I order nearly all my books from Thalia. It's not easy to get all english books in the local stores and I try to avoid Amazon. So Thalia's Online Shop is great!

Simply the best!

Ebook purchase here is a mistake, unless you want to be able to read the ebook only in their app. Not transferrable to other ebook environments as you will only receive acsm lisense, for which you need more apps to convert. Never again.

Everytime I go there the staff is very nice, always helping out if I need information or simply just guidance for finding a specific book.

However one time I saw in the App that a specific coloring book is in stock in the store (Linz, Landstraße), when I went to the store surprisingly wasn’t there even tho on the computer of the staff it showed there should be 3 books in the store. Wasn’t much of a inconvenience, only that i expected it to be there (according to the app), went there and it wasn’t.

Received a number of giftcards from Thalia for my birthday. On one of them the code was glued in such a way that the pincode became unreadable. I contacted the service center who told me they would reset the card. I tried again and it did not work. I went to a Thalia store, they told me only the customer service center can help me. I contacted the customer service center, asking for a refund. They told me only the store where I bought the card can help me. Obviously as it's a giftcard I do not know the store it came from, nor do they provide me with this information.

So, Thalia ended up with my birthday gift though they did not even say thank you.

I was regular customer of Weltbild, but after they became thalia, I don`t really like this store.
Long delivery and they don`t check the quality, if you order expensive books as a gift, they can come damaged
On the positive side, I can note a large selection and good prices

If you love Cardan and Jude, this is for you! I absolutely loved it. And also the drawings were a really nice touch.

I had an incredibly frustrating experience with the Thalia online shop, and I strongly advise against using their services.

I ordered 8 books and initially received 7. Since the books were from two different publishers, I returned 3 of them to the store. I received the necessary documentation and a refund for those 3 books. However, weeks later, they sent me the last book and charged me for it separately.

To make matters worse, they recharged me for the 3 books I had already returned and been refunded for. I decided to return the last book as well, which was also from the publisher I didn’t choose. While I did receive a refund for the last book, I was still incorrectly charged for the 3 books I had already returned.

I contacted customer service multiple times, but they were unhelpful and requested irrelevant information, such as the IBAN of the account that charged my card—something my bank told me doesn’t exist for card transactions. Despite my efforts and even visiting the store where I returned the books, no one has resolved the issue. It has been two months, and I still haven't received my refund or the books I was charged for.

This experience has been a complete nightmare. I will be getting my books elsewhere in the future, and I do not recommend Thalia to anyone who doesn’t want to deal with a massive headache and terrible customer service.

The staff was absolutely friendly, and service went as fast as light travels :)

Lovely stores to go in and nice online purchasing process.

The order was ready very fast. I could collect it from the shop which I had chosen at any time of the opening hours of the shop. That's more comfortable for me than waiting at home for delivery.

Really, overall, we are really satisfied with the service at Thalia. We are long-term customers.

Ordered a book set by the end of november and it was stated in the product that it will get delivered in 3-4 weeks. It's been more than 3 months now and I haven't even received an updated delivery date. The product still states that it will take 3 weeks to deliver which is clearly a lie, since when writing them about my order all I get in return is a message that even they don't know when I will receive the book set.

I love visiting their bookstores in Vienna - it feels like they have everything you need + lovely atmosphere. Once I had some shipping issues due to a wrong address and it definitely took them a while to do something about it, but overall I've had a good experience with the staff.

The books arrived on time, although being delayed at another step in the process. The covers are in very good condition.
