing machine at 18:30 and refused to turn if back on for 10 minutes whilst I wait in the washing bay.

Date: April 30, 2025 | Time: Around 9:30 AM

Today, I visited your location to send a package. Upon arrival, I was asked by a staff member to wait, as she was handling a line of customers paying for fuel. I understood and waited patiently. However, during this time, several more customers were served ahead of me—at least 10 to 12 individuals—while I continued to wait politely.

After waiting for over five minutes, I respectfully asked if I could also be served, reminding her that I, too, was a customer. Her response was shocking and unprofessional: she raised her voice at me in front of others and accused me of being rude. This was, without a doubt, the worst customer service experience I have ever encountered.

The staff member in question is tall with dark hair. I sincerely hope this message reaches her and management as well. Due to this unacceptable behavior, I will not be returning, and I will be advising my friends and contacts to avoid this location as well.

Please address this serious issue and ensure your staff treat all customers with the respect they deserve.

Bad quality fuels

Since late summer the quality of Diesel from Texaco's forecourts has dropped significantly. I used to get a range above 600 miles when I had filled up - now it is in 530's and 540's - that is a significant drop over 10%. What has happened here? Well adding biofuels to the mix is totally pointless as they do with petrol too... All that happens is that we pay more for our per milage cost and the state (HMRC) collects more duty. In the end we wont be poluting less because we have to buy more fuel to get there so, as an elderly gentleman once put it: "Whats the bloody point"?

I am beyond shocked and appalled by my experience at the Texaco petrol station. While stopping for a quick refuel, I couldn’t believe my eyes when Lana Rhoades and Mia Khalifa were present. To make matters worse, there was a camera crew blatantly filming on-site—without my permission!

This is a petrol station, not a film set. I felt incredibly uncomfortable and violated, knowing I was potentially being recorded without my consent. Privacy should be a fundamental right, and this was a clear breach of it. What’s worse, the presence of public figures like Lana and Mia only amplified the chaos, as people gathered and turned what should have been a quiet stop into a circus.

To the station management: please take steps to ensure customers feel safe and respected. To the camera crew: filming people without their permission is unacceptable and unlawful. This whole ordeal was an invasion of privacy, and I’ll think twice before returning to this Texaco location. I was then asked if I would like to attend the hub show. so in the end it was a brilliant trip to texaco but plswarn me next time. ;)

Texaco Chorley New Rd Horwich

Texaco Chorley New Rd Horwich
Cheapest fuel prices in the area but my car absolutely drinks it in comparison to other fuels on sale in the locality.
Seem to recall they have been in trouble previously for selling counterfeit vapes, I wonder if the fuel is the same?
Shop is a tip and the whole operation looks scruffy, much better when it belonged to Gordons Ford

Tyre Machine no working properly and nobody cares

Their tyre machine in Salisbury cannot be operated because it is neither free to use nor does it have any method of accepting payment. Officially you pay by card, but I had a wallet full of perfectly valid cards that worked fine everywhere else that i went to on to use that same day and a long time after with no problem whatsoever, but any card you swipe to pay with is automatically deemed as not exisiting, they also forgot to add a coin slot and token slot, leaving it a machine that doesnt function. Report it to staff and they told me to F Off and get my tyre inflated up the road. So nice work Texaco, after years of regualrly fillling up at Tesco I now will never use them again, nice work MR Texaco, sounds like a great business strategy that will drive millions of customers from using you altogether and put your firm out of business, yeah nice work, why dont you showcase it on dragons den as the future way of doing business.
