We have just finished our treck to Everest base camp with the adventure people, they were absolutely fantastic very helpful and sort everything out. Our guide ram was fantastic a very wide knowledge on the Himalayas and I now consider him a friend! I cannot recommend using this group enough and I encourage anyone too book with this team. I’m already looking to book again for the Annapurna treck next year!

Everest Base Camp Trek 6/10/2025

From start to finish my experience with the adventure people has been fantastic.

Booking: was a very simple process and the information provided in the pack was very detailed. All my questions were answered promptly making the process very simple.

Arrival: after giving all my flight details I was met at the airport by a company representative and taken to the very lovely Ramada hotel in Thamel.
The team conducted an inbrief on the evening of arrival and any essential kit was provided (down jacket, duffel bag if needed). We were well briefed on what to expect and what essential items were required for the trek. There is a 15kg total weight limit for the flight to Lukla so, packing the right items is essential. Anything you may need can be easily sourced in Thamel from one of the many trekking shops.

The Trek: fantastic! I cannot praise our guide (Prakash) highly enough. He was very attentive and was able to help with every aspect of the trek (essential kit, health, required pacing, dealing with altitude, travel disruption, etc) his knowledge of the trek and especially describing the many peaks is first class - great guy! In fact, the whole team of assistant guides and porters were awesome.

Post trek: great outbrief and celebratory dinner with the team and fellow trekkers.

The trek itself requires some level of physical fitness however, the trek will require at least 90% mental fortitude. With the right mindset I believe most people can achieve this however, your mental game needs to be on point as it will thoroughly test you.
The Sagamartha region is very remote and amenities are extremely basic once past Namche Bazaar. The views are certainly worth the hardships.

Really amazing experience, super smooth process in terms of transfers from Kathmandu airport to hotel and internal transfers, really knowledgeable and friendly guides and super manageable pace of trekking! Had the best time and would highly recommend if you're thinking about doing EBC.

Nothing was too much trouble to Indira and Parashu; from helping locate lost luggage to early access to hotel rooms and changing from airplane to helicopter flights. Our guide Sarala was absolutely wonderful , our health and wellbeing were her No 1 priority, ensuring we ate and drank appropriately at all times . Sarala used her
vaste experience to pace the walk to our abilities ,so even when conditions were quite challenging we were never in any distress. I cannot recommend her highly enough.

My partner and I went with The Adventure People on the 14-day Everest Base Camp Trek. It was an incredible experience that will be difficult to top, walking the Himalayas in varied terrains and weather! Spectacular! We were exceptionally well looked after by our guide Anish, who took great care with our well being. When I was finding it tough with the altitude and breathlessness (and despite the training I had done to prepare), Anish walked with me at my pace and kept checking in to make sure I was ok. He also took care of our groups every need 24/7, and was very amenable and responsive to our requests. The tea houses we stayed in were basic but exceeded our expectations for a comfortable stay. Adventure People representatives also provided great advice and support - they want everyone to succeed! They also facilitated our journey back to Kathmandu via helicopter after our flight was cancelled, which added to the great adventure. An experience I cannot recommend highly enough!

It was great to go to ebc with adventure people. Right from reception to good bye’s it was an excellent experience with Mr Ram and Mrs Indira. Our guide Pooja and her team were great in planning and preparing for the whole day ahead of time everyday and make sure that everyone was catered to their pace and personal needs. The porters were great team players as well wherever needed. We had a 100% success for our team and highly recommend them to anyone planning a trip to Everest base camp 👍

The Salkantay trek is breathtaking and exceptional. Through the organisers we had perfect meals, no stress, and a very welcome and safe feeling in the mountains and jungle.

My tour was actually ran by G-Adventures. It would be better if I booked it directly with them as the communication would have been more smoothly and straightforward. I would also benefit with discounts for next booking in that case. However, the Adventure People has a responsive online customer service team and was easy to reach via chat box. But since they are not the tour providers, I didn’t get any information about the tour in my account until I chased them myself. I also couldn’t change my itinerary last minutes like if I booked directly with G. Finally I couldn’t rated the tour guide I had in Peru to thank him. All in all, it is better book it directly with tour operators. But thank you for having a responsive online customer service!

I've just completed the Everest Base Camp trek and had the best of times. The Adventure People were able to answer my questions and concerns prior to the trip promptly. During the trip, our guides, Tika and Lal, explained everything upfront and went overboard to ensure the group had the best chance of completing the trek safely and on schedule. They even helped clear the clouds to give us the best view of the mountains! (okay, we got lucky there). I certainly wouldn't hesitate to book another trip with this company. 5/5 from me ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I went to Japan with a group tour booked through adventure people. A very helpful lady called Rosanagh was my agent and made the process quick, easy and personal. The only small issue when I was in country was quickly corrected after I sent a n email and didn't impact anything. The trip was incredibly well organised, had an excellent and varied itinerary, and despite being a budget trip, the accommodation was brilliant. Nothing negative to say! Already booking my next trip through adventure people for next year!

Their encouragement, kindness, and expertise made all the difference – I felt safe, inspired, and motivated the entire way. They handled every detail perfectly, which allowed me to fully enjoy the adventure without worry.

Such a fun trip, great tour guide and the variety of activities was great. Really helpful staff from the adventure people, answering questions where needed before the trip.

Only potential issue which luckily wasn't a problem but thought I should note is, the 'departure guaranteed' online might not be the case (ours was written as an error) so just double check with the support team that it's all 100% before you go all in and book your flights.

I recently completed the base camp trek with The adventure people. I was new to trekking and concerned about whether I could complete it. I was so pleased I booked this company. Before I even started I was supported and guided on details/equipment. The whole trip was organised in a professional, efficient way yet maintaining a friendly enjoyable experience. The guide 'Prakash' and porters were exceptional. They ensured our safety and wellbeing throughout to the highest. level. I don't think I would have achieved my goal without their help.
