While we don't verify specific claims because reviewers' opinions are their own, we may label reviews as "Verified" when we can confirm a business interaction took place. Read more

Poor contact

The app experience was variable for me. Problems at the getgo (due to a previous sign-up with a different email) were resolved by helpful staff but latterly there was alternating functionality so I wrote in to say I'd had enough. Deafening silence from the staff member contacted, hence this review (after a warning by me).

One year review

I have used TextExpander for over a year now (just renewed my annual subscription!) so I thought I'd worked with it long enough to share my experience.

I LOVE it. This saves me SO MUCH time writing emails that I get frequently and simplified my documentation process without using AI tools that I'm uncomfortable with.

They had an iPhone app that was in beta that disappeared recently, which I am hoping returns soon. Honestly I'd pay extra to be able to use it on my phone as well as my laptop.

Making snippets is so easy, and it recommends new snippets if I type the same thing many times, saving me even more time. They also have some public lists you can subscribe to with pre-made shortcuts, like APA formatting for articles.

Thank you!!

Easy to set up, saves so much time!

Text Expander has made my workflow so much quicker and easier, by creating simple keyboard shortcuts for all sorts of things - from a couple words, to a paragraph or entire email, to URLs and more. The program is super easy to set up and use, and works right from the start. I've found that when using it in Airtable, I need to set my fields to Rich Text for it to work it's best there. I am not as thrilled with the browser extension which seemed to cause my PC to be a bit slower to respond, although it could have been conflicting with one of the many other extensions that I use. I'm heading to the end of my free trial but definitely going to subscribe. It's worth every penny!

Life-Changing Good

This software is great so I am writing a review out of sheer gratitude. In my work, I write as I interview to people. As I type, I write boilerplate and lists that I check off. If I did not have this software I would literally not be able to work as well as I do. I tried two other text-expanding programs. One was too basic and one was too hard.
